The location was exceptional. I enjoyed my room which was fresh and contemporary.  Not being familiar with Key West, I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to take short walks to all of the sights I came to see. The fresh breakfast and lite happy hour were just right as I came and went on my activities.

I see myself coming back.

We had a great stay at the Cypress House hotel.  Kelley, who checked us in was a wealth of knowledge and had many great recommendations from the best beach given the time of year, to great restaurants, and when to see the sites to avoid crowds.  He even reserved us bikes and had them dropped off at the hotel for us. The room was nice and cool and decorated perfectly.  Updated perfectly yet felt like it fit the era that the house was built. Nice clean pool with a relaxing happy hour and a breakfast spread that was worth waking up for :).  Would stay at Cypress House again for sure!

Thanks for a fun and relaxing stay.

Although I am a Florida native, this was my first visit to Key West. After searching online through all the lodging options available to us, my wife & I chose the Cypress House. And we are glad we did! We found the location to be ideal. Close to Duval Street, but far enough away to provide a welcome break from the action in the form of our own “private” getaway.

The staff was exceptional. Knowledgable, friendly and quick to meet any need we had. Recommendations on local bike rentals, restaurants and local places of interest were spot on. They made us feel comfortable and welcomed during our 5 day visit.

Our room was large, well appointed and gratefully unique with the character of a nicely restored older dwelling that we had hoped to find. Breakfasts were good, the Liming at happy hour fun, and our fellow guests interesting and friendly.

We would recommend the Cypress House to family and friends in a Key West minute….actually much faster!

Thanks, guys, for a terrific stay!

We loved our stay at the Cypress House and would totally stay there again.

After landing in Key West at 8:00, we were greeted with a call around 8:30 pm from Sean at the front desk confirming our arriving time. He met us at the door about 15 minutes later and helped us with parking. He then took us to the room, which had been upgraded despite it being our first-ever stay at the Cypress House.  The room was a king bed with a gorgeous bathroom on the second floor, and he even carried our rather heavy bags up the stairwell.

Our room was phenomenal! The bed was very comfortable, there were lots of pillows, the AC was already on when we arrived (and the room was cool!), and the bathroom was gorgeous. The shower was my favorite part – wonderful water pressure, great size shower head, and beautifully designed!

We loved the convenient location of the Cypress House. Only one block from Duval Street for entertainment, and one block from the harbor. We had a morning dive charter booked on checkout day, and they graciously stored our bags while we dove!  Everybody we encountered was wonderfully helpful, even letting us use the fresh-water shower and a first-floor bathroom after our dives to freshen up.

The only thing we could think of that would have made our stay better was in regards to breakfast. My husband is gluten-free by requirements, and it would have been nice to have plain eggs or something else a little more substantial than yogurt before the dive. The yogurt was good, and the breakfast spread was nice if one is not required to eat gluten-free.

Despite this minor annoyance, the Cypress House was a lovely stay, and we are looking forward to our next stay there! We have also recommended them to all our friends interested in Key West for vacation.

For the sixth or seventh time in a row, our “group” stayed at the Cypress House during our annual Key West Labor Day weekend.

And as always, from the remodeled rooms to the pool to the staff (thanks Dennis), the stay was excellent. Of course, you can’t beat their location one block away from Duval! Still miss the old happy hour (more food and drink than current regime) though. But for the money, location and amenities, you can’t beat Cypress House.

We’ll be back next year and with more friends!

My husband and spent one night at Cypress House but wish we had stayed more!

Everything about Cypress House was perfect.  The staff just to mention two were Dennis and Chris who were both friendly and more than accommodating and knowledgable of the area. The room was beautiful and very comfortable.  Breakfast and Liming time was excellent.  Enjoyed the pool and oasis created around it.

Would love to return anod will also recommend to friends.

Thanks for the warm hospitality!!

I’m a Fort Lauderdale resident and have traveled many times to Key West usually staying in the big chain hotels.  We decided to do something different this time and stumbled upon Cypress House with a simple google search.  Called the reservations hotline and spoke to an agent named Raphael who was extremely helpful & all of his descriptions were very accurate. We arrived on friday afternoon and were greeted by a friendly employee who quickly did the paperwork and made us a fresh drink as it as Cypress House offers a “Liming Hour” from 4:30-5:30 everyday where complimentary drinks & Key West Conch inspired appetizers were served.  From there they personally gave us a tour of the beautiful ground & walked us to our room.

Our room had a great porch to sit and drink coffee on facing the street, but covered by much landscaping so it felt very private.  The room was completely redone inside with Key-West inspired theme & colors.  Very large room with a King bed that was very comfortable with large bathroom and hardwood floors. Cypress House itself is in a perfect location being 1-block from Duval on the North end near the port, pier, and shops/restaurants.  The pool had a great covered area with tables and the pool was surrounded by cabana beds with great exposure to the sun all decorated with beautiful landscaping and palm trees.  Overall we really enjoyed the boutique feel to the Cypress House and as mentioned the location is excellent. We highly recommend staying here and appreciated every aspect of our stay and enjoyed both nights we stayed.  It was a very busy holiday weekend and we were treated extremely well.  Hope to visit again very soon!

My husband and I stayed in Key West for the first time in August, 2014.  We knew it would be hot but we wanted to get away and the Cypress House was just what we needed.  Check-in was simple and quick and Kelly was extremely helpful.  He showed us around the facility and told us some great places to make sure and visit.  Our room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast by the pool was great every morning.  We will definitely visit again!

We stayed 5 nights at the Cypress House.  From the moment we checked in, we felt welcomed and at home.  The room was exceptionally clean!  The bedding was comfy.  Our front porch was a great place to chill and people watch. The pool was long enough to do a few laps! It was nice to eat breakfast by the pool.  Liming hour was a fun time to socialize with other guests.  Scott was so friendly and helpful, and he gave great recommendations for places to eat and visit.  The location was perfect. We did wish that smoking was not permitted by the pool.  A few times we left sooner than we wanted because someone lit up beside us. Our favorite Key Lime Pie was Matthesons.   Sloppy Joe’s was nonsmoking :).  Duettos pizza and gelato was yummy. Namaste sailing and snorkeling charter was a blast.  Pro fishing guide, Captain Kyle, made our day fishing a success!  So many things to do, but Cypress House was a great place to unwind and do nothing!
