Loved my 2 nights stay at Merlin’s Guest House. The place is beautifully renovated, great taste and charming.
Very convenient and central, easy walking access all around the old city of Key West as well as a private parking to leave the car. The attention was very pleasant and professional.

I would have loved more variety for breakfast with different kinds of breads and jelly, a choice of natural juices or fruits, eggs, cheese and ham.

In my room the AC unit is just above the bed head…a little noisy at night to sleep!

Overall very happy with my stay in your place, has been a wonderful one.

Would love to come back any time! I really will recommend the Merlin Guest House.

My fiancee and I felt at home here. This place is quiet and relaxing with clean rooms, nice decoration and friendly staff, the hotel is within walking distance of the historic sites and Duval Street. The pool and breakfast area was relaxing and our room was convenient located. We would return here.

We popped into the Key Lime Inn looking for a room, and since they were booked,  they sent us to their Merlin Guest House.  Kenneth was so accommodating and kind.  We stayed in one of the front guest rooms, and then got moved to a one bedroom cottage for our second night, which was lovely.  We would definitely recommend staying at this great convenient spot!

This was our second stay at the Merlin Guest House. Love this place. The rooms are well equipped and the grounds are exactly what Key West is all about. Lush greenery, a pool and a cat who is king. Kenneth checked us in and out both times. He is wonderful and was very helpful. Can’t think of a bad thing about this place with the exception of we didn’t stay longer.

This is our second time staying in one of the Historic Key West Inns hotels.  We first stayed at the Lighthouse Court Hotel, which was nice and convenient, however, our room at their Merlin Guest House was even nicer!  It was our 30th anniversary and we stayed in Room 11 which was very large and accommodating.  Each morning we looked forward to having breakfast under the trees outside.  There was always enough for everyone and the staff always replenished any empties.  Duval Street is a block away and everything else is within walking distance.  Get a great pair of walking shoes and be ready for fun, big fun! I am anxious to return and once again be greeted by Kenneth, who was very welcoming.

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Merlin Guest House and loved it!  Michelle was very kind during check-in.  Kenneth had such a positive presence on the property during our stay.  The room is functional – the pool area was wonderful for breakfast and afternoon relaxing.  The Merlin Guest House is an easy walk to Duval Street but was a quiet place to return to for the night.  We would definitely return on future trips to Key West.

The Merlin Guest House was a great location only a few blocks away from the main night events at Duval Street. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. I loved the look of the place, it seemed quiet and peaceful. The staff was always very accommodating and friendly. I wish that the $10 parking was included in the booking fee for the night, but regardless, I had a wonderful experience at the hotel.

We flew down to Key West for a quick visit in April. Gulf Coast Airways flies from Naples Municipal to Key West in 35 minutes, and Linda had us checked into our wonderful 2-bedroom cottage at the Merlin Guest House exactly 1 hour after we left Naples!  The cottage had everything we could have needed and it was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy and cozy and we had room to spread out a bit.

Linda pointed us in the direction of lunch at Caroline’s, just a short stroll from our Key Lime Bike Tour.  She was right—fresh, delicious and the drinks were icy cold. After our bike tour, we headed back to Merlin Guest House to relax and shower before dinner at Louie’s.  Linda was off, but her lovely colleague got us a cab and waved us off for a great outdoor dining experience. The next day, we had a delicious breakfast in the guest house garden and dropped our bags at the desk while we headed out for some water adventures.  By the end of the afternoon, we needed a cool place to relax, and we were welcomed warmly by the staff at Merlin Guest House.  Relax by the pool, she said.  Have an iced tea, she offered with a smile.  I’ll call you a cab in a half hour!  And so we did.

Perfectly located a long block off Duval, clean and inviting, Merlin is a great home base in Key West.  We will definitely return.  Maybe we’ll see you there!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Merlin Guest House.  The place is situated 1 block from Duval and the garden courtyard makes you feel like you are in an oasis.  The room was beautiful and we loved having our own little porch.  I would have liked to learn a little more about the history of the building and it would be nice to have a different variety for breakfast each day, but other than that our stay was perfect.  I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West. Thank you.

We spent 4 great nights in Key West and the Merlin Guest House was perfect for our first visit to the Keys. The hotel has the flavor of an upscale B&B without the upscale pricing. For the dollars spent the quality of accommodation was very good for Key West. The bed was comfortable, the staff was friendly and their recommendations for dinners and activities hit the mark every time. The best part was the central location of the hotel that made it extremely easy to get to any place we wanted to go. We just parked our car in their private lot and forgot about it and the traffic for 4 days! This hotel was recommended by our nephew and we plan to recommend it to anyone who is headed to the Keys.
