We come down to Key Largo a couple times a year and always try to head down to Key West for a night or two while in Florida. When my wife and I first started coming down a decade or so ago we stayed at all the big hotels up near Mallory Square and they where ok but we wanted a more Key West “feel” so moved on to the tallest hotel on Duval for a couple years. Then we decided to check out a couple of boutique hotels that were converted motels into nice properties near the intersection of Route 1 and Duval, but they where a little too far away from the section of the island we enjoy the most. Last year we found the Cypress House and spent 2 nights and this year we stayed 6 nights over the 3 trips we took down to the Keys. The staff that we have encountered are very friendly and helpful and you can not beat the rooms or the location. We found our home in Key West for as long as we will return. Thanks and see you over winter break next year!

Cypress House has it all- location, breakfasts, happy hour, great rooms, friendly service and ease of bike rentals. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else now that we have found Cypress House.

We returned for our second trip to Key West and HAD to stay at Cypress House. We have been many times and never quite found a place we liked until last year and Cypress House. The location, the rooms, the happy hour, the breakfasts, the ease to rent bikes all can not be beat. It is hard to even think of things to improve. Maybe more than two towels in a room? Of course I could have asked for more so that wasn’t really needing to be fixed. The specialty breakfast last Saturday of the pancakes was a great addition. Maybe a discount for staying multiple nights for returning guests? Lol. No really, this place is the best and we always recommend it to others traveling to Key West.

Had a terrific weekend at the Cypress House with a large, clean and comfortable suite. Great pool area, hearty breakfast with lots of options and a pretty good cup of coffee as well, and we enjoy our coffee. Staff were extremely polite and helpful making sure we had all we needed. Bags were brought to our room as we had arrived early and were minded for us as we waited for return on the Key West Express. A great choice and next time we will stay for sure or check out one of your other Historic Key West Inns properties.

The Cypress House has the best location, a nice “Happy Hour” and a very nice breakfast.  The only thing that I personally would like to see, would be more fresh native fruit. That is why I come to the Keys, for the fresh food!

We recently enjoyed a beautiful 4 night stay in Room 1 of Cypress House and totally enjoyed it.  Our room was beautiful and the staff was lovely – helpful and welcoming.  What a great location also, so close to everything you could possibly want to do and yet such a retreat feel.  The only issue I had with our stay was that I made a point to book a room with a porch – I wanted somewhere right outside the room for coffee or reading or cocktails – and so many times I opened the door from our room to the porch to find people occupying our porch.  Since I felt uncomfortable asking them to go to one of the beautiful public areas of the hotel I often just stayed inside and waited until they left.  I think it should be pointed out to the guests when they check in that the porches are not technically public areas.

This was our second stay at the Cypress House in Key West. It has a perfect location just two blocks off of Duval street and most everything is within easy walking distance so there is no need to drive anywhere.

We had room number 1 for this stay and we were very happy with the layout and the fixtures. We enjoyed the front porch, it was a great place to relax with a glass of wine and watch the world go by.

The pool is a great place to relax and cool off on hot afternoons. I highly recommend this B&B to any couples looking for a great place to stay when visiting Key west.

Our stay at the Cypress house was wonderful.  The room was beautiful and clean.

Nice porch right off the room.  Enjoyed relaxing and having a cocktail right off our room.

I wish we could have stayed longer.  I would stay again without hesitation.

The morning breakfast was nice and had comfortable surroundings.

We are loyal Marriott travelers, so it was a leap of faith to bypass our usual home away from home and take a chance on any other option, let alone the unique experience Cypress House has to offer. We also usually temper our expectations when it comes to island accommodations – it is just a different experience than what you would get in a big city (hence the reason for skipping on the Key West “Marriott”).

However, our expectations were exceeded at the Cypress House! We stayed in Room 11 and it was decorated beautifully! The hard wood floors, the chic decor, the high ceilings with crown molding, the modern bathroom with the incredible open shower…perfect!

The front office staff was very welcoming, holding our bags until the room was ready (we arrived very early) and offering suggestions as to where we might grab some lunch. Alexander was particularly helpful and made us feel welcome.

The common area where the “liming” was held was very calm and relaxing and very nicely attended to, as well. The breakfast and the drinks and snacks during the liming were a nice touch. The kitchen is shared, but it is very nice.

Other than the wonderful accommodations at the Cypress House, you will be in the perfect location for all of your Key West must-see’s. It is walking distance from the cruise terminals and the Key West Express, walking distance to the lively Duval St. and Mallory Square. Yet, tucked away enough so that you can have your peace when you need it. A short bike ride takes you to Zachary Taylor Park (the beach), the Southernmost Point, The Little White House, the Hemingway Home and everything else that Key West has to offer!

We enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House, thoroughly. No complaints. No regrets! We will be visiting again!
