This was my first visit back to the Keys in 17 years and our date of stay was June 4th to June 8th 2014.  I had considered many places to stay but I sure got things right when we chose the Key Lime Inn. It really had that Old Key west feeling with modern amenities .  One of the biggest selling points was free parking and free wi fi. At first there was no spot available for our car but as soon as one was available we were called by the front desk staff and was able to move our car to a spot less than 10 minutes of arrival . The location was outstanding and located close to a great dessert place called Better than Sex.  It was unique dining experience and you will need reservations or have an hour wait.  The INN is also  a midway point between Mallory Square and the Southernmost Point so I felt were we were close to everything the keys had to offer.  We felt totally safe and the staff, as well as the other guests, were very courteous. It was not a party place , but a place to really enjoy your down time and relax .  We had a cottage by the pool and I was worried about it being too loud but it was never an issue.   The staff was great in assisting with taxi service and even  provided us with delivery menus when we needed them for one night. My only sort of disappointment  was that you could not request a room. I had requested 4 different rooms and I received an email that it likely I would get one of the rooms I requested. On arrival I was given 36 and it was not one of the ones I had asked for but I really loved the room and was very  pleased. I think  it is a perfect spot for couples to kick back and relax.  I would recommend this to any friends making plans to go to key west. Also Louie’s After Deck remains one of my favorite spots in the world and it’s in walking distance!

Everything about our trip was magical at the Key Lime Inn.  From the minute that we arrived. The first person that we met was Clement and the last person that we saw before we left was Clement. I don’t think that gentleman ever sleeps! I am a true believer of 1st impressions can make or break your opinion. Well I have to tell you from that first moment everything about Key Lime Inn was wonderful. Checking in was fast and very professional. We stayed in # 14 and it was delightful. It was clean and the linens were crisp and  the bed was just right! Just perfect for the two of us. The house keeping staff was very responsive to our needs. The first day I asked for extra towels and right away they brought them to me. They also let me know at any time if we needed more just ask. The pool was charming and inviting. The front staff was great with explaining the area to us so we would not get lost. They recommended restaurants and things for us to do. Our favorite restaurant is El Siboney, a delightful cuban restaurant on Catherine and Margaret Streets. We loved it so much we went twice!

I would also like to add about your front of the house staff how gracious they were about letting me charge my fuel band. I left my fuel band with the front desk because it was running out of power. I came back a little while later to pick it up it still was not ready and they said not a problem come back later so I did. Thanks again, I would have been lost with out it!  The breakfast by the pool was delightful! An assortment of nibbles that was just enough to get your engine going. I will say at check out I was very sad, but only because I did not want to leave our home away from home. We will be back next year with bells on! I am hoping some our friends will join us! This was our first trip to Key West and will not be our last! Key Lime Inn you will forever be our second home! Thank you once again!

We stayed at the Key Lime Inn on our second trip down to the Keys. We stayed at the Albury Court hotel on our first visit and we liked it so much that we wanted to experience another one of the Historic Key West Inns.

The staff at Key Lime Inn was so friendly and welcoming. I had an issue connecting to the WiFi on my Surface, and the front desk was very helpful with getting it resolved. Our room was very clean and pleasant. The pool was spacious and the water was the right temperature. Every morning breakfast was served by the pool – bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee and whatnot. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy breakfast before starting our day. This hotel definitely carters to couples, and that was a plus with us. Would definitely go back to Key Lime or try another one of the Inns.

While in South Florida visiting a friend, we decided to take a little girl’s trip down to Key West, just a one night jaunt (6/2/14 to 6/3/14).  Our experience with everyone at Historic Key West Inns far exceeded our expectations.  The gal who helped us with our reservation was kind and patient, she saved the room for us, until we could finally make up our mind (I called her back within the hour).  We were torn between two of your properties and she assisted us in making our final decision, on the Key Lime Inn.

Upon arrival, before noon; the front desk staff readily pre-registered us and were most helpful in suggesting tours and places to see. We ended up selecting the city tour trolley with on and off privileges as well as a nice narrated tour of the town.  This was money well spent and we were even able to purchase the Hemingway House Tour at a discount through the trolley company. SCORE!

Our trip was plagued with rain and clouds both days.  Upon return to the Inn, the lobby was crowded checking in customers and answering questions, one of the gals at the desk noticed we were patiently waiting, when she found out we were already registered, she excused herself between customers and brought us our room keys.  The room was lovely (2 double beds), clean, and despite its small size, had ample room and storage space for all of our stuff (we girls don’t travel lightly).  Exhausted from a full day of running around, our intent to blaze the town that night quickly came to an sizzling end resulting in us ordering pizza to the room.  My friend was hell bent on a piece of Key Lime Pie, and she consulted with the staff as to the closest place to secure the tangy delight.  A two minute walk to a nearby dinner house and she was back in no time with our desert.

Sadly. we were checking out the following day.  Breakfast poolside was comprehensive.  The area was clean, and staff stood by ready to assist anyone with any questions or needs.  Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, from reception, to housekeeping, to the groundskeepers and maintenance guys.  Still not done seeing the sights, but still needed to check out, the front desk staff graciously allowed us to keep the car there most of the day and lent us an umbrella for the day’s outing.  We were about 20 minutes late returning, nevertheless, we were greeted with smiles and well wishes for our trip home.

Despite the rain, we had a great time and enjoyed our accommodations.   With hundreds of places to choose from, what sets anyplace apart is the level of service provided and the cleanliness of the place.  I only wish we could have stayed longer. Bravo to the Key Lime Inn and their staff.  I will definitely choose the Key Lime Inn again and recommend to all traveling to Key West.

This was our second stay at the Key Lime Inn.  We talked about it so much after our first stay, our friends had to come with us this time!  We love the little cottages and overall charm of the property.  It is very “Key West” to us.

Our room was very clean and comfortable.  We enjoyed sitting on our “porch” in the adirondak chairs, it felt like home.

The staff was very friendly any time we visited the front desk; from making dinner reservations to printing out our boarding passes for us – always with a smile.   I even received a call after we checked out to let me know I had forgotten an item in our room.  Excellent customer service!

We can’t wait for our next visit to the Key Lime Inn!

We enjoyed our stay at Key Lime Inn. It was our first time to Key West and your staff certainly was quite helpful especially Melissa. Anything I asked for she took care of it. She helped with our itinerary the whole five days we were there. We didn’t even have to call a taxi. It was done by her. Your staff informed us quite well on restaurants, things to see and places to go. If they did not know the answer they found out for us. As for the location— awesome! Quiet, but yet close enough to walk to Duval. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was always there to please. Breakfasts were served out on the pool deck and quite good. The pool was fantastic and heated made it even better. Checking in and out was quite easy and everyone was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend Key Lime Inn as a great place to stay and we will be back to stay there. We are already planning when we can come again. We liked everything in Key West. The food is unbelievable. We ate at most of the restaurants on Simonton and it is quite close.  All the restaurants on that street are great! We rented a moped which made it quite easy to get around. Loved it! Thank you for memories that we will not forget!
