We stayed at the Cypress House from Saturday Feb 28 to Mar 5.  It was a great vacation week.  We are from Naples and while I’ve traveled to Key West for many years on “man-cations” this was the first time for my girlfriend and I.  I try to stay in different hotels and B&Bs in Key West each time I go because each is so different and unique.

I must say, without a doubt, the Cypress House is BY FAR, one of the nicest B&Bs I’ve ever stayed at in Key West.  INCREDIBLY simple things that meant a TON to a seasoned KW vacationer and a newbie.  AWESOME breakfast and “liming hour”.  This is the 1st B&B that has a “real” breakfast.  Not plastic wrapped pastries, stale bagels, and watery coffee.  “Liming” hour is a concept we brought back to Naples and now incorporate into our day after work. The staff (especially when we checked in – Scott and Chris) were always VERY attentive and constantly asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. Room and housekeeping were attentive as needed.  We were in the main house (room #1).  The only 2 minor constructive feedback points I would have is that I was hoping the kitchen would be open (at least to the inside house guests 24×7) but it was locked on both sides at night. I get it – but it would have been nice to borrow the main fridge for large leftovers that didn’t fit in the room fridge.  Also, nice to have access to wine/champagne glasses.  Second – would have liked the main doors to the house to be locked at night – not just closed.  We felt very safe but it was also spring break week and there were more than a few “unruly youths” passing by the Inn that concerned my girlfriend a couple times.  Overall, outstanding.  I would like to visit 1 of their other historic key west inns hotels as well but could def see ourselves returning to the Cypress House.  Thanks for the great memories.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. The hotel manager, Danielle, was very helpful. She helped us with the luggage and gave us couple of restaurant names to try which turned out to be very good. The breakfast was very good and the room was quite large with adequate storage drawers and huge bath with standing shower. The location was excellent, walking distance to Duval street and Mallory Square. We parked the car at the municipal garage 4 blocks away and walked every where. Overall had a very enjoyable stay.

We moved from the B&B closer to Duval Street as we had friends staying an extra night that was decided on the last minute.  That place was full but Cypress House had availability. From the minute we walked in, we were welcomed and taken care of.  They helped take the suitcase up to the room but refused to take a tip.  Very nice room, great shower, excellent location. Slightly more expensive then the place down the street and didn’t have full breakfast, just nice continental. We had a room right on Caroline Street which at first was great, but we were woken up in the middle of the night with sirens heading towards spring breakers on Duval Street.  Ask for a room in the back. Easy check-in and check-out and we would stay here again. If you are looking for a very nice close location to Duval, go for it!

We stayed at The Cypress House during our little getaway after our wedding in Miami. Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed at check-in by the friendly gentleman at the front desk who helped us with our bags up the stairs. We were surprised to find a champagne bottle waiting for us in our room! It was a great start to our vacation. :)

Everything at The Cypress House was extremely clean, nicely kept & the service was like if you were staying at home.

The breakfast was so good, they even had NYC water bagels! Everything was delicious for breakfast and as well for the liming in the evening where they offered a different cocktail & hors d’oeuvre each day.

Highly recommend The Cypress House! Great location (1 block off of Duval & many other attractions), cozy, friendly & an attentive staff. What more do you need? Definitely staying here during our next visit!

This was my first time staying with Cypress House. I was a little overwhelmed at the price at first but quickly learned that the price was right in line (or even below) pricing in other Key West hotels this time of year. Check-in was made very easy by the “loading/unloading” parking space. A staff member even came out to help with my luggage. After check-in, I received a nice tour and was given opinions on where to go and what to see. The room was updated and very clean. I also was pleased to see that there was a gate that locked in addition to the locking room. Breakfast and social hours are nice touches and staff is continuously checking to see how you are doing. The hotel is also in the perfect location…walking distance to Duval, the marina and plenty of restaurants and shopping. I will definitely be back!

Cypress House was a wonderful place to stay.  Clean, good breakfasts, a happy hour and nice pool area.  Great staff – they recommended an enclosed parking garage for only $13/day.  When I asked for a good “Key Lime Pie” place, they suggested a great little restaurant called Pepe’s  just four blocks away…. yummy!!!  Another bonus is that it’s a short walk to Duval Street which is full of shops, art galleries, restaurants and bars.  But make sure to venture out further than Duval – there is so much to see.

This was my husband’s and I first time in Key West; it was too short! We had only a one night getaway at Cypress House. Customer service was superior by all the staff, even the pool cleaners were accommodating. They allowed us to use the hotel amenities even after checkout including luggage storage. The location was close to all the action of the island, with great privacy and quietness when needed. Liming hour was an opportunity to rest before the nightlife began. We will definitely be coming back next year, hopefully longer if  the grandparents can manage the kids. :)
