I booked a room for one night as a side trip on our visit to the Miami area. The Key Lime Inn is a beautiful place.

The facilities were clean and well appointed. We had a wonderful time lounging in the hammock and the bench swing.

The staff was responsive. We had a need for extra towels and pillows. Within minutes of our request, the staff was at our door with fresh towels and pillows.

The one complaint I would have is the staff is perhaps not knowledgeable to the needs of riders. We rented a Harley-Davidson Road Glide in Miami for our ride down the Keys. Upon check-in, I was requested to move the rather large bike from the parking lot, up a narrow sidewalk, and under a tree next to an array of scooters. The logic for this was their belief that given the gravel driveway the bike would tip over as cars drove past. I have been riding for many years and have parked large Harleys in many a gravel parking lot. I have never had one simply tip over for no reason.

This July was my girlfriend and I’s first time to the Keys, let alone Florida.  We had some high expectations of what we were in for however were completely blown away by our trip from driving and checking in to our 2 days around Key West and on our way up the coast to the Kennedy Space Center.  We had multiple stops planned on this summer vacation of ours; Key West, Cape Canaveral and ended up in Orlando for a magical Disney wedding.  Although we stayed in Disney World and attended a beautiful wedding, absolutely nothing compares to our visit to Key West.

It all began with the gracious welcome at check-in proceeded by the explanation of the Hotel and activities around the area. We felt right at home, especially when we walked in the door to our beautifully clean and comfortable room.  This room exceeded every stop during our trip and left us to explore Key West while knowing what comfort we had to come ‘home’ to.  The breakfasts were fulfilling and always on time.  The pool was in immaculate condition and we were able to relax for hours pool-side.  This is not a feat that is common at most hotel pools!  I have NEVER enjoyed my time at the pool during a hotel stay in my life like I was able to at the Key Lime Inn.  From check-in to check-out, we were pleasantly surprised at the comfort we were treated with at the Key Lime Inn and we’ll recommend it to absolutely everyone we know headed to the Southernmost city in this beautiful country of ours!

We stayed a week, what a neat experience. Breakfast was good and on time as we left each morning just after breakfast. Arleen enjoyed the pool side chairs and lounges as well as the pool; temperature was perfect! We will recommend the Inn to our friends who may be going down to Key West.

My boyfriend and I went to Key West for the weekend and were not disappointed in this hotel.  The little individual cottages were adorable.  I had read reviews where some complained about the AC and the beds.  I couldn’t disagree more with those reviewers.   We stayed in Room 11 and the AC was in superb working order and felt amazing after a long day out sightseeing.  So amazing that we took an unexpected nap on the comfy bed before setting out for the night.

The staff was accommodating in allowing us a late checkout and also getting a taxi for us to the airport.  The location is not far from Duval but towards the quieter southern end.  It was a nice stroll home from the more boisterous areas of the Island to our quiet little inn.

The breakfast was a pretty decent array of cereals, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and local pastries.

I recommend this place and would return back in a heartbeat!

The Key Lime Inn is my absolute favorite place to stay, in Key West or anywhere.  The rooms are clean and cozy, the staff is so friendly.  The whole property has a unique feel with personality and character, unlike so many generic hotels out there.  The pool area is beautiful, clean and relaxing, and so refreshing to enjoy after being out in the salt water all day.  I have stayed at the Key Lime Inn 3 times now, and my most recent visit was for 2 weeks because I love it there so much.  Each of these trips I have been alone, and I have always felt so safe and comfortable and at home there.  It actually means the world to me to have a place to visit that feels so wonderful.  I am already planning my next trip back.  Thank you so much!!!

This was our third visit to Key West and the first time we stay in town, usually we stay at the Beachside Marriott. I will say that the Key Lime Inn was just as nice, we enjoyed our stay just as well as we did at the Marriott.

Normally I don’t visit the same place twice, but we, my boyfriend Richard and I, had such a wonderful time last year that we repeated again this year. The Key Lime Inn is a wonderful oasis. The Inn exceeded our expectations again for the 2nd year. Michelle, the receptionist, was wonderful and actually told me that she remembered us from the previous year. I was so surprised about that, since she sees so many guests. Michelle recommended an excellent and funky fish shank for lunch, arranged for a porter for our luggage and reservations to a wonderful restaurant. We liked our suite from the previous year and actually were able to get that same room again this year.
We would certainly recommend this Inn to our friends. The Inn’s location is wonderful since it is walking distance to the hustle and bustle of Duval St but far enough away that one can enjoy peace and quiet.
There are so many things to see and do in Key West that it is hard to recommend a favorite restaurant or attraction. We did come back a second time to do things that we hadn’t done the previous year. We enjoyed a lovely, off-the-tourist radar restaurant of Mangia, Mangia. Mangia Mangia makes their own pasta and reminded me of a neighborhood restaurant from Brooklyn, NY, which was walking distance from the Inn.
Thanks again for making our vacation memorable, relaxing and fun!

Nice place in Key West within a couple minutes walk to Duval St.  We had a little cottage to ourselves, which was nice.  Everything I wanted it to be.

I would highly recommend Key Lime Inn to anyone. Cottages were clean, relaxing, the staff were very pleasant, curtious and very helpful. Loved the muffins for breakfast and enjoyed the birds and lizards friends. The pool was relaxing. Was there for my great niece’s wedding , we had a party of ten all together. My daughter, niece, mother of the bride and I came on Tuesday and the rest of the party joined us on Wed. I will definitely stay longer the next time, so much to see and do. The hotel is located within walking distance to most everything. The only thing I would like to have had was a room to put my luggage in that could be locked while I was waiting for my room to be ready.  The staff was considerate to let us leave it in the lobby where they watched over it..

Sincerely,

Myra Fonda Weintraut

We left Key West today after visiting the area for the first time. We were in Key West to attend a family destination wedding and a little vacation. We stayed at the Key Lime Inn for 4 nights and had a great stay. Upon checkin the front desk was kind and very helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and the perfect location for us. We would definitely stay at the Key Lime Inn again if we ever get a chance to return and recommend it to others. My only suggestion would be to find a way to make the pool a little bit cooler. Which I’m sure is hard in 90+ degree heat. Thank you!
