Key West is located at mile marker zero, the Southernmost Point in the United States. We are at the end of the Florida Keys chain of islands, surrounded by a beautiful Marine Sanctuary, 150 miles south of Miami, Florida. You can reach Key West by land, sea, or air.
Key West has a small airport served by American, US Air, Delta, Continental and Air Tran. Connections come through Miami, Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, and Atlanta. The airport is located at the east end of the island, three miles outside the Historic District. Cabs are available for the five minute ride into town.
Key West is connected to the Florida mainland by the Overseas Highway – US 1. This very scenic drive through the Florida Keys takes about three hours from Miami.
Key West Express provides passenger ferry service between Ft Meyers Beach and Key West. The trip takes about 3.5 hours. The ferry dock is located at the Historic Seaport.
