I stayed with my friend for only one night and we were wishing it could have been longer. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was very very welcoming and we felt super comfortable. The room was very clean and everything was great.

The only criticism I have would be the variety of choice at breakfast. It would be nice to have some cheese and ham to go with the bagels but this was really the only thing that I would say was not 100% up to expectations.

Thanks a lot to the Cypress House team!

My husband and I had a great stay at the Cypress House.  It felt like we were staying with a family in Key West.   The team was very informative about the attractions in Key West.  Our room was very clean and perfect with a small kitchen and our own porch outside our door.  It is centrally located where we could walk every where we wanted to go.  It is a private and small, adults only hotel, that gives a tropical feel! The continental breakfast and cocktail hour by the pool was delicious and plentiful. We would stay there again, when we visit Key West again.

Enjoyed! Christopher and Scott were very helpful and friendly. We also liked having a happy hour. We ate at Blue Heaven and Latitudes in Sunset Island. Both excellent. We did wish that we had a second box of Kleenex in the room. It was well equipped and beautiful otherwise.

We spent a wonderful couple of days at the Cypress House Hotel in Key West as part of our Florida road trip and were so glad that we had made the journey.  From the welcome from Melissa through the upgrade to a beautiful room to the drinks by the pool in the evening, everything was perfect. The staff were quiet but attentive, the pool and surroundings were beautiful and while the breakfast was just ok, the standard of everything else well made up for it. We were slightly confused with the parking – our acknowledgement email for the booking did not mention the discount permit from front desk, so as advised by that acknowledgement email, we parked elsewhere, walked to the hotel and were then told about the permit, by which time we had already paid for two days in a lot a block away.  No big loss (we paid $40 for three days in the lot) but a slight annoyance all the same. The upgrade to Room 12 was a lovely surprise and most welcome and the standard of cleanliness was excellent. We would certainly recommend this hotel to any visiting friends and Key West is itself great fun to explore.

We stayed at Cypress House March 24-27, 2015.  First time staying here…but have been to Key West many times.  Walked past this hotel for years.  Right up the street from Pepe’s.  Room was very clean w/nice, high ceilings in the one we stayed in on the first floor.  Gave a spacious feeling to it.  Front porch off our room was nice for sitting out on late evenings/early mornings with coffee…watching people & traffic go by.  Street is a busy intersection but with A/C running, we never heard much noise at all each night.  Great location to Seaport area (Conch Republic, Alonzo’s, ect), which is where we spend most of our time.  It was wonderful to be so close walking distance-wise!  Continental Breakfast was nice – biscuits & gravy, muffins, pastries, cereal, ect – very good coffee too!  Staff was pleasant every time we ran into anyone.  We stayed in the main building.  There are 2 other historic houses that also belong to this hotel.  Would stay here again for sure!  Had a wonderful trip-just too short!  Hopefully, we’ll be back next Spring again! :)

We were very pleased with our stay at the Cypress House in March/April 2015. The location is ideal – just a couple blocks from the heart of Duval, but tucked away just enough for peace and quiet when you need it.

The breakfast each morning was a delight, as was the happy hour by the pool – equipped with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.

The ‘adults only’ aspect was enjoyable too! Very relaxing atmosphere by the pool.

We went during spring break, so prices were a little high, but that’s to be expected I suppose.

I would recommend this location.

My husband and I came for four days Spring Break(March-Apr) and the weather was wonderful. The staff at Cypress House was very nice and helpful. Breakfast was nicely prepared and liming was a great time for the guests to meet. We stayed in room 24, one of the suites which was very clean and had most everything one would need. I would suggest that more clothing storage be added, a few more throw blankets, and paper and pen. We could not have asked for a better location to Duval and the Pier. Had a Great Stay!

I have been going to Key West for many, many years and I must have passed the Cypress House countless times. I am so glad that we ended up staying here on our recent trip. Our room was large and quiet which we requested. If you request a room that is not street front, it will be much quieter. The room was clean and spacious. The pool was also fantastic. We spent a whole day just lounging at their pool. Breakfast was more than just continental. They had egg sandwiches and other small hot egg items that changed daily in addition to fruit, oatmeal, cereal, breads, bagels, juice and coffee. I did not make it to any of the happy hours but I was told by a friend that they have a certain amount of alcohol for happy hour and once it is gone, happy hour ends. So get there early if you want to benefit from happy hour! It’s proximity to everything was perfect. We barely needed a cab and we walked most places. In summary, the Cypress House was perfect for us. We are a young couple that likes to party and go out but come back to a relaxing, chill place to sleep. We will absolutely stay there the next time we are in Key West.

We highly enjoyed our stay. All the staff were extremely nice. We loved the room, the porch, the pool and the “liming” happy hour. Also it’s hard to beat the history of the place and the location. It’s very close to the waterfront and great restaurants like Pepe’s. The only possible downside is that the street outside can be a little noisy when you are sitting on the porch.

We spent 5 days at the Cypress House in March 2015. Staff was amazingly helpful and efficient. Our first night was in a room that we weren’t happy with (too close to the entrance of the main house) and the staff was very accomodating in finding us another room at the back of the hotel with a private patio which was perfect for us! Breakfast and afternoon snacks were great. Also, a nice group of people staying at the hotel. Won’t hesitate to go back next time we’re in the keys!
