We stayed at the Cypress House a couple of weeks ago. It was our anniversary and I wanted to stay at the same place when we first went to Key West. I wanted to stay in the same exact room when we first met but it was a little more then I could spend but was still satisfied with the Cypress House. When we arrived, to my surprise, they up graded us to the exact room, it was the Porch room, and had a champagne bottle waiting in the fridge for us.

I can’t say enough about the staff and our lovely room. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I loved the happy hour every day in the evening around the beautiful quaint pool. Breakfast was served every morning and had something different each day. I would highly recommend the Cypress House. It’s a little expensive but it’s well worth the extra money spent. I will never forget this place.

From check-in to check-out, our stay at Cypress House was memorable.  Loved the morning breakfasts, location of Cyrpess House, location of our room which had direct access to an outside porch–which we used often, the liming hour, and relaxing pool.  We have always enjoyed Pepe’s Restaurant and it’s located just down the street!  But, we also enjoyed a very good meal at Flanigan’s –also just down the street.  Our room at the Cypress House was very clean and we felt very safe and secure in our surroundings.  All the personnel were warm, friendly and very accommodating.

King Bed comfortable, good wifi, clean room. Breakfast menu changed each day with hot food and breads, etc. Afternoon “liming” with an appetizer and drink. Heated private pool. 1-2 blocks from wharf docks, Duval Street, restaurants, and shopping. Management very attentive. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed it.

Our stay at the Cypress House was very enjoyable.  The room was clean and comfortable.   The location of the property is excellent.   The staff was very friendly and helpful.  One suggestion is to provide coffee for the guests before 7:00 a.m. as currently provided.  A time of 6:00 a.m. would be good for “early risers” like us, or small coffee makers could be provided in the rooms on a case by case basis.  We will definitely stay at your hotel again.

My wife and I stayed at the Cypress House on January 28th and 29th. This was our first foray to Key West. Though the house was historic, our room was very nice and large. The bed was awesome. My wife said it was the best night’s sleep she has had for a long time. We very much enjoyed our time around the pool both during the evening happy hour and breakfast time. The breakfast was very nice. The employees were very helpful and accommodating. We would definitely stay there again, when we come back to Key West!

We had a wonderful stay for our 30th anniversary. The room was very comfortable, spacious and tastefully decorated. The front desk staff was extraordinary. We arrived after dark on Saturday evening and the host (I wish I could remember his name!) was so friendly and helpful. He got us checked in promptly and then helped us with our bags to our upstairs room. Another front desk host gave us recommendations for special restaurants to celebrate our anniversary and offered to make reservations for us.

We have been to Key West several times and stayed at the Cypress House when it was privately owned. We were a little bit concerned that it may have lost its personal touch, but we needn’t have worried. They kept all of the things we liked about Cypress House from before – morning breakfast, happy hour, etc., but things run a lot more efficiently now. All good things. The main difference is that the dog that used to live there is now a cat!

If I had to give one instance where I think there could be improvement, it is with the housekeeping staff. Everything was kept very clean and sparkling everyday. The only issue was that the coffee packs were often not replenished. One day we asked the front desk person for some packs, and he immediately went with us to the supply closet and got us what we needed. Again the next day the housekeeper forgot to leave more coffee. I caught up with her the next day and asked her to leave us some packs and she did. It’s not a major problem because coffee was available around the pool, but we would have liked to have it available in our room for early in the morning. Again, not a big deal, but I just thought I should mention it.

We love Key West and hope to return very soon. We ate at so many great restaurants that it’s hard to single out any one of them for special praise. We loved happy hour at Alonzo’s, and had a wonderful dinner at Louie’s Backyard. And I think we sampled every Key lime pie in town.

I have my fingers crossed that we win the 3 night stay. We would make it into another week-long vacation in paradise. Keep up the great work.

Had a chance to stay at the Cypress House on my recent stay in Key West. Wow, what an amazing Hotel. From the staff that checked us in to the cleaning staff each morning. Very professional and friendly. The rooms were very clean and well furnished and you can’t beat the location for enjoying Key West. Five Stars! Bravo to the staff! You made our trip!

First time at Cypress House and can’t imagine it will be our last. Great location. Just close enough to Duval Street but far enough away to not have a lot of noise to bother you. Rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. They have a medium pool but honestly, who has the time to be in the pool? Good to know they have one just in case. Can’t wait to come back. Thanks CH!
