Came down to spend New Years in Key West.  Made my reservation all the way back in January as I wanted to make sure we stayed at Cypress House Hotel.  Great rooms, location….pretty much everything!

My husband and I rented three rooms from 12/26-12/29 and visited Key West with a sibling along with our adult children to celebrate our youngest son’s 30th Birthday.  With his Birthday so soon after Christmas, separating the two events has always been a challenge.  We hit a home run this year.  The hotel was well maintained, the staff was accomodating, the hotel was in walking distance to everything, and the overall experience was excellent.  Parking was a challenge, the garage was always full, so the voucher was not helpful, however, the staff quickly refunded those charges.  We would definitely stay here again.

Where do I start?! From the moment we pulled up in our cab from the airport our experience was delightful.  The check-in staff was funny, personable and friendly. Our room was more than we expected.  Loved the tall ceilings, wood floor and charm of the décor. We were right outside the kitchen, so I was lucky enough to get breakfast in bed everyday since my husband simply walked from our door into the kitchen.

The evening Hors d’oeuvres were delicious and the rum drinks very tasty! ALL the staff were wonderful and friendly, always asking if we needed anything. Housekeeping was awesome! We felt like we had the huge house to ourselves as it was very quiet and we hardly ever saw the staff  – they seemed to be like fairies – things just magically appeared.  We vacation in Key West every couple of years – this was our first experience with the Historic Key West Inns group of hotels. Suffice it to say, we will definitely stay at Cypress House Hotel or one of their other Hotels on our next stay.

Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.  Very much appreciated.

Both check in and checkout was awesome.  The staff was exceptional and very accommodating as our departure was later that day and they welcomed us back while they stored our luggage.  I wish I would have jotted down their names but hopefully it will be easy to research so they get the kudos they deserve! Hotel room was clean, comfortable and the grounds the same.  I will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.  Thanks again, we really enjoyed our stay!

I’m so glad we found this little diamond in the rough! It’s setting was just perfect! Close enough to Duval (about 1 block) but far enough away to not be bothered by the noise! The staff were super friendly! Dennis treated us like family! The night staff made sure we had a good place to park as I am handicapped! (Wish I could remember his name-Josh??) The room was right by the pool which was perfect even though we didn’t get in! The setting is just perfect! Plenty of outdoor seating!

We were greeted with a nice little happy hour where the Conch Fritters and Sangria were plentiful and tasty!  The only issue was the air conditioner could have been cooler. We did not tell the staff until morning and they were upset we didn’t call the night before.  It was fixed that day! We will definitely return on our next trip south!

Stayed 3 nights in room #1, best place we ever stayed in Key West.

Best breakfast of any hotel or bed and breakfast too.

Thank you

Bob and Marilyn.

We’ve been to Key West 10 times and have stayed at 10 different places, and have to say I think this would be my #1 pick to go back to. First, the location can’t be beat, literally just a couple minute walk to Duval or the historic seaport, we are used to walking much farther than that at other hotels. The property has a great hidden garden feel to it, is well maintained and has a lot of charm.

Great pool area, very relaxing to unwind at the end of the day. Our room was huge, clean and had a great shower. Bed was super comfortable. The daily happy hour was a great touch, and the staff was friendly and eager to help, even jumped in to carry my bag to our room for me without me even asking. The only thing I can even think of as a concern was that there were some mosquitos biting our legs under the table one morning when we were eating breakfast, but that’s tough to avoid in warm tropical weather. All around, a great place to stay!

Staff was pleasant and very accommodating. We’d driven slowly thru the keys and had a lot of luggage which wasn’t that well organized. Suggest planning for minimum luggage to bring to room since you have to lug it from the road and won’t have quick access to your car. The walk to the garage is several blocks but we didn’t use the car during our stay because the location was so convenient. Perhaps we missed it, but a luggage cart for toting bags would have been a nice addition.

Room was clean and charming with a surprisingly ultra-modern bathroom but a nice old-fashioned touch in the night light. Hubby and I would have preferred a king size bed to the queen.

Liming hour and breakfast offer an opportunity to relax and meet other guests to share ideas on interesting activities we hadn’t thought of. It was very pleasant sitting in the eating area around the pool. Wish we’d had a bit more leisure time to do that more during our short 2-night stay but we had places to go and things to see.

Would definitely return to the Cypress House Hotel.

Our stay at Cypress House was fantastic.  From the first encounter with the staff to final checkout, the service was professional, friendly and helpful.  We’ve been to Key West several times, but this was our first stay at Cypress House Hotel.  We loved the location and its proximity to Duval St. and one of our favorite restaurants Two Friends.   Being able to sit out by the pool and eat a little breakfast and drink coffee in the morning was lovely and relaxing.    We will stay here again. Thank you!

Fabulous is the word that I would use to describe our experience at the Cypress House Hotel!  From booking our stay to checking out, everything was perfect!!!

It started with booking our visit to Key West.  We had so wanted to stay at Cypress House.  My friend is a Stage 4 Cancer Survivor and had never been to Key West, so I wanted the stay to be very Special since he had been through a lot.  Julie (reservations) was able to not only accommodate us for our stay, but weren’t we surprised when we arrived and were upgraded to the most beautiful room complete with a private front porch!!!

Upon check-in, Melissa could not be more accommodating and friendly.  She made us feel so welcome, and personally escorted us to our room.  She helped us with tips for restaurants based on our taste—and all the recommendations were spot-on.  She explained breakfast/pool and ‘liming hour’, which we enjoyed immensely, and had an opportunity to meet some of the other guests.

Our room was beautiful!!!  The king bed was super comfortable, the living area had a refrigerator and microwave.  The bathroom had all the amenities we could possibly need. And housekeeping did a great job keeping it clean and well made up.

There was quite a spread for breakfast. Even hot biscuits with ham and egg, along with yogurts, homemade muffins, juice, etc.  Always something hot is included in this continental breakfast.  A great start to the day.

Liming hour included a special cocktail along with a snack of some sort, poolside.  And the area is covered, just in case it rains.  A nice opportunity to trade restaurant recommendations, etc. with other guests.

Location is perfect!!!  You can walk to everything, which was important to us.

Check-out was with Dennis.  He was so personable and friendly and made check-out so easy.  He stored our bags so we could enjoy some more time in Key West before heading back up to Miami.  Super great guy!!

Lastly, this vacation included three boutique hotels.  Two were in South Beach.  Cypress House outshined everyone!!!!  They far surpassed the other places we stayed on this trip.

Cypress House is a wonderful, fabulous place to stay, and we hope to stay there again in the future!!!!  We will have our wonderful memories in the meantime!!

We love Cypress House Hotel and their friendly, accommodating staff!!!  Thanks for a wonderful stay!!
