Perfect location. Had the two room suite. It was perfect for two adults – loved the bedroom convenience for privacy. Good breakfast, very nice staff. Close to Duval and many other enjoyable restaurants and bars. We will stay there again!

We loved our stay at Cypress House!  The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, bathroom was huge, and everything was clean.  Breakfast was delicious and I loved that it was always a hot meal that was clearly made in the kitchen.

The only thing I didn’t absolutely love is the window unit in the room.  I had a cold on this trip and the non-stop forced cold air didn’t help matters.  However, this was a unique situation so didn’t really affect my view of the property.  I totally understand keeping the historic structure in place and adding central air is a huge undertaking.

Loved it, and we will absolutely be back.  Probably for our anniversary next year :-)

We stayed at Cypress House over Labor Day weekend in a historic king with private porch accommodation. The room was the entire front half of the first floor of a historical home and the porch ran all the way across and had wicker furniture. It was behind a white fence with beautiful shrubbery and a brick walkway that complimented the historical setting. The room was very spacious with a small wet bar (refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker) and a full size bathroom. There was also a small table for two to eat on if you wanted but we found the porch table too tempting to stay inside. The room is clean, clean, clean and the bed (king w/ 6 excellent pillows) feels and smells wonderful. They have a lap pool that is very clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was a good start, not a bed and breakfast quality but certainly better that the usual continental. Afternoon free cocktails and appetizers were a great addition. Location is perfect for coming by ferry and Duval Street is only one block away allowing easy access to everything while having a quiet escape to come back to.

Hello! I would just like to thank you very much for having us. My husband and I switched from another inn to your inn on the second night of our stay, and it exceeded our expectations! We appreciated the hospitality with the happy hour and breakfast, along with the tranquil atmosphere. We were greeted warmly by one of your managers on staff, and then were given the royal treatment from Chris the following day as he gave us a half hour detailed navigation route as we worked our way back up the Keys. Extremely helpful and informative.

Thank you for making our anniversary one to remember and cherish.

I had never stayed at a bed & breakfast before so I did not know what to expect, but I was WOWED!  Our queen room was updated, very clean, and spacious.  The office staff was so helpful.  The evening gentleman was so kind while helping me check in.  The next day the morning gentleman was able to tell us all about the island and where we should go and see things.  His recommendations turned out to be wonderful!  We loved the location of the hotel, right off Duval Street, closest to Fat Tuesdays.  It was close enough to walk everywhere but very quiet from the noise of Duval.  We will be back for sure!  Thank you for a fabulous weekend :)

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House.  It was quaint, clean, and the staff was very friendly.  Scott and Dennis took care of us like family the whole time. They were great to deal with. The room was clean, updated, and the AC worked perfectly.   We enjoyed the “Limings” in the evening, and the breakfasts were good as well.  We could not have asked for a better stay. The Hotel was located just 2 blocks from Duval Street, yet it was very quiet.  We found a wonderful coffee house just 3 blocks away called Coffee Plantation.  We enjoyed the earlier open time there, and we had our coffee/smoothie before the hotel breakfast was served.  We got to speak to several guests in the pool area, and all were great.

The pool area was wonderful, although the pool was a bit warm for the weather. We would have preferred it to be more refreshing as hot as it was. Otherwise, no complaints whatsoever, and we would definitely stay again should we find ourselves heading to Key West again.

Here’s exactly what I wrote on Trip Advisor:

My husband and I needed an adult only weekend & this place delivered! Julie greeted us at check-in and was so sweet & helpful. Dennis was there for most of our 3 night stay and he was absolutely wonderful!Breakfast each morning had everything one could wish for from hot coffee & tea, to croissants, muffins, & bagels to fresh fruit & yogurt and a daily “hot” breakfast choice. LOVE the bacon, potato & cheese egg scramble ;) Yummy & satisfying!

Each night at 5pm is “liming” or Happy Hour to the non-islander, lol. Great cocktails and a hot appetizer. Wonderful music & mingling with the other guests gets you in the Key West state of mind!

Our room was gorgeous (king deluxe with porch #18). The original house with original wood floors accented with modern amenities and furnishings. The bath was fully renovated, white marble and modern lighting, simply gorgeous.

As to the reviewer who called the Cypress House “dated”, with all due respect, it’s a circa 1888 house, so it’s literally dated! LOL ;)

Can’t wait to return, counting the days!

For my birthday, we had a group of 18 in our party. We searched high and low for a comfortable, clean, enjoyable place with the perfect location to all of the fun in Key West.  When we chose Cypress House, we found that place.  Breakfast, served at the pool each morning, was delicious and just enough to start the day. Happy hour with a different drink each evening was a nice surprise and a great way to begin the evening.  Each room was slightly different but clean, spacious and cozy.  Some of the showers are like a small room themselves!  If you have the pleasure to deal with Scott, he is the go-to guy at Cypress House. What a delight!  We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Cypress House to anyone.  Thank you!

We decided to head south to the Keys from Georgia without making any reservations in advance.  One of our nights was spent at Cypress House. Our stay there was wonderful! The well built, older house had been restored with much care.  Our first floor room was large, spotless and decorated simply with attention to detail. Our delicious breakfast and coffee was prepared in a large kitchen area and we enjoyed dining with other guests outside by a lovely, small pool. The grounds around the inn were plush and tropical. And, Cypress House was a short walk away from the harbor area and Duval street. Once we parked a few blocks down the street, we never needed to get in the car again until we checked out the next day. Parking was really the only issue, but that is to be expected in this concentrated area of Key West.
