My husband had to come to KW for work so I tagged along. I was really surprised when I walked in and saw that our room was small but I was happy about how clean everything was. We stayed 2 nights and realized that a cozy room was just fine. We stayed out and about all day so we didn’t need more space in the room. There is no closet but a nice hook on the wall where we hung our things which was fine. The pool is small, adds to the atmosphere and cool off if necessary. It is nice breakfast is offered ( toast, cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, oj etc). We sat in the area with table and chairs by the pool one afternoon and used the wifi and both did some work. There are a couple of bike rental places within walking distance and a bike rack at the guesthouse. We had fun exploring KW on bikes. The staff was very friendly.

Side note – We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Heaven. We were seated at an adorable spot under a giant tree with great blue lights around. Later we were told it is the honeymoon table (we have been married 23 years) We felt like honeymooners here. Our dinner was delicious and our server was great. She told us some history about the place and gave us accurate dinner suggestions. We can’t wait to go back

Overall, The Merlin Guesthouse was a great place to get away for a couple of days.

Our experience at Merlin Guesthouse a wonderful.  The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and most helpful.  Our room was lovely, very clean and comfortable.  We loved having our morning coffee on the deck! We would definitely stay there again.

We were in Marathon lobstering but decided to stay one night in Key West. Our room was very clean. The bed was 4 post and very comfortable. Beautiful old wood floors and beams in ceiling.  Although two blocks from Duval, was very tropical, lush and quiet.

I would like to recognize Linda and the housekeeping staff at the Merlin Guesthouse for their exceptional customer service. On a recent stay, several items were left in the room. Without my inquiry, the staff recovered these items and Linda sent me an email indicating that the items were being held and would arrange shipping with me. Although I did not wish to have the items returned, I do appreciate their effort. If the hotel I stayed at in Vegas this past summer had the same level of customer service your staff does, I may still have my pair of sunglasses I left in their room.

I had a great time at Fantasy Fest.  I usually arrive to watch the Powerboat Races. I have stayed at the Key Lime Inn last year and the Chelsea House the year before. Your Inns are beautiful.

I had the master suite room 13 it was great, comfortable, roomy and clean. I am pleased with all of your inns that I have stayed at. They have that Key West charm. Look forward to next year. See you again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  The staff was great. Linda gave good advice, and told us where to get scooters.. which was just down the same street. Ken..(I hope that’s right) was a pleasure on the morning. We loved how quiet it  was and such a close walk to Duval.  Blue Heaven had a great Sunday brunch. Duettos had the best pizza, La Trattoria  great Italian,  but the nest kept secret was Better  than Sex… which is conveniently  down the street from you.  Great time all around.. we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay…your staff was great…the facility was wonderful and well maintained…the breakfast was lovely and the service was grand…we would certainly recommend you to our friends…we enjoyed eating at Pepe’s Cafe, B O’s and, again Pepe’s outside bar the second time…we were only in town for three days and two nights, but did all the museums and had access to the conch train and the off on trolley rides which overlapped one day…the weather was divine as the humidity dropped the day we arrived on October17 and returned via the Ft. Meyers boat trip on the 19…we will stay with you should we return again and definitely recommend you to others…keep up your high standards.

We loved the helpful and friendly staff at the Merlin Guesthouse.  They were helpful with ideas for things to do around the city.  Our room was very comfortable–we had a suite with a sofa.  It was super clean with fridge and TV.  The bathroom is small but functional and clean.  We loved the pool/courtyard.

Excellent location in the island.  Central and easy to get anywhere!  We would stay here again.

King rooms are worth the extra $$’s, much larger than queen. Really well appointed, great linens, towels & decor.  Lovely continental breakfast served poolside, (just wish it was a little earlier than 8.00a.m.)!! Really good upkeep on grounds by staff, as well as room, attendence. Will certainly return!
