We had a nice visit and liked our room. The renovations since our last stay are really nice. The new fixtures, new furniture and new décor (nice drapes, comfy bed, mini fridge  etc.)  and new pool area are all very nice. It was great we were able to stay in the same room for our stay and got upgraded. Originally we were going to have to move rooms due to what was available. The crew were all very friendly and nice. only aspect that could be improved somewhat was the happy hour. It would have been nice to have more than one item to snack on. One night it was chips and salsa and another conch fritters. Would liked to have had some cheese and crackers or olives too. A choice of beverages might have been welcome also.  Everything else said classy place.  And what happened to the house kitty cat we saw last time? Missed that. Love that there are no loud kids in the pool, and pool is clean, and heated. Very relaxing.

Management note: Sadly, the kitty cat is no longer with us. Lady Bug was quite old and we treated her diabetes for a long time, but it eventually took its toll. We miss her too.

We stayed our 1st two nights in Key West at the Cypress House Grand Conch Mansion in room 2. Could not ask for a more wonderful room in a perfect location! Walking/Biking distance to anywhere you want to go.

Checking in, Scott was simply the best. Getting our car tucked away in the parking garage and guiding us on a few things to do, and general whereabouts of what the town has to offer. So knowledgeable! The next morning, they called down and had us a bike ready to go in 15 minutes. Superb service!!

Queen bed and updated bathroom was perfect. Loved the decor and they fact that during renovations, they hung on to as much originality as possible.

We did not partake in the happy hour and snacks, but both of us enjoyed the different offerings for breakfast. Each morning, we were not disappointed, and dined by the pool.

Turn down service with new towels was a plus as well.

The 2nd two nights, we were moved down the street a house away. The location is just as great, but this house just didn’t have that ‘feel’ the Conch Mansion did. Our room 22 was a wonderful King size with mini kitchen and dinette with an updated bath as well. This house is just 4 stars for me, cause we were really excited to stay in the other house. I didn’t mention my disappointment to the staff, because we were already moved into the room. You will feel sort of displaced from the original house, having to walk for ice, drinks, or breakfast.

The staff was wonderful, and they may have been willing to keep us in the Conch Mansion if I had asked. So, I’ll take all fault to that.

When we return to Key West, we will hopefully stay with you again.  I hope we will be able to stay entirely within the Grand Conch Mansion of the Cypress House.

Thank you!

Hi

I would like to thank you for the wonderful time I spent at your nice Cypress House hotel. I especially would like to thank Scott for being so nice and helpful – I really appreciated his support a lot! It really felt like family at your place and I sure will recommend your hotel to everyone I know going to Key West. The location is great and it’s also very close to all the hot spots – just perfect! Also the breakfast was terrific!

Thanks again for a great time and have a Happy New Year!

We stayed over for five days and had a terrific time.  Room 9 was right by the pool and, though cozy, had been redone and the bathroom and shower was the best I’ve seen in a long time.  The service was great and Dennis helped us with restaurant and scooter reservations.  Right in the heart of town near Duval, this is the place to stay in Key West.

We spent 5 days here and were extremely pleased. Our guest room was in the main ‘Conch Mansion’ house and was huge, romantic and tastefully decorated. Chris & Scott were very knowledgeable and made you feel like family. Actually, all of the employees here did that too. Breakfast by the pool is different every morning with a good variety. The nightly social hour and snacks are different each day and very tasty. The cocktails change daily–sangria, rum punch, margarita’s, we had them all!  Even though you are close to Duval, it is very quiet and peaceful. We also really loved the Christmas decorations, it felt like we were in a charming novel. We will definitely be back and recommend it to our friends.

We stayed in room 2 in the beautiful ‘grand mansion’ house located on the first floor. It is a very large room with a nice bath that has a walk in shower and historic stained-glass window. The room has plenty of storage and one wall has the most impressive built in bookshelf.

Breakfast is by the pool and an afternoon social are included with the room. Breakfast had a hot selection that changed each day. We both liked the huge marble top table in the kitchen where they place the breakfast items. The afternoon social had a drink of the day and varied appetizers.

Dennis, Chris and the staff work hard to please everyone and they were very helpful and made sure all your needs are met. They helped us rent bikes which we used to get all around the island.

This hotel has a great location-close to Duval St, Mallory Square and many great restaurants. At night it’s quiet enough that you think you’re far away from the nightlife.

We would definitely stay here again.

Considering that you are two blocks from Duval street, the Cypress House is a peaceful place. The staff was very friendly, had great suggestions on where to go in the city and gave us great recommendations for restaurants too. We really enjoyed breakfast by the pool, as well as, the Liming cocktails every evening. We talked with a lot of the other guests and they were having a fun time too. Can’t wait for our next visit.

We chose the Cypress House based on the reviews we read. Although our visit was cut short due to a death in our family, the time we spent was quite enjoyable. From the greeting at the front desk at check-in to our unexpected early departure, everyone at Cypress House was friendly and accommodating. Special kudos to Danielle who not only provided a delicious breakfast but also assisted in a room change after a first no-sleep night in Room 16. There was nothing she could do about the traffic noise on the street, unruly pedestrians or boisterous next room guests but she could switch us to a quieter inner room. We appreciated her courteous response and were very pleased with Room 7 for our second night.  This was not our first visit to Key West but we discovered new culinary venues as your afternoon cocktail hour around the pool inspired camaraderie among the guests. (Our Thanksgiving dinner was at the recommended Square One Restaurant – excellent!)  Since our departure, we’ve shared the experience with several of our friends and are now talking of returning to Key West in January with another couple. Thank you for a delightful stay and we hope to visit again soon.

I stayed here with my family and was pleased. It really was just 2 blocks to the main drag (Duval St) and close to the historic seaport. We had a sunset sail the evening we arrived and were happy to have had time for a cocktail first during what they call a Liming hour!  It is poolside, nightly and posted each day with an appetizer to compliment the drink, which changes daily. I was also impressed with the selection we had at breakfast and we all liked that it was by the pool under a canopy.

Our room was located in the historic grand mansion on the 3rd floor and was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was very comfy, we slept like logs. The bathroom was huge and appeared clean with simple modern décor. We chose Key West to celebrate my father’s 75th birthday, and I’m so glad it was everything (and more) that I had hoped for! I would definitely return to this beautiful place.

We had an excellent stay. The check-in process was accomodating. We arrived early, and as promised by the front desk, our room was cleaned next and while we were at lunch, we were called to let us know our room was ready.

We stayed on the ground floor and loved having the veranda. The trees and bushes provided us more privacy than we expected and did an excellent job muting out the street noise. Our close friends came in a day after we did, and were originally upstairs over us, but the front desk was kind enough to move them downstairs so that we could easily sit on the verandah together and easily visit and coordinate our time together.

My only ‘recommendation’ would be to not include meat (and it was always pork) with the egg dishes every morning. It makes it difficult for those of us who either don’t eat pork or don’t eat meat to have protein (eggs) in the morning.

Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay with accomodating and pleasent staff. We would not only stay at the Cypress House again, we would highly recommend it to our friends.

Thank you for your commitment to quality – it shows.
