Key West is amazing but having that little slice of heaven to go back to during our two day visit was marvelous. We were warmly greeted on arrival and they graciously accommodated our requests. Obviously the location is perfect – walking distance to everything. The coffee and breakfast were delicious and we used the pool everyday. We had a larger room and it was really beautiful, spacious, and comfortable. Thanks again.

After a most dreadful winter in Massachusetts, we decided to head south for some fun, warmth and exercise. Not only did we have great weather and excellent proximity to Zachary Taylor’s State park where we ran and swam everyday (triathletes need to workout!!) but we also managed to stay in a romantic hotel called the Cypress House. A block from Duval street and just a short walk to the Conch Republic Seafood restaurant where we enjoyed live music and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were gracious and accommodating. We loved our garden room off of the secluded and beautiful lap pool. Breakfast was also included as was an evening happy hour- both of which we enjoyed. We are an active couple so our convertible car and bike ride adventures were paramount…that being said, the staff was always willing to give us advice on what to do and where to go based on our interests! We thoroughly enjoyed the Cypress House and would recommend it to couples who want a quiet and romantic getaway…with the option to live it up on Duval street in the evenings. Our last night we went to the opposite end of the street and had a fabulous evening on the oceanfront at “Louie’s”,  sipping wine and savoring the tasty tapas….btw we biked there on our rented beach cruisers which was part of the fun!

We absolutely loved the Cypress House!  Our check-in was smooth.  The front desk staff were very informational since it was our first time in Key West.  Very easy walking distance to the popular end of Duval Street.  The evening liming was nice.  The first evening we had sangrias and the second evening was margaritas.  The bed in our room was very comfortable with plenty of pillows.  The shower had good water pressure and heat.  The only small downfall we experienced was the street noise and the window air condition was loud and we ran it 100% of the time.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Cypress House for 4 nights in mid-April, and we have raved about our trip ever since!  Our room was larger than we expected and was perfectly clean and cool.  We enjoyed the relaxing time by the pool, and breakfast was delicious all 4 mornings.

Thank you for a beautiful vacation.  We can’t wait to come back, and we tell all of our friends and family that we have found our new favorite “escape” at Cypress House Key West!

I think as we know Key west and we are not experts by any means. The chance to stay in a historic place for my wife and I was more than exciting. Once we got to the Cypress House we were very pleased. The site was tucked away in a wonderful spot that had access to the best part of key west night life but also was a quiet retreat. The lazy afternoons around the pool on what felt like the traditional affair was most relaxing. Which was followed nicely with happy hour and local food and drink. Our room was very comfortable – nicely done, spacious and the bed, well let’s say we slept VERY well.  We can’t wait to return. We found our spot in the Keys.  We call it the Cypress House. See you soon.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon and were greeted by a very friendly and helpful staff. Our room and the entire grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed a drink out on our porch. The ‘liming’ was fun with Sangria and toasted spinach torts – very nice. On the way down to Mallory Square for sunset we stopped in the Key West Rum Distillery – super smooth rum. We brought our own Mutton snapper which we had prepared at the Conch Republic and after the Sangria and rum made our way back to our comfortable room for an early evening. The next morning we swam some laps and had a very nice breakfast – the coffee was fantastic. I would have given an excellent rating but, the traffic noise in our corner room was very loud and went on all night and my wife needed a disposable razor and when I inquired at the front desk was told to go to CVS nearby.  Still all in all a wonderful place to stay.

We stayed for three nights on April 15-18 in room 7 of the historic house. We enjoyed the uniqueness of the architecture of the house with its high ceilings, woodwork, and chandeliers. Even though it is only two blocks from Duval St, there were no issues with late night noise. The front desk and staff were very helpful and provided some excellent suggestions on where to park, eat, and lay on the beach. Scott even showed us the residential area where we could park on the street during our stay. The daily breakfast is fresh and tasty, and the afternoon liming with appetizers and drinks was something we enjoyed. There was plenty of food and drink available.  The outdoor patio and pool area was smartly furnished and filled with lush vegetation and palm trees that created a nice peaceful setting to relax. We will definitely recommend the Cypress House to our family and friends and have already been talking about another visit.

Cheers.

Stayed for 5 nights April 5-9. The Cypress House is a peaceful, beautiful, picturesque and historic place to stay. Located a blocks walk from Duval street where all sorts of shopping, restaurants and bars are located and a few blocks from plenty of fishing and water sports and tours. We were pleasantly surprised to find the continental breakfast included a warm entree or 2 as well as the usual continental breakfast foods. They also have happy hour drinks under the lounge area near the pool nightly which is a nice touch during your stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room #3 we stayed in was clean and comfortable and nice and quiet. The only suggestion we have is more spots to hang your clothes. Had great meals at the Conch Republic and Blue Heaven as well as awesome fish sandwichs at B.O.s (doesn’t look like much but the food says it all) down the street on Caroline street. This is a great place to stay in a wonderful city to visit. If you can’t have fun here you are just not a fun person. I would definitely stay here again.
