Trite as though that review title sounds, the description fits Cypress House. From Chris (my crossword pal and past fellow Ohioan) to the housekeeping staff, everyone made us feel welcome, always had good suggestions for us, and in general made it a pleasure to return to Cypress House. The inn is really the heart of it all when we visit Key West: close to Smokin’ Tuna, Schooner’s Wharf, Conch Republic, Duval Street, and any other attraction that I may choose to visit. The liming (sp??) hour is a great way to relax, recharge, and visit with other guests and compare new restaurants, places to visit, etc. We have a favorite room on the first floor front with porch, very spacious, and a little sunburst mirror that I CRAVE. I have invited friends that are down the same time as we are to visit us and strongly encourage them to check out the Inn. This is the 3rd of the Historic Key West Inns hotels that we have stayed in (Chelsea House, Lighthouse Court). This is the favorite hands down and we look forward to returning next year.

First of all everything was wonderful as far as service and the room was always taken care of in an excellent manner.

We did have an incident during check in that tangled up our time a little, but once the Manager was involved the situation was resolved in a timely manner.

I am looking forward to coming back next year and would recommend Cypress House to anyone looking for an excellent Stay in Key West.

My husband and I will definitely return to Cypress House for our future visits to Key West.  The location was PERFECT for those wanting to be close to Duval, great bars and restaurants.  The room was a great size, clean and the bed was comfortable. All of the staff was professional, courteous and friendly.  Parking was convenient (nearby parking garage) and not high priced.

Wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Over the top impressed. Room 11 had so much character. Tall ceilings, awesome shower, super clean and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. Chris checked us in and out and he was super. Breakfast and Liming was delicious and a pleasant surprise. I would recommend this place to everyone and will be back next time in town. Thank you for making it a wonderful vacation.

Love Cypress House!! Best location, only a very quick walk to the middle of Duval St., where the action is in full swing all day all night during fantasy fest.

Our room, #15,  on the second floor, was perfect. Comfortable bed, very very clean, huge nice bathroom. The housekeeping lady was excellent and always smiling. Enjoyed hanging out on the porch to people watch. Want to acknowledge Scott, Kelly & Dennis at the front desk. Very helpful and nice, from my phone calls days before our trip to  checking us in. Wonderful staff.

Will for sure stay at Cypress House again.

A short walk to everything in the heart of old town, the Cypress House didn’t disappoint.  We’re veterans of KW, and have stayed in two other Historic Key West Inns properties (as well as 4-5 other properties).  Cypress was the most modern of the bunch.  The rooms are spacious by comparison to anything we’ve experienced in the Keys, it’s surprisingly quiet for it’s location near everything, and the staff is very cheery and helpful – particularly when it rained for 5 solid days!  Everyone on the street admired our lovely ponchos!  IF I had one gripe … OK, two … the bed was a little soft in the middle, more than I’m used to.  And, … I don’t eat seafood, so could not partake of most happy hour treats!  Though those who did said they were tasty.  We’re definitely planning to re-book here when headed that way again.

We came to Key West with a group of 15 and had a blast – while you can’t stay together the whole time, the liming and breakfasts out by the pool were the perfect gatherings to catch up with everyone.  Your staff was friendly and our rooms were lovely.  The location was perfect – close enough to the action, yet far enough away to enjoy some quiet time when needed.  Thanks!

Staff was accommodating and helpful. One suggestion would be to put a shade on the outside light motion detector for room 14.  The trees make the light go on and off dozens of time at night.  Other than that I have no other suggestions.  Overall, everything was great and we look forward to returning again.

We stayed during Fantasy Fest and the place was wonderful. Each and everyone of the staff went out of their way to be helpful even calling me to make sure I had met up with my friends that had my keys due to our late arrival.

We stayed for 4 nights at the Cypress House. We really enjoyed this property. The hotel is in a great location to keep it quiet but close to the action.

Our room was nice, clean and comfortable. As are most rooms in Key West, it is not huge (no closet), but we were not cramped. The bathroom was a nice size too with a great walk in shower! Looked pretty and modern!

All the staff was super nice and helpful. Check in was quick and easy as was check out. The pool was a little too cold for us during our stay in October. Would be nice if it was heated earlier.

They have a nice little “liming” hour during the evening with snacks near the pool. Very nice and peaceful.

We are looking forward to staying here again.
