Getting to Key West
Key West is located at the end of the Florida Keys chain of islands, 150 miles south of Miami Florida. You can reach Key West by land, sea, or air.
By Air
Key West has a small airport served by American, Delta, Continental, and US Air. Connections come through Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, and Atlanta. The airport is located at the east end of the island, three miles outside the Historic District. Cabs are available for the five minute ride into town.
By Land
Key West is connected to the Florida mainland by the Overseas Highway - US 1. This very scenic drive through the Florida Keys takes about three hours from Miami.
By Sea
Key West Express provides passenger ferry service between Ft Meyers Beach and Key West. The trip takes about 3.5 hours. The ferry dock is located at the Historic Seaport.
