We are elderly senior citizens, Canadians.
We have travelled quite extensively. However, we have never stayed anywhere that we liked any better than Cypress House – perhaps different and with views – but this stay in Key West was so relaxing.
We stayed for four nights – room #5 with a wonderful porch and two easy chairs. Our room was so comfortable and kept clean by your great cleaning staff. Breakfast by the pool was delicious and we truly enjoyed your resident cat. Happy hour was even better, great appetizers and wonderful alcohol combinations.
Staff was fabulous, can’t say enough good things about them, but must single out Chris.

We hated to leave and I think that is the best compliment one can give. If I had to choose one word to describe our stay, I would say warm!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Key West last week.

Cypress House was recommended to us by J World sailing school because of the location.  From the short walk from the Ferry Dock down a tree lined street, to the speedy check in, beautiful room that opened to a porch, breakfast, and ‘liming’ this place is perfect.

The staff were all excellent and helpful.  Scott gave us some great restaurant recommendations (Blue Heaven, Conch Republic and the best place to get Key Lime Pie), and got us a cab quickly when needed.  He seemed to have the right connections.  Enjoyed visiting with the resident cat at the pool. Small touches we appreciated were the always available orange water by the pool and the large soap and shampoo bottles in the shower (no waste).

Would definitely recommend Cypress House to anyone visiting Key West.

We are Canadian senior citizens who have travelled extensively. When we came to Key West and stayed at Cypress House, we couldn’t believe how perfect it was. The checkin and checkout was easy because of your staff.

We had room 5 with a wonderful porch and wonderful large chairs to sit on – which we did so often. The room was large and ever so comfortable, including the bed. The housekeeping staff was great. The breakfast around the pool was delicious and the happy hour, again around the pool, was even better, if that is possible. All the staff were wonderful, particulary Chris. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful that Cypress House remains in our heart and memory.

We hope that Cypress House continues to be successful and to welcome guests with such kindness for many years to come.

Thank you f0r everything

Pat and Norm Manahan

If I had to summarize, I would say that we felt safe and, above all, warm.

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at Cypress House Hotel over Valentine’s Weekend 2015. We were greeted with smiles at the front desk at check-in, and received a full explanation of how the place operates, including times for the complementary happy hour, breakfast, towels, etc.  We felt welcomed and very much at home instantly.

Next we were led to Room 13, which was a great little room with an amazing private courtyard. We loved having the door open to the outside and drinking coffee in the morning sun. Apparently, the weekend was one of the coldest in Key West, but it felt great out there, even in the shade.  The bed was comfortable, the room was cozy, our chandelier had a dimmer control to set the mood. The bathroom was clean, the shower had cool marble tiles, the towels were nice.

The location of the hotel is perfect. Off of Duval street enough to feel like you’ve escaped, yet close enough to get there quickly. We walked 90% of the time from the hotel to every coffee shop, restaurant, bar, and beach that we wanted to check out. We loved how close we were to everything.

One example of the service we experienced-  We had just returned from the beach and felt like jumping in the pool for a little more swimming time. We were probably late to happy hour by 45 minutes so didn’t expect to have any drinks waiting for us.  But one of the hotel employees saw us and another couple playing in the pool and brought us a tray with a jar of screwdriver mix, plastic cups, a bucket of ice, and with a smile said, “enjoy!” Amazing.

We spent a lot of time looking at different places to stay on the island and we’re happy we found and ended up at Cypress House.

We had a great time in Key West. I wish we stayed longer than 2 days.

The staff at the Cypress House was wonderful – extremely helpful, knowledgeable & happy! Our rooms were great. Clean & spacious. The breakfast was hot, fresh & good! The only complaint that we have was that the a/c in 1 of our rooms was loud. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to spend the night or longer in KW!

Also – 2 blocks off of Duval St. – the location ROCKS!

I found this hotel when we decided at the last minute to take the Key West Express from Ft. Myers.  We decided to stay one night to give us more time on the island and were delighted with the accommodations. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were allowed to leave our one small suitcase in the hotel for the 5 hour stretch between check-out and catching the boat back.  The hotel is walking distance to most tourist attractions (a short block to Duval Street) if you like to walk like we do.  The room was perfect with a large, luxurious bathroom.  Great breakfast by the pool is included.

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic 5 night stay at the Cypress House. We read numerous reviews before booking the Cypress House and were not disappointed. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts served by the pool in a private setting were a perfect way to start our day in Key West. The staff was courteous, friendly and responsive to our needs. The red rose placed on our bed on Valentine’s Day was a very nice touch!

The location to the waterfront and Duval Street was the clincher for us. We only had to walk two blocks to enjoy the nightlife that Duval Street offers. This was my 6th trip to Key West and my first time staying at the Cypress House. It will definitely not be our last. We plan to return to the Cypress House for future vacations.

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for 2 nights. Room was very clean and spacious just like the bathroom. Breakfast was good. Generally I find something to complain about hotels but I just felt like home. Strongly recommended for key west visits.

The Cypress House was conveniently located to the central Key West shops and bars.  Upon our arrival, the staff was pleasant and accommodating.  The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were clean, and we had a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room.  I completely forgot that I must have told someone it was our 20th wedding anniversary when I booked the room.  The attention to detail was much appreciated!
