I’ve been going to the keys since I was a little girl and after finding out that my boyfriend had never been, decided to take him on a four day vacation down to Key West. We are both big literature fans, so obviously staying across from Heminway’s house was my first choice, but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just paying for location. So, I researched for days before I decided on Lighthouse Court. Not only was the location perfect, but it looked beautiful online (and just as gorgeous in person!)

Unfortunately our ride down was a little frustrating so by the time we got there we were both a little grumpy, but felt so welcome the moment I got to Lighthouse Court. The lady at the front desk wasted no time in showing us all the interest points on the map, telling us who had the best food, where the good drink deals were, places that had the best beaches, etc. It was exactly the welcome that we needed to get our minds back into vacation mode.

Not only that, but every person we spoke to from maintenance workers to the bar tender were incredibly friendly. When we asked to stay for an extra night they tried to find us the nicest room with the best deal and it worked out perfectly. My only complaint was that our king suite had a sink and a fridge, but no microwave. That would have made eating our awesome leftovers from Fire Fly and Sloppy Joe’s a lot better, since Sloppy Fries aren’t exactly good cold. However, the lady that checked us in mentioned that our room had just been renovated so I’m assuming that the microwave just hadn’t come in yet!

Overall, the place was perfect. The location, the staff, the rooms, the bar, everything. We will definitely be booking with Historic Key West Inns when we come down in the fall!

Our stay at the Lighthouse Court Hotel was a very relaxing, clean, cozy, and pleasant stay. I will be staying again at this hotel for my next Key West visit. The location is awesome  Everything is just a short walk away. The staff was extremely helpful, friendly and very professional. I have already liked the hotel on Facebook and shared pictures of our room and hotel grounds. Thank you for a wonderful vacation stay.

Although we only stayed one night at your hotel, we were very satisfied.  We only limited our time in Key West for one evening but are so glad that a friend of ours recommended your establishment.  From the front desk registrar, Matthew, who was very kind and knowledgeable of the area to the pleasant personalities of your custodians and grounds keepers.    The room was very clean and inviting however it would have been nice to have a small microwave. The pool area was very nice and the Mojito’s were the best I’ve ever had….and believe me, I’ve had quite a few, lol.  The location is perfect and is within walking distance of everything, which is what we liked the most.  Thanks for making our stay in Key West a pleasant one.  If we can ever get the chance to come to Key West again, we will definitely stay at the Lighthouse Court.  We will definitely recommend your hotel to any we know that plan to visit Key West.  Thank you!!

We stay for two nights over the past weekend and everything was great.  Location was perfect but your staff was the best contribution to our trip.  Robbie at the front desk was so sweet and helpful and really went out of her way to make sure we felt welcome.  Thanks Robbie!  We will be back soon!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  The property was well-maintained and the staff was very courteous. One front desk attendant in particular, Robbie, was very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable of the area.  She also recommended that we dine at Michael’s, at which we had a wonderful, romantic dinner.  We will visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse Court! The pool and bar area is fun and nice. The walk to Duval is only a few minutes and it’s nice to be a little off the main street anyway.

Our room was not as desirable as other rooms – the door had a big window for light, it backed up against the front office, and the shower was small.  One improvement recommended to the room: the bathroom could use a shelf / small table to hold toiletries and curling iron, etc.

However, the room was clean and comfortable, and we had a great stay. The hotel also provides clean beach towels in your room everyday.

This was an interesting stay in that we were going to stay with you longer, but we were with family that were determined to rent a house. There’s no way we could go to Key West and not stay with you! So even though we had a house on Washington, we still stayed with you on Friday, the 13th. That’s how much we love Lighthouse Court! Bryan at check-in was great (as were all front desk staff) and it’s always a treat to see Peter at the bar. I think we’ve been there enough times now that Peter knows us when we walk in. Let me tell you, that’s a nice feeling. He’s good. Since we were only there the one night, we didn’t have much interaction with the maid staff. But I do remember that they smiled and said Hello every time we saw them. And they all seemed to love our daughter.

We’d never stayed in E4 before, but found it to be a delightful room. We’ve stayed all over (including the Hemingway suite) and still think F1 is our favorite. We just love that morning view and porch.

We ate at all our favorite haunts (Santiago’s Bodega, Blue Heaven, Salute!, Amigos, Kellys, Banana Cafe). None disappointed.

Two more notes about just how awesome Lighthouse Court is.

1. Even though we were in a rental house the rest of the week, we were still invited back to swim and have cocktails at the pool. Very cool of you.

2. We always meet the other guests and find them to be just as friendly.

Thanks again. We hope to see you again soon.

The Lighthouse Court was a perfect place for us to stay at! We’ve stayed at this hotel twice. The office staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is one block away from Duval and mid way between Mallory Square and the Southernmost point. The cottages are cute and very nice. Our large party often met out by the pool for cocktails from the bar.

We enjoyed our stay at Lighthouse Court immensely.   We felt it was so integral to the entire romantic setting of our visit to Key West. Maria was absolutely a delight to us, and helped us find bike rentals and parking (tough job, lol).

We will most definitely stay at Lighthouse Court again in the future.  Everything was perfectly romantic.

Thank you for being part of our special vacation.

Sincerely,

Kathi Wilkinson and Dr. Vjekoslav Dekaris
