My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights early July.  The staff was VERY friendly and helpful in every way.  When we checked in, they upgraded our room to a king room with a porch.  I really loved that they did that for us without asking just because it was available.  Excellent customer service!  The room was beautiful and very clean.  I loved the location as it was within walking distance to everything.  Really loved the liming happy hour and appetizers in the evening as well.  Staying here helped make our good trip a GREAT TRIP.  Will definitely come back!!

We will definitely stay here again! Our room was clean & comfortable, the staff was helpful & friendly, and the location was perfect. Walking distance to restaurants, stores & night life but far enough away so we could sleep. Great breakfast and happy hour treats too!!

We’ve been coming to Cypress House for many years and really like the place and the excellent location – nice and close for diving with Southpoint.  Although we miss Dave and his dogs, the new ladies working at the desk and kitchen are exceptionally friendly and willing to offer advice on eating out, chartering a fishing boat etc.  I would suggest a bit more drink variety at the happy hour, but otherwise keep up the good work!

Excellent staff and hotel!  Requested an early check-in due to our arrival by cruise ship from Naples, Florida.  The staff  had our room ready at 12N.  Lovely room with all of the things I love:  a big bed, A/C,  cable TV, internet access, refrigerator, safe in room, big bathroom and huge shower, happy hour by the pool and breakfast in the morning.  Loved the location – close to the cruise docks and the activities were just a block away on Duval Street!  We will definitely stay there next time we come to Key West (hopefully soon)!!

All of the staff are charming wonderful people! The first room number 13 was located just off the pool and was perfect for us since we were going to camp at Dry Tortugas and had a lot of gear to take to the ferry. The bed was not that firm but everything else made up for that minor inconvenience. Especially when we got back from Dry Tortugas and stayed again at your lovely property we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to room 21 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Scott gets 5 stars in our book! He was Very helpful to us. He gave a great recommendation to the vegan restaurant Cafe! We also left behind a necklace and he went through the trash and recovered it for us. It has a lot of sentimental value to my husband and Scott saved it. We are so grateful! We called the company that he recommended and it should be fedexed to us in another day or two. With thanks to Scott and a very nice property we now have a wonderful place to stay in Key West!

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The staff was very helpful, the rooms were spacious, clean & updated and the location couldn’t have been better.

My husband and I would definitely recommend the Cypress House to others traveling to Key West.  We look forward to staying here again next year when we go back!

Thanks for helping make our annual trip to Key West fabulous!

My husband, friends and I stayed at Cypress House for 3 nights in July. Everything was really great. Staff was friendly, check went well and the staff gave us a brief tour. The room we had was in the old William Anthony Building so all of our rooms (we had 3) were very large, painted nicely, furnishings were great also. There was a wet bar with fridge, bathroom was nice size and tv’ and a/c worked well.

Breakfast in the morning was fine. Muffins, bagels, cereal and a hot item like mini omelettes. A better variety of fruit would be nice as all they had were 2 fruits a day. They also had happy hour around 4. They offered a drink of the day and a hot item like pulled pork or empanadas. Great seating area with fans and cover for the happy hour by the pool.

The pool was nice. You could get sun or shade. There was a lounge deck area upstairs. By the pool there were outdoor sofas. My ONLY complaint was they could use a chiller on the pool in the summer. You would get in and it was so so hot. We did not use the pool much. Instead we went to the beach at the end of Simonton.

Other than the hot pool, this is a great place to stay and very close to Duval and Sunset.

Thanks again.

My wife and I have visited Key West for the fourth time now, each time staying in a different hotel/Inn.  Our stay at Cypress House was by far our favorite thus far.  From check-in to check-out the experience was great.  Our room was very nice, with the exception of the following: 1) the water pressure in our sink was poor… We were in room number one. The shower was normal, so it must be something ascue there?  2) The bathroom fogs up and gets hot while showering, even if the shower water temp is as cool as you can make it.  THATS IT!! All else was great, from the little continental breakfast, which we think is timed perfectly, to the happy hour with snacks.  The location was great, not too close and not too far from duval.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Cypress!  Maybe we’ll stay there again, maybe not, but if we don’t t, it won’t  be because we weren’t entirely satisfied with the hotel!

We arrived at the Cypress House Hotel and were met by the most accommodating staff. It was my husband’s birthday and we received special recognition and was assigned a great room. The room was very clean and afforded all the necessaries needed to make our stay in Key West pleasant and enjoyable. We were fortunate to be located downstairs near the beautiful pool and breakfast area. We attended a complimentary happy hour with drinks and hors d’oeuvres the afternoon we arrived and enjoyed mingling with the other guests and staff. Lodging here gave you the sensation of visiting in someone’s personal home. The following morning we were extremely pleased with the beautiful and abundant breakfast. All of the staff exercised great care to assure that our stay was memorable. We are planning to return for our anniversary. When you are in the Key West area I would recommend staying here. We found the Cypress House clean, friendly and affordable.

Thank You

We went to Key West in June 2015 and stayed at The Key Lime Inn. We loved the accomodations and had such a great time we decided to go back in July 2015. This time we decided to find accomodations closer to the wharf where we liked to spend our evenings. Being we had such a great experience at the Key Lime Inn we decided to to book another Historic Key West Inns property. We chose the Cypress House because of the location but found the accomodations and service was EXCELLENT. We were given a complimentary upgrade to our room at check in which is something they offer their guests when they can. The staff always offered a smile and asked if there was anything they could do for us. There was a good selection of food and beverages for breakfast, munchies in the afternoon & clean beach towels by the pool which you can use at the hotel or take to the beach for the day. The location is great, you are no more than a few minutes walk from Duval, the wharf and Mallory Square. I was a little hesitant to stay at the Cypress House because there is no parking at the hotel but was pleased to find they have an agreement with the city parking garage; $10 for 24hrs with in and out privleges. You pay for the parking at hotel check in, they provide a pass to hang on your mirror and the garage is just a few blocks away. This was our first time staying at the Cypress House but it won’t be the last. We are already looking into arrangements for our next trip!
I would definately recommend either of these hotels. The Key Lime Inn offers a slightly lower rate and has free on-site parking, the Cypress House Hotel is priced slightly higher but just minutes away from everything.
