We had a great time in Key West. The hotel was very close to Duval St. ,yet far enough away. The staff was very knowledgeable and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. We will stay here again.

My husband and I were in dire need of a relaxing escape from a stressful past year and the winter cold. My father had stayed at the Key Lime Inn in the past, and when I told him we were thinking of the Keys he immediately told me to call the Key Lime Inn to book our stay. We booked the hotel with a very helpful Randy who put in a request for a secluded, romantic spot with available parking for our rental car. When confirming our reservation, Shannon was incredibly helpful in assisting us with making some last minute adjustments.

When we arrived, we entered the private parking lot and noticed the beautiful historic inn and the adjacent quaint cottages. Our fingers were crossed that we would be in one of those picturesque buildings and Randy had been so sweet to reassure us we would have a very special getaway. When we checked in, the staff greeted us with enthusiasm and informed us that we had the private cottage in the front that we were eyeing! We were very excited but we had arrived a little early for check-in. No worries because they pointed us in the direction of some great mojitos and our bike rental location and called us when our room was ready. We were elated when we opened the door to our cottage to find a beautifully appointed room with incredible light and french doors that opened up to our own private sitting area. The next 4 days were like heaven.

We would explore Key West on our bikes in the morning and come back to lounge in the afternoon at their incredible private pool that was surrounded by palm trees and plenty of lounge chairs. The other guests and staff became fast friends during those lazy afternoons. When we would go back to our rooms to refresh for the evening, our rooms were cleaned and put back to their original perfect state. It felt like our own private paradise and we have missed it every day since we have been back in the real world.

My husband and I have traveled all over the world and this is definitely become our favorite spot of all. Thank you for making our trip such a special one and we hope to be back living the Keys lifestyle (even only for a few days) again very soon!

We had a very comfortable stay with you. The front desk was extremely helpful. When we arrived, the gal at the desk helped us find a parking place right across the street, because the parking lot was full. The night staff gave us recommendations for really good restaurants every night. Most importantly, when we left an entire drawer full of clothes, your staff called and told us how we could have them shipped to the next stop. We don’t usually leave things behind. We are so grateful you help to correct this error on our part. We will definitely come again!

We just returned from a weekend trip to Key West.  We really enjoyed the Key Lime Inn.  Highly recommend paying the extra for the King rooms in the main house – well worth it.  Coffee on the porch listening to the palm leaves rustle in the breeze – very serene.  Location was great.  Grounds were very quaint and had various sitting areas/hammocks throughout. 2 block walk to Duval and 10 minute walk to Blue Heaven – the best breakfast on Key West!  Will definitely consider staying for our next trip down.

Perfect inn off the main drag- we stayed in a king suite ( #10) with a porch which was very spacious.   I did not see what a cottage looked like but some were available at this hotel.  I ask to see one but they were all occupied.  Check in and check out was a breeze and the staff courteous, efficient, and helpful with advice and directions. The bathrooms were very clean and it was nice to actually have clean bathroom vanity drawers for use.  Refrigerator was located at bedside,  and a very small safe was bolted to the floor in the closet.  Surrounding grounds were private with hammocks, rockers and table and chairs. Poolside was clean and neat with tables, chairs and loungers.  Evening socializing and shared drinks were permitted by the pool. This is where continental breakfast is served daily. Parking was limited but available on street or in their adjacent hotels lots.  Housekeeping was daily and efficient.  Bike rentals were great for traveling the island and located within walking distance of the hotel.  We had a group of 7 so negotiated a very fair price of $10 / day. Smoking is permitted in some areas poolside and on the porch.  I would stay here again and recommend it to my family and friends.

Room Tip: If bothered by late night conversation by the pool request a room farther away. Some units require stairs so if that is a problem mention that at time of reservation.

A few of our favorite places: Saint Mary Star of the Sea Church and Grotto ( the mass was an awesome experience):  Sunset pier and happy hour at Commodores: Mallory Square at Sunset ( look for Bobby) and Duval.

We do not recommend the drag queen shows- we have seen these tastefully done- but found these not so.

I had the pleasure of escaping a brutal Chicago winter for a brief stay at the Key Lime Inn from February 22 thru February 26, 2015. Upon arrival we were welcomingly greeted by Michelle at the front desk. She promptly checked us in & explained all that the Inn had to offer & how to get around town. Daily greetings, directions, suggestions on restaurants & calls for taxis all were provided promptly and with a warm smile. Having never stayed at the Key Lime Inn, I didn’t know what to expect. Rooms & common areas are very clean & well kept & staff is very friendly & accomodating. The only things that I thought were lacking were a pool side tiki bar, inhouse food service for guests & a more conveniently located room safe. Overall, however, my girlfriend & I thoroughly enjoyed the quaintness of the Key Lime Inn. Looking forward to coming back sooner than later. Thank you & God bless.

We arrived in Key West at 3:00pm perfect timing to check in. The front desk staff was very friendly and gave us some coupons for resturants and area attractions that they recommended. We had great parking close to our room and was in full view of the front desk so felt comfortable with our car parked there. Once dropping off our stuff we set out for a walking tour of the area sights. We were gone until 9:00pm after seeing the sunset, performers at Mallory Square, and dinner. We came back for a jacket and went back out for a dessert of key lime pie dipped in chocolate on a stick! YUM!

Felt very comfortable walking back and forth to Duval Street from the hotel. Appreciated all the lights in the early to mid evening that were around but to tell you the truth there was TOO MUCH LIGHT coming through the wooden blinds which made it a little hard to sleep. Maybe some sort of black roller blind next to the window wouldn’t ruin the look of the room and would help keep the light out. The room was very clean. We would have liked a larger shower head as the shower stall is very big but the shower head very small with very little water that comes out. Since there was only a shower it was hard to wash out hair with little water pressure and flow. Really loved the shampoo, conditioner and body wash!!! THANK YOU! A couple more towels would have been nice too as the towels were still damp in the morning from the evenings shower. There was not an alarm clock in the room but I suppose most people either get a wake up call, or use there phone for a clock and wake up. Would have liked to have an extra blanket as it was a bit chilly that night.( Hard to believe but it was unusually cold that night (FEB)). For a continental breakfast there was a nice variety to choose from and we loved the big Oranges! Since breakfast was only from 8-10 I think everyone came and ate at the same time so people had to sit in the lounge chairs by the pool as there wasn’t enough room from 8-9am.. We would have liked a 7am breakfast but not a huge deal. We went back to the room and decided to check out because the gal at the front desk said we could keep car in lot until 2:00pm which we really appreciated because we had to leave around 1:00ish anyway and didn’t want to have to make it back by 11:00. We wanted to go out and do some additional sight seeing and shopping and meet a friend for an early lunch so being able to keep the car parked there was terrific.

So overall our 24 hours in Key West was terrific and will recommend the Key Lime Inn to all! We never got to try the heated pool as it really wasn’t warm enough to swim but it looked clean and well kept. We appreciated the coffee maker, safe and the fridge that was in the room however we never did use them. Thanks for making our trip terrific!

My wife and I arrived on a Monday for a two night stay.  One of the reasons I chose the Key Lime Inn was that it was one of the Historic Key West Inns that had parking.  It was also located near the center of old town so we did not have to get back into our car once we arrived.  The front desk staff was efficient and friendly.  The room was clean and very comfortable.  The hotel grounds were immaculate.  The hotel is located off one of the main drags but I never noticed any loud traffic noise.  The first thing we did was take a swim in the beautiful pool.  The next morning we helped ourselves at the continental breakfast served next to the pool.  The food was fresh and good.  Our stay was far too short and we hope to return soon.  Thank you.

If you’re looking for a charming, low-key place to stay in Key West, this is it.  The location in the heart of old town and a short walk from Duval Street can’t be beat. Yet despite being close to all the action, the Key Lime Inn was very restful.  My Superior Queen room was nicely appointed with modern furniture and bright, tropical colors and had all the amenities one would expect from a much pricier hotel: a refrigerator and K-cup coffee-maker, large flat screen t.v., generous bedding, and an abundance of fluffy towels.  The included breakfast was tops with a variety of breads and pastries from local bakeries.  Though not large, the pool area was attractive and peaceful. The free, on-site parking was a further plus.  In all, I had a wonderful stay and heartily recommend the Key Lime Inn to those looking for comfort and value in a superb location.
