We recently enjoyed a beautiful 4 night stay in Room 1 of Cypress House and totally enjoyed it.  Our room was beautiful and the staff was lovely – helpful and welcoming.  What a great location also, so close to everything you could possibly want to do and yet such a retreat feel.  The only issue I had with our stay was that I made a point to book a room with a porch – I wanted somewhere right outside the room for coffee or reading or cocktails – and so many times I opened the door from our room to the porch to find people occupying our porch.  Since I felt uncomfortable asking them to go to one of the beautiful public areas of the hotel I often just stayed inside and waited until they left.  I think it should be pointed out to the guests when they check in that the porches are not technically public areas.

This was our second stay at the Cypress House in Key West. It has a perfect location just two blocks off of Duval street and most everything is within easy walking distance so there is no need to drive anywhere.

We had room number 1 for this stay and we were very happy with the layout and the fixtures. We enjoyed the front porch, it was a great place to relax with a glass of wine and watch the world go by.

The pool is a great place to relax and cool off on hot afternoons. I highly recommend this B&B to any couples looking for a great place to stay when visiting Key west.

Our stay at the Cypress house was wonderful.  The room was beautiful and clean.

Nice porch right off the room.  Enjoyed relaxing and having a cocktail right off our room.

I wish we could have stayed longer.  I would stay again without hesitation.

The morning breakfast was nice and had comfortable surroundings.

We are loyal Marriott travelers, so it was a leap of faith to bypass our usual home away from home and take a chance on any other option, let alone the unique experience Cypress House has to offer. We also usually temper our expectations when it comes to island accommodations – it is just a different experience than what you would get in a big city (hence the reason for skipping on the Key West “Marriott”).

However, our expectations were exceeded at the Cypress House! We stayed in Room 11 and it was decorated beautifully! The hard wood floors, the chic decor, the high ceilings with crown molding, the modern bathroom with the incredible open shower…perfect!

The front office staff was very welcoming, holding our bags until the room was ready (we arrived very early) and offering suggestions as to where we might grab some lunch. Alexander was particularly helpful and made us feel welcome.

The common area where the “liming” was held was very calm and relaxing and very nicely attended to, as well. The breakfast and the drinks and snacks during the liming were a nice touch. The kitchen is shared, but it is very nice.

Other than the wonderful accommodations at the Cypress House, you will be in the perfect location for all of your Key West must-see’s. It is walking distance from the cruise terminals and the Key West Express, walking distance to the lively Duval St. and Mallory Square. Yet, tucked away enough so that you can have your peace when you need it. A short bike ride takes you to Zachary Taylor Park (the beach), the Southernmost Point, The Little White House, the Hemingway Home and everything else that Key West has to offer!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House, thoroughly. No complaints. No regrets! We will be visiting again!

Thank you for a wonderful stay at Cypress House. I would have no hesitation recommending your hotel to others. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and welcoming. We booked 2 deluxe king rooms but on arrival were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to 2 porch rooms. The rooms were spacious, clean and very tastefully decorated. The only negative being other guests chose to use the porches belonging to our rooms for smoking. This has the potential to annoy guests paying full price for the porch rooms but luckily for us we didn’t. We would definitely return to Key West and stay in one of their other Historic Key West Inns again. The hotels wonderfully reflect the relaxed, friendly and stylish nature of the Key’s itself.

A very nice stay this past week.  I’ve been down about 6 times and stayed a variety of places, this was near the top.  Roomy clean and quiet room – the unexpected upgrade was a very nice touch!  Room staff was good and efficient.  two comments:  1. the pool area – you have limited space which probably makes this impossible put it sure would be nice to be able to lounge right at the pool.  I think it would encourage folks to hang out more.  The liming hour should really be longer than an hour – each evening we went we saw wasted food get scooped up right at the stroke of the liming ending and worst yet, guest showing up late or running to get a refill as it was swiped away.  What harm would it do when folks are paying top dollar for your inn to leave things out a bit longer or until the food/drinks are gone???

We just stayed 3 nights at Cypress House.  Although we have traveled several times to Key West, this was our first stay at Cypress House and it was by far our best experience.  Every member of the staff was extremely helpful and very professional.  We loved the king suite with the porch.  We will definitely be back.

The Cypress House is a beautiful and relaxing house with plenty of old world character but with modern amenities.  We loved our spacious room and bath- so much that it was difficult to get out in the morning!  It was a great respite for the afternoon heat, as well, plus the pool area is right nearby!

We just recently stayed at the Cypress House and could not have been any happier. What a great spot to be in. One block from everything we wanted. We walked every day, found some great shops and excellent  food. But more importantly, we found that the staff, to include Dennis, were just wonderful to deal with. He gave us recommendations for places to eat and things to see. We relaxed by the pool and just had the best time. Breakfast was nice and Liming Hour was a blast. We are going back in October just again to spend a few days.  Thanks again.
