Good Morning,

From the moment we walked in, the Staff made me & my wife, welcomed! Professional, kind & courteous. The grounds are lovely & the breakfast in the morning was real nice.

The room we had was quite nice!

We cannot wait to stay with you again…soon!

Great job everyone!

Warm Regards,

Carl & Ivy Ramallo :)

Initially we had booked @ the Albury, but the week before I changed my mind and switched to the Chelsea House.  We arrived a little before check-in and were just going to leave our bags and wander about until our room was ready. The staff was kind enough to upgrade us from the Superior Queen we had booked to a Deluxe King that was already clean so we didn’t have to wait to get settled in (after being up before the sun to catch our first flight this was a welcomed surprise). The room was beautiful with original hardwood floors, soaring ceilings, stately built-in’s and a comfy seating area.

We want to thank the Chelsea House for such an OUTSTANDING job they did accommodating all of our guests that we had in town for our wedding in Key West. Upon arrival for all of our guests, even those that arrived after hours, was so easy. Desiree has such an AMAZING spirit and contagious personality. She made everything go so smoothly for our stay and was very accommodating. When we arrived to our room we preferred a downstairs room and she very quickly rectified the situation to make our stay as comfortable as possible! We really appreciate all of the smiles and celebratory comments made to my husband and I while staying at Chelsea House by the staff. The only thing I can recommend is speaking to a couple of certain gentlemen. The first one was a man by the name of Brian who I believe is a concierge at the front. My cousin whom lives in Key West mistook him for someone else and accidentally called him by the wrong name. This gentleman was not very friendly afterwards. Rather than correct his name he made the check in experience for a couple of my guests very uncomfortable. I did the same thing with Desiree accidentally calling her a different name she kindly corrected me so I didn’t feel like a moron and was a non-issue. This was not the case for this man. The second thing I wanted someone to be aware of is there was a gentleman walking around I assume he was the night manager. Yes he was doing his job because we did have some guests in the pool after 10. The way he approached us and spoke to us was on the not so nice side. I explained to him yes I understand we cannot be in the pool after hours however if we quiet down could we keep our toes in the water (which had been previously approved by a different night manager) since I had just gotten married and we were just relaxing and enjoying ourselves. He might as well have said I don’t care ya’ll have to leave. Very disheartening considering 1. it was my wedding night 2. my wedding guests and I paid a lot of money to enjoy ourselves. With that being said they were a small mole on our weekend. Everyone had such an amazing time at your property. The rooms were always maintained as well as the property! I would definitely consider staying there again for a different occasion. Thank you again to everyone who helped our stay be as wonderful as our wedding!

I highly recommend this hotel!! The room was clean and cute, they allowed the dog as long as you tell them ahead of time so they can put you in one of their pet rooms…which was ground floor (so you can take him out whenever you need to without having to go up and down 2 flights of stairs!) and didn’t share a wall with any other rooms so if he barked he didn’t bother anyone! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. It’s walking distance to Duval (we parked the car when we checked in and didn’t have to move it until we checked out.) We could walk everywhere from here, yet it wasn’t SO close that we had to deal with drunk noise all night. And it’s reasonably priced! Will definitely stay here again!

My friend and I were able to get a room at the Chelsea House Pool and Gardens for Labor day weekend. My friend was never to Key West before so I wanted her to experience the best. Why we chose this hotel because she was able to bring her dog with us and leave her dog in the room, which is an excellent way where you can travel with a pet. It also saved the expense of boarding her pet. We really enjoyed the location near duval street which was in walking distance to many restaurants and bars. Also that breakfast was included in the cost of the room which is another added expense which we saved on. I liked how quiet and peaceful the area was even though it was on a main street. The staff was friendly and helpful too. Overall this was an excellent hotel and will definitely stay again.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful, CLEAN and private.  We loved that we stayed at the Chelsea and had our own private tropical garden entrance that lead out to the pool. From check in to check out the staff were professional, courteous and very responsive to any need we had.  What hard workers! Thanks Leanne, Bryan and all the hotel staff for making our stay a memorable one.  All the information received when we made the reservation was exactly what we expected.  Not being familiar with the area the staff was most helpful with some of the great places of interest to see and dine.  LOVED the Commodore Boat House restaurant on the water.  Great FOOD and HAPPY HOUR PRICES.  It’s amazing how this property has a blend of historical and modern  detail.  Being from Cape May New Jersey that has hundreds of Bed and Breakfast’s that I have had no desire to stay in, I  have to say that my husband and I will again return to the Keys and will stay at the Chelsea or may try one of their other resorts.  We most highly recommend The Chelsea House Pool and Garden to all our friends, family. and reviewers. You won’t be disappointed as it’s everything you could imagine.  WE LOVED CHELSEA.

A beautiful characterful place to stay. Lush trees and bushes surround a lovely pool with plenty of space to relax. Comfortable beds with air con too. The breakfast provided was delicious – muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, boiled eggs, coffee and tea. Walking distance to all the major attractions and a bicycle rental shop half a block away. All round an excellent stay, thank you!

We stayed two nights (Sept 10 and 11) and found the hotel conveniently located to Duval Street and the Old Town.  The room was clean, cool and quiet.  Great having off-street parking and breakfast included with the rate.  Staff were extremely helpful and personable.  I’d recommend this small hotel (two  buildings) to friends.  Enjoy your stay!
