We stayed in the corner room with a king bed. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and you could fit an army in the shower.

We booked our room with Scott who was also working when we arrived. He was extremely friendly and very helpful.
The pool was nice with a relaxing setting. There is a covered front porch with a swing and there are tables and chairs outside of the rooms on the second story porch as well. There was a daily complimentary egg breakfast and margaritas for happy hour. Parking is also pretty simple. You can look for nearby street parking, or park in the garage with a Cypress House pass displayed. This gets you a better price; about 10 bucks a day. You are two blocks from Duval St. which makes getting to restaurants, shops, museums, tours, and more (bars) very convenient. In the other direction is quick walk to the docks where you can explore several other shops, restaurants, boat charters, exhibits, live music, the Mel Fisher treasure display/shop. You can also see huge tarpon swimming and feed them here.

The Cypress House was an excellent choice for my girlfriend and I. We would highly recommend it. Thanks to everyone at the Cypress House, and a special thanks to Scott!

This bed and breakfast was a home run for us and the group with whom we were traveling. We had a king size room, which was very spacious. I was a little concerned about the location, since we were across from the kitchen, but we did not hear any noise. Our room was at the front of the building, so we did experience noise from traffic throughout the night, which is not the fault of the B&B. The Cypress House is within walking distance to Duval Street, only two blocks, which is very convenient for shopping and dining. The rooms were cleaned promptly, everyday, and the breakfast was great. They had one hot option everyday, along with yogurt, fruit, cereal, muffins, etc. They also have happy hour from 6 – 7 pm and they have a drink of the day, along with vegetables, dip, chesse, crackers, and a hot item. We were there most nights for this, and it was fantastic. The staff were so accommodating. Every need we had, they fulfilled. When we needed extra towels, we had them immediately. They booked a jet ski excursion, and provided the towels for that. Our air conditioner stopped, in the middle of the night, and first thing in the morning, they were there to replace it. I cannot say enough about Eli, he was great to us, the entire time we were there, along with all the others, I cannot remember all their names. The B&B also has a pool, which we used numerous times. It was very humid the week we stayed in Key West, and this was great for cooling off at the end of the day. Based on the location, rooms, and service, I feel you get a lot for the price. If we return, I would definitely stay here again, and will certainly recommend it to others planning a trip to Key West.

We absolutely loved this place! My husband and I stayed at the Cypress House for our honeymoon and were beyond please with our stay. Our room was gorgeous (the balcony right off of our room had great views, tall ceilings, modern bathroom, and there was even a beautiful mural on the ceiling which was a nice sight to wake up to each morning). Aside from the room, the hotel offered a lot of other worthwhile things: great staff, hot breakfast, a nice pool, and daily happy hour. The staff members made sure we had everything we needed and any requests we had were fulfilled within minutes (Eli was especially wonderful). They even suggested boat cruises and other activities we were interested in. The pool was refreshing and located next to the tables for both breakfast/happy hour. The breakfast offered each morning was delicious and full of variety (with at least one different hot item daily)…I especially enjoyed the breakfast burritos. The happy hour also changed daily and included small appetizers. For example, during our stay we had a margarita night, wine night, sangria night (all you can drink within the hour) and appetizers such as grilled brie sprinkled with almonds, crab dip, multiple cheeses, veggies, and fried conch fritters, etc. Gathering for both breakfast and happy hour was also a nice way to meet other hotel guests without the feeling of being obligated to do so. The location is also something worth mentioning. Cypress House is located two blocks from the main strip on Duval Street so it was close enough to walk in less than 5 minutes but far enough that our balcony was quiet and peaceful. We are already planning a trip back in February 2013. If you visit Key West, stay here. We will gladly be back!

I’ve been to Key West many times and stayed at several different places, but Cypress House is by far my favorite place. Next time I’m down I’ll be staying here again and I hope other travelers give this fantastic historic inn the opportunity to wow them as well.

The rooms are perfect – modern decor in a historic venue, amazing location close to everything in the downtown area and the most pleasant and courteous  staff I’ve ever encountered! Eli was so great, I feel I need to mention him by name. But all the staff were wonderful.

Thanks for the best weekend getaway I’ve had down in Key West, I’ll be back!

This is a charming place to stay . I didn’t want to go home when it was time to leave. Rooms are comfortable and modern but still had a historical home feel. Three minute walk from Duval street! Hospitality appetizers and drinks every night at 6pm were wonderful. Free breakfast every morning was delicious and had a great spread! I recommend the croissants! Beautiful pool and patio area with nice foliage! We had a service dog and they were more than happy to accommodate us. We will absolutely be staying here again next year for our wedding. I am looking forward to it already!

I cannot say enough about this place and staff. The rooms are very clean and all are a bit different, unlike what you find in chain hotels. They are only 2 blocks from Duval Street so it is close, but away from the noise if you are looking for a good nights sleep. The staff cannot do enough for you. Eli took care of most of our breakfasts (which are included) and Happy Hour at 6 pm every evening. I mentioned to Eli that I was allergic to pineapple and was wondering what was in the sangria he made one evening. Eli remembered my allergy and made the drink on our last evening leaving out the pineapple! This service was above and beyond. I wish I could remember everyone’s name to give them all a shout out as they all deserve it. They booked our jet ski tour and they had a bicycle delivered for friends we were traveling with; as I said, a gem in paradise! We will be staying there again.

Our first stay in Key West and I am happy to recommend the Cypress House as a perfect place to stay while here.  The rooms are clean, staff is friendly (especially Dennis), and the location is great.  It is close enough to walk to all attractions, yet quiet to relax on the front porch.  We will stay here on return trip to Key West!

Wonderful staff, beautiful room with balcony and upscale finishes, attention to detail was terrific, it felt like we were visiting with old friends and it was our first time! We had a great time on the sunset sail & snorkel package we booked through them too.

Our favorite restaurant is Seven Fish on Duval and we had drinks at Louie’s Backyard to watch the sun going down.

My wife and I had a last minute urge to head down to Key West near Old Town needing to decompress. We chose Cypress House for its location and the friendly assistance provided by the person who took our phone call. They exceeded all of our expectations and Eli was awesome! We will definitely be back! Thank you!!
