I had the pleasure of spending my first 2 nights in Key West at your charming hotel! I loved the layout of the hotel and its close proximity to downtown Key West. We were able to comfortably walk into town and not have to worry about taking a car and parking a car in town. I also loved the bed and breakfast feel to the hotel and our room and its updated bathroom!!  Most of all, I loved the complimentary breakfast made for us each morning. It felt like home. Thank you for a wonderful visit!!!

Chelsea House has a fantastic location just off the busiest part of duval street. It boasts a wonderful continental breakfast with fresh muffins, cereals, yogurts, local bagels, hard boiled eggs and more. The fact that it is an adult only establishment is evident in the tranquil environment, and the service we received, from front of the house to back of the house, was impeccable.

We would completely recommend this place to any small groups or couples as Chelsea House affords you as little or as much privacy and calm as you desire in the ever bustling key west.

This was a great place to stay. Our room was large and spacious just as we requested.  The location was good close to everything but still quiet. The staff was great. We arrived earlier than planned and they got us into our room early.  My husband had left money on the night stand which had fallen on the floor and the housekeeping staff left all of it on the night stand for us. We have stayed at may places that this would not have happened. The only thing I would have liked was a bigger selection for breakfast. The choices are limited so we had to go out for breakfast each morning.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea House – our room was comfortable and clean with just a couple of caveats (toilet paper holder dangling off wall and ceiling fan needed cleaning) but both were easy fixes. Everyone on staff was super nice. Whether it was a cleaning person, maintenance, concierge or desk staff all had a cheerful hello and willing to answer any questions. The European woman at the desk when we arrived and departed was particularly kind, knowledgeable and so obviously proud to be a part of the organization. If she has not been recognized, please do – she’s a true asset. Next time, and there will be a next time, we plan to try one of the other properties, perhaps Key Lime Inn which looked utterly charming.

As for dining we enjoyed, Off The Hook, a Caribbean/Latin restaurant in an old garage and Mam’s which had great sandwiches.

All around great vacation.

Reservations, check-in, and check-out couldn’t have been more pleasant and easy. Each room was unique, clean, and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the vintage furnishings, public areas, pool, and semi-tropical vegetation. The patio breakfast was relaxing and enjoyable. The Chelsea’s quiet and relaxing location is only a few blocks from the activity on Duval St. and other Key West attractions.  This was our first visit to Key West and we enjoyed our stay so much that we recommended the Chelsea House to our sister, who has since made reservations for next February.

As my father, who was here for a few days from out of the country, my best friend and myself  parked outside the hotel a very nice woman came up to us to greet us and welcome us to the hotel. We walked up to the front desk and she helped us with the check in process and actually offered better accommodations for us since we were bringing an extra guest. She and every single person that we dealt with was informative, helpful and polite making this stay in the hotel, for only one night, the best one in a very long time. The room itself was very clean and cozy. We were close to Duval street and the main touristic places so we didn’t have to drive. Big plus!

I have recommended the place to others and I will definitely stay here every time I visit the keys.

Thanks again

My husband and I just returned from 5 nights at the Chelsea House. He is 82 and has been having knee issues lately so we knew we would need a first floor unit and a kitchenette. Your junior suite rm 32 fit the bill perfectly. We spent many hours on the private porch and I was able to cook dinner and most importantly NOT have to wash dishes! My favorite attraction was the butterfly farm. Soo beautiful. We also spent a great day at southernmost beach.
The room was large, the bed extremely comfortable with a better TV than we have at home! If I were to make any suggestions I would request dish towels and a cutting board for the kitchen and side tables for the couch, the ottoman makes the couch very comfortable but no place to put drinks. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful bagels at breakfast. Thank you for providing such a perfect oasis.

The hotel was great. I arrived very early and thought I would have to come back at the 3 P.M. check in time. I was allowed to check in when I arrived. Right off the bat I was impressed and was not let down once throughout my stay here. I have stayed at about 10 hotels in Key West now, traveling here since the mid-seventies, and this is one of my favorites now. The room was clean, parking was a breeze, very affordable, allows pets and the staff was great. Especially the front desk and breakfast staff. I will return again in hopefully the very near future. Keep up the good work!!!!

We arrived in Key West and, unfortunately, stayed in another hotel before the Chelsea House.  As soon as we realized we made a mistake, I embarked in finding the ideal place the first day and walked to view 3 to 4 hotels.  And I did find it:  The Chelsea House.  The architecture of the hotel is nostalgic:  Victorian, Queen Anne structure individual large homes.  Our room had several windows which invites the precious light of Key West into the room if venetian’s are semi open.

It has a professional staff and a friendly manager who made the introduction to the hotel friendly, easy and accessible.  It provides free parking space under a shaded area beside the hotel.   The room is large, its King size bed is a true king side bed with excellent mattress and the four post that rise above the bed frame compliments the exquisite decoration of an antique and delicate chandelier above the bed.

The hotel is pet friendly, quiet and private but close enough to Duval Street.  The air conditioning maintains a balanced temperature and the furniture in room is minimalist with a settee bench and a King Arthur style cabinet for TV.

The outside staff is discreet, especially a gardener who quietly goes about pruning the garden.  We were able to enjoy a wonderful evening, while participating in the festivities, have fun and relax with a good night’s sleep.

I am glad I took the time the day before to find Chelsea House.  It is a place in Key West to return over and over again.
