My husband and I traveled with another couple and made the journey down to the Keys – the first time for all of us. Check in was good –  I don’t recall the name of who helped us but she was very informative. Parking was a little difficult but we managed. Our room was just big enough, the property was lush and the pool was very inviting.  The staff was very polite and considerate- opening doors for us when they saw us struggling  with our bags. Complimentary breakfast was nice too but the guys would have liked a waffle or some bacon.  It was great to have the Lighthouse Museum and Ernest Hemingway house so close  as we ventured to both, but got around on scooters the rest of our stay. We made every attempt to see /explore everything and would definitely  recommend the hotel to friends and family. The only downfall was waking up to the neighbors roosters at 4 am, but overall had a great time.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Lighthouse Court! Just minutes from Duval street with friendly staff and charming, clean rooms! The entire place just screams out Key West. We can’t wait to go back!

My husband and I stayed in the Hemingway suite, we got married in beautiful key west through the Historic Key West Inns. I could not have planned anything better myself, the wedding coordinator, Mary Simmons, did an amazing job, made our stay warm and welcoming. The inn, as usual, was very clean and we had a relaxing stay. The Hemingway suite was beautiful and spacious and has some great views! We will be back!

Let’s start with you can pay a lot more and end up with a lot less. My wife and I, along with our best friends, arrived via the Key West Express and the hotel was a piece of cake to get to. Directly across from the Hemingway House and next to the Lighthouse (thus the name), and upon entering the reception area we were treated like we had stayed there numerous times.

The front desk staff could not have been more hospitable and friendly. We had a bit of a mix up with our reservation but fortunately your wonderful manager, Abby, came to our rescue. Our rooms were ready early, and even if they hadn’t been, we had the option of using the pool and the bar area. The grounds were clean and tidy and every staff member treated us as old friends. The porch swings were comfortable and relaxing and the drinks were cool and refreshing. The pool ,while warm, still provided relief from the heat. Did we mention how wonderful your entire staff, especially your manger Abby, was? Abby made a point to come around to make sure everything was AOK for us. The rooms were very clean and provided everything we needed. The proximity to Duval Street and various attractions made staying at the Lighthouse Court Hotel the perfect choice.

We look forward to returning Key West and staying with our friends at the Lighthouse Court.

I have stayed at Lighthouse Court three times now and will never stay anywhere else. First, staff is extremely friendly from receptionists to housekeeping staff. They make you feel very warm and welcome during your stay. Gives all you need to know about the island and what amazing adventures you can get into. The grounds are absolutely amazing and feel so secluded in your own private oasis. Highly recommend staying with this wonderful group.

The Lighthouse Court was a very clean place. The pool was nice for a midnight swim. The staff was very friendly. I didn’t like that the pool had swim hours. I feel that you should not close the pool. Nighttime is the best time to swim. The hotel bar needs some things, I asked for numerous odd drinks that the bar tender didn’t have the supplies to make.

Lighthouse Court lacks adequate parking for everyone staying at the hotel, which means I had to spend a significant amount of time searching nearby streets for paid parking because of when I had arrived during the day in relation to other guests that also wanted to park on-site. The issue I have with this is simply that if you’re going to spend a good amount of money on staying at a nice inn, you’d expect that the basic amenity of free on-site parking would be available to you.

I found a $20 per-day lot and then I had to walk my bags a good distance from the lot to the inn. I realize parking is sparse in Key West, but it would be nice if Lighthouse Court would compensate visitors who cannot fit their car in their lot for the fee they have to pay elsewhere. I’m not sure if they would be willing to do this as this possible solution only occurred to me as I was writing this review.

Everything else about Lighthouse Court was great. The staff were friendly, the chambermaids left new towels outside our room when “privacy please” prevented them from getting access when they needed to, the hotel itself was beautiful. Counter-space in the bathroom was sparse, but that’s not a big deal. Would stay again.

I’ve been going to the keys since I was a little girl and after finding out that my boyfriend had never been, decided to take him on a four day vacation down to Key West. We are both big literature fans, so obviously staying across from Heminway’s house was my first choice, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just paying for location. So, I researched for days before I decided on Lighthouse Court. Not only was the location perfect, but it looked beautiful online (and just as gorgeous in person!)

Unfortunately our ride down was a little frustrating so by the time we got there we were both a little grumpy, but felt so welcome the moment I got to Lighthouse Court. The lady at the front desk wasted no time in showing us all the interest points on the map, telling us who had the best food, where the good drink deals were, places that had the best beaches, etc. It was exactly the welcome that we needed to get our minds back into vacation mode.

Not only that, but every person we spoke to from maintenance workers to the bar tender were incredibly friendly. When we asked to stay for an extra night they tried to find us the nicest room with the best deal and it worked out perfectly. My only complaint was that our king suite had a sink and a fridge, but no microwave. That would have made eating our awesome leftovers from Fire Fly and Sloppy Joe’s a lot better, since Sloppy Fries aren’t exactly good cold. However, the lady that checked us in mentioned that our room had just been renovated so I’m assuming that the microwave just hadn’t come in yet!

Overall, the place was perfect. The location, the staff, the rooms, the bar, everything. We will definitely be booking with Historic Key West Inns when we come down in the fall!
