“First and foremost, a HUGE thank you from both of us to you and the staff at Lighthouse Court for making sure our wedding weekend was beautiful, memorable and fantastic. The Hemingway Suite was very romantic, we loved the view of the Lighthouse from the bed at night. It was a whirlwind for us the week leading up to the wedding and it was such a relief that Mary made sure that everything looked perfect and ran so smoothly, especially since it was on a sailboat at sunset! I can tell you that we have many comments from our guests that ours was ‘the best wedding they had ever been to’ and that it was ‘like a fairy tale on water’ etc. Thank you for helping us create wonderful memories and we will be back for our honeymoon next year!” ~ Kimberly & Thom Shephard “I made two hotel room reservations at Chelsea House. The occasion was our wedding. We had a room on the second floor, which was a great room, loved the balcony facing the front of the house and the relaxing atmosphere. Our guests for the wedding arrived early and we were able to check in for them. The room was ready for them and they were able to take a rest from the long trip to Key West before enjoying an evening out on the town. Everything for me was so convenient. I made a last minute appointment for nails and it was withing walking distance. I also had a hair appointment the day of the wedding and I was able to walk to and from the salon. The front desk clerks were so helpful in arranging taxi’s when needed. After our wedding and after our guests left, we stayed and we were able to enjoy the complimentary tickets to Ernest Hemingway home and the Lighthouse Museum (again very close to Chelsea House). We loved it and it was a perfect end to our great time in Key West. The pool and all areas of the House were very clean and well kept. I highly recommend this hotel and I will definitely return soon! ~ Hilda Berrios Gonzalez “We traveled to Key West 02/03/2013 – 02/10/2013 for our wedding, which was across the street at the Hemingway House. The first 4 nights we stayed in a King Guestroom that had its own front porch. The room was wonderful and the front porch offered a bunch of great people watching! The last 3 night’s we stayed in the Hemingway Suite. Words can’t describe how wonderful the suite is!! It was absolutely amazing! It is the most amazing place we have ever stayed. The view from the porch was great…as well as the romantic view of the lighthouse. The staff were more than helpful the entire time we were there. Also, the Mojito Bar has the best Key Lime Mojito that we have ever tasted. We would like to thank the entire staff for making our stay memorable! Thank you so, so much.” ~ Scott and Casey White “We had our wedding ceremony on the grounds of the Lighthouse Court. We booked everything site unseen, coordinated with Danielle – everything turned out wonderful! We could not have asked for anything more. Our families stayed on the property as well and we all felt at home, it is just the right size and the right location where you feel you have the whole place to yourself, yet is only a short walk from Duval St. We stayed in the Hemingway Suite, very cool. Our guests stayed in both the King and Standard rooms, all are very charming and have the essential amenities. The front desk crew was great, so friendly and helpful, especially Jeremiah – super nice guy! Thanks to the Lighthouse Court Hotel for a great vacation and a beautiful wedding!” ~ Molly and Berk Koprulu “The Historic Key West Inns served as the absolute perfect setting to host over 100 guests for our wedding! From the original meeting with the group coordinator, Denice, to the organization of rooms and friendly staff throughout the weekend we could not have been happier. In order to accommodate such a large group, we decided on taking over the entire Key Lime Inn, and half of the Chelsea House next door. Denice was extremely organized and allowed us to make sure each of our guests needs were met – from the young to the young at heart, everyone complimented on what a wonderful place it was to stay for such an amazing weekend.” ~ Cameron and Wendi Trant “My fiance John and I visited the Lighthouse Court on June 6-7th. We researched your Inn’s on line because we were looking for a place to hold our upcoming wedding. Our research led us to the Lighthouse Court and the Hemingway Suite there; it’s across the street from the Hemingway House. After looking online we wanted to see the place and get the vibe in person. “We were not disappointed! From our first impression of the grounds to meeting with the staff, everything was great. We had the pleasure of meeting and spending time with Denice Suriner. She helped us visualize our ideas, provided us with local contacts and helped us with our guest accommodations. She is definitely a bonus and you are lucky to have her on your staff! “We are planning our Key West wedding in October and we are booking the Hemingway Suite for us as well as bringing 18 of our friends with us! They are all staying at the Lighthouse Court as well. “We look forward to our upcoming wedding and spending time at your lovely resort ” -Michelle O’Neill and John Powers “I just wanted to send a quick thank you to you and your staff for making our stay in the Merlin Guesthouse a memorable time. You all were extremely accommodating and patient with us and all our requests. I hope it wasn’t too trying for you. Everything turned out beautifully and we all had a wonderful time, in spite of the tremendous heat, which no one had any control over. Thank you again! We will be sure to contact you when we plan to stay in Key West again.” -Shelley and Paul Calandra ” We really just can’t thank you and your staff at the Lighthouse Court for everything; from the pre-planning of rooms for the wedding, to the reservations, to the actual visit. This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Lighthouse and it will continue to be the place that we come back to when we visit Key West. This time, obviously being there for a week in September for our wedding, is our best stay yet! I have to say we had the option to stay at the Hyatt where the actual wedding was – however we chose the Lighthouse Court because we knew it was clean, accommodating, and really what Key West is all about for us. We had 50 people staying there for at least 4 days and not one of them had any complaints…that’s impressive. We have even had people come up to us after the wedding and the reception and tell us they were glad that we were all staying at the Lighthouse because the Hyatt was nice, but the Lighthouse is like nothing other. I mean, really, who can beat being a block off Duval, of course a prime location for Key West nightlife, waking up every morning with a spectacular view of the Hemingway Key West home and the Lighthouse, 4 blocks from the Southernmost Point; it really doesn’t get much better. So again, we thank you, and look forward to staying with you again soon.” -~ Danielle Beichner Cornell ” Thank you ALL so much for a wonderful wedding weekend! Our guests loved the Merlin Guesthouse; it was a great environment for our entire group and we loved having the hotel to ourselves! Thank you SO MUCH, Denice, for taking the time to show us as many rooms as you did. We really appreciate all of your help in planning all the details for our very special event. Please say hi to Jordan the big, funny house cat and to all the staff, especially Kate, who helped make our stay so memorable!!” ~ Tabi & Jessica Deas “Our wedding was just beautiful! We would recommend any event at the Historic Key West Inns in Key West, Florida. The event planner, Denice Suriner, I spoke with over the phone before our major event made me feel confidant that she was able to make our wedding special and she live up to our expectations. She had every detail in place from the officiant, photographer, beautiful bouquet, and gazebo. If you are looking for a place to get married or renew your wedding vows, this is the place.
