I would definitely recommend Chelsea House. The staff was very friendly and helpful and asked several times if our accommodation was ok. They recommended a restaurant (LaTeDa) which turned out to be wonderful. The food was excellent and the show upstairs was very entertaining.
Our room was clean and beds very comfortable. The breakfast was the only drawback. It consisted of coffee, orange juice, local pastries, toast, etc. The breakfast could be improved with scrambled eggs/bacon or sausage (some hot items).  I do not consider this a reason for not returning. I definitely would stay here again.

Thank you staff. You were great.

The hotel was clean and charming.  I loved the breakfast by the pool and the staff was great (very friendly and accommodating)  My group really enjoyed themselves and would definitely come back again to stay.  Can’t stop talking about it…. great experience.

Our weekend getaway from Sarasota was just perfect! Immediately upon arrival Matt at the front desk was courteous, attentive and informative. Reserving our Jr. King Suite online was easy as pie and he assured us it was ready and waiting after out 7 hour road trip and a late arrival.  As a caveat let me add that if one is looking for or expecting accommodations you’d likely find at the Hilton or the Waldorf then stay at either of those hotels. You won’t find it at Chelsea House and that, believe me, is just fine.  The property consists of 3 Victorian era buildings meaning they’re over 100 years old! It’s annoying reading reviews of historic hotels and B&B’s online from people who clearly didn’t do any research prior to their stay and then have the audacity to complain about it!  At any rate, the room was fantastic with its king sized bed, kitchenette, leather sofa, flat screen tv, spacious bathroom, plenty of closet space and our own private balcony overlooking Elizabeth St.  We didn’t engage any of the staff really as we were inclined to keep to ourselves and they were happy to oblige us, although their presence was certainly pleasantly noticeable.

The facilities and grounds were well maintained, beautiful and inviting. We rented an electric vehicle to help us get around and were able to park it as well as our own car at the hotel! Michael’s was recommended to us by the staff for a romantic dinner spot and it did not disappoint.  Other favorite gastro stops included Pepe’s (for breakfast), Joe’s Backyard (for a sunset cocktail) 2 Cents (for happy hour) and the fantastic B.O.s Fish Wagon for lunch or dinner.  I heartily recommend the Chelsea House and any one of the Historic Key West Inns hotels for a romantic and relaxing getaway. We’ll certainly be back!

We only stayed one night at the Chelsea House. It was a nice room, except bathroom was a little too small. We had a balcony room on the 3rd floor with a beautiful view of trees and the pool next door. Breakfast was great by the pool.

Staff was also very welcoming. Answered all of my questions and even recommended some great spots. The manager was also great.

We have traveled to the Keys numerous times over the years and this was undoubtedly the best place we have stayed. The room was neat, clean and spacious. The property is charming  and the location cannot be better.  The staff was more than accommodating and courteous, and the breakfast served each morning was wonderful. We thank them all for an awesome vacation and are already planning our next stay at the Chelsea House.

This is a great place to stay when visiting Key West.  It was walking distance to Duval Street, and the staff was very knowledgable about what was going on in the area.  The check-in/check-out process was easy, and the room was clean. Breakfast was served by the pool, which was nice.  I would definitely stay here again, and I’d also recommend it to a friend.

I had a wonderful stay at Chelsea House. The front desk staff are so nice and helpful and check-in was so easy. I love the fact that have onsite parking for people who drive to Key West. The only thing that I would like to see changed is maybe  a little more to offer in the breakfast, but it really wasn’t a problem.

Very nice hotel. Great location to all Key West attactions. It was great not to have to use the car all the time. Decent breakfast. Nice pool. Nice room. The hospitality desk was good at arranging a boat cruise for us. Would definitely stay there again and have already recommended it to friends planning trips to Key West.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea House.  This was our second visit and it was very enjoyable. A quaint tropical paradise where it is cool and calm yet moments away from the fun and excitement of Duval Street.  Leanne with guest services is a pleasure and knowledgeable of the Key West area. Chelsea House is a very clean and relaxing retreat and will be our first stop on future visits.

My family and I stayed in the Chelsea House for 3 nights – two rooms. Being the first time to Key West I had no idea what the experience would be. We all had a terrific time, ages 21 to 62 years old. Chelsea House is a great place to come back to after an exciting night. The rooms were huge, clean, beautiful, and comfortable. The grounds made you feel like you were in a private oasis. The breakfast was good except for the coffee but, we found a local coffee shop within walking distance. Location was excellent and a nice walk to Duval Street and all the action. I am hoping to stay at the other Historic Key West Inns properties upon my return to Key West.
