My husband and I had a great stay at The Cypress House. All staff were friendly, professional and willing to help with recommendations on things to do as well as restaurants to try. The Liming Hour is great- a different appetizer each night and a delicious (alcoholic) beverage. Breakfast was also very good. The main (hearty) breakfast item was different each morning kept warm in Le Creuset in the kitchen. They also served muffins, bagels, toast, yogurt, fruit (apples, bananas, oranges), orange juice and coffee. We felt at home and comfortable our whole stay. We stayed in Room #1 which in in the main house on the first floor (corner of Simonton and Caroline). The room was clean and nicely decorated with a great porch view. Very convenient location for people watching on the porch and going in and out during the day…also close to the kitchen. The one downside- it was a little noisy at night. Our room was close to the front door so we could hear it open and close when guests were coming and going.  There was also a decent amount of street noise. We had a 5 star stay overall and would recommend The Cypress House to anyone going to Key West.

I highly recommend the Cypress House when visiting Key West. First of all, the location is amazing. The inn is only steps away from the excitement of Duval Street, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Secondly, the room was very spacious and comfortable. Last, but not least, the staff at the hotel was very helpful and accomodating. They truly make the guests feel like VIPs! My wife and I will defintely stay at the Cypress House again on our next trip to Key West.

Whenever my husband and I plan to visit Key West, there is NEVER a question as to where we’ll stay.  We look no further than the Cypress House.  We’ve been staying there since the year 2000 and always talk about the fantastic memories and friends we’ve made along the way.  Located perfectly near Duval Street, yet nestled just far enough away from the action to be a quiet get away.  Talk about the best of both worlds and ONLY the Cypress House comes to mind.   The staff is accommodating, super friendly and is always willing/able to lend a helping hand with any/all aspects of your stay.   We are currently looking into dates for our trip in 2015 to the Cypress House.  Thank you for another wonderful vacation experience!!!!!!!!!!

Cypress House was charming, with a low-key atmosphere. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable.  The location was convenient to Duval Street, yet far enough away that we didn’t have to worry about street noise. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and helpful.

I only have two cons about our stay. First, non-dairy creamer would have been appreciated for the continental breakfast. Non-dairy options should be a consideration in all establishments. My second con really involves Key West in general. I was surprised by the lack of recycling and non-use of biodegradable/compostable materials.  It’s quite surprising that Key West, a location reliant upon its waters and wildlife for its viability, is not more concerned about the environment. I hope that this will soon change.

There’s no better place to stay in Key West than the Cypress House.  There is a daily hot breakfast and daily liming hour (aka: the art of doing nothing) included.  Alexander allowed me to park in his parking spot twice.  Chris delivered frosty pops to me as I lounged around the pool.  Chris also helped us secure our trolley passes, told us to check out Pepe’s and pointed us to the library for more Key West history.  Dennis was phenomenal and also shared Key West history with us.  Scott was funny and insisted we leave our dirty dishes and wet towels strewn about to ensure his job security for cleaning up after us pesky tourists.  We refused to listen being the stubborn Americans we are.  Scott shared that Europeans follow his directions so much better than we do.  The Cypress House is historic with character and beautiful gardens and the rooms have a modern clean European feel.  The location is ideal in the north end of old town.  We plan on returning and staying at the Cypress House again – this is truly the best place to stay, best location, best service and the only place to embrace “liming hour” – the art of doing nothing every evening at 4:30pm.

The Cypress House was a wonderful place to stay during our recent trip to Key West. The location was so close to Duval Street and the marinas, we did not need to drive at all during our stay.  The rooms were beautiful with hardwood floors, plush bedding, and plenty of room to store clothes. Each room on the property was immaculately kept and well maintained. Each staff member that we encountered was pleasant and more than willing to lend a helping hand. They were very helpful in navigating around the area and provided maps and directions without qualm. The well-rounded breakfast offered each morning allowed even the pickiest of eaters to find something  delightful. Cypress House is an incredible property and I will definitely be recommending this Inn to my family and friends. I look forward to staying at this property during my own future ventures to Key West.

I spent 3 nights in Cypress House and I can affirm that this place is unforgettable. Starting from our room that was just beautiful and cozy, perfectly adorned and the bed was too comfortable. The location is just the best, perfectly located to reach everything you need! Another thing is the breakfast: loved it for sure!! Biscuits were one of my favorites and the personnel are nice and helpfull every time. Would like to come back as soon as I can. Best 3 nights ever.

My wife and I have stayed at the Cypress House a few times over the years and it has always been a fantastic stay.  This was due to the staff, location and the people that stayed at the Cypress House.

I am very happy to say that nothing has changed and that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was courteous and it was a pleasure to capture another fabulous weekend in the Keys at an old friend with new and fresh ideas.  My wife and I are already discussing our next adventure at the Cypress House.

Thanks,

David and Becky Bouchard

Cypress House is by far my favorite accommodation in Key West after our 3 night stay over the 4th of July. From the fantastic breakfasts to fun &  festive liming hours & the perfect location, Cypress House knocked it out of the park. We will definitely choose this location as our go to Key West accommodation from here on out!
