My boyfriend and I stayed here with a couple of our friends and it was probably the best hotel I’ve stayed at in the Keys!  Very clean rooms with plenty of space.  Staff is super friendly.  The patio/pool area is very calming.  The pool is small but it makes for a more intimate time with friends.  And who doesn’t love Jordan del Gato, the nicest cat in the world!  I had a great experience here and will for sure be coming back soon and recommending to my friends!

We walked around and checked out a few places around this area and this was the first place we stopped that impressed us. It was perfect. Nice room, nice staff, quiet atmosphere. Very homey, welcoming feel compared to traditional hotels. The pool is kept cool and it is very refreshing in the hot afternoon when every other pool is like bathwater in August in Key West. Breakfast by the pool in the morning was great. Kenneth was running the house when we were staying there and he just couldn’t have been any nicer.

Thanks Merlin Guesthouse. We will be back. Can’t wait to try another of their Historic Key West Inns!

For the second year in a row we stay at the Merlin Guesthouse the weekend of lobster season.  Our room is always ready and clean and the staff is more than happy to help when needed.

Thank you for another nice stay.  We will see you in about 51 weeks :)

Want to thank Merlin Guesthouse for a wonderful stay… Very romantic room (nr13), just next to pool, breakfast poolside, just one street away from Duval street… Highly recommended

We stayed in cottage #18. It would be cool if they had a bigger bedside table for the clocks, keys, cell phones, etc… other than that it was top-notch.

The continental breakfast was adequate – with bagels, muffins, assorted breads, yogurts, apples and coffees/orange juice.

The staff was friendly and accommodating,

Staying here, you’re smack in the middle of town with a 1-block walk to Duval. For the features and the space – y0u can’t beat it.

It was very private and quiet while still being close to anything you want to go do.

We highly recommend it.

This place is awesome. Location is perfect – just couple blocks away from Duval street. Rooms are very nice, containing the traditional flavor of local architecture. Staff was very friendly. Entire property is very well maintained, and this was by far the best experience my wife and I had in Key West after visiting the town for the last 7 years.

Our room needed a larger table to put stuff on, other than that, it was a lovely room.

My boyfriend and I took a mini vacation down to Key West  and had the privilege of staying at the Merlin Guesthouse. When I made the reservations I had an extensive conversation with Adam, who was BEYOND helpful and even suggested this specific property for us after learning about what we wanted to experience in Key West. We were both born and raised in Florida and have experienced Key West many times in many different ways, but this was by far one of the best.

We stayed in the King Suite– which was more than spacious and had a nice seating area instead of just the large bed and oversized bathroom– which is key when being a girl who tends to take a lot of time to get ready. :). The property was beautiful and quiet and centrally located to everything.. We rented a scooter 1 block away and the closeness to the Merlin made it easy for us to pick up and drop off. We also walked around the last day and it was so nice to be so close to everything, yet you couldn’t hear any of the craziness from Duval Street.

The accommodations and staff were extremely friendly and beyond our expectations. We will absolutely stay here again.. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was perfect!! Delicious coffee and healthy options, including Activia yogurt and healthy Kashi cereal — -a lite bite to start your day off right!  :)

Thank you for a wonderful experience and we can’t wait for our next visit!!

This was the first time staying at Merlin Guesthouse, we stayed at Albury Court last year and it was very nice. The pool was kind of small, not enough sunlight, but all in all was nice. The pool at Merlin Guesthouse was better, lots of sun, temp of water could be cooler…believe me I’m not picking, we would definitely stay there again and planning on it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Don’t know the man’s name that works there but he rides a white Harley, very nice! Spoke to us every day!

Thanks for the hospitality! We love Key West and the people are great! Hoping 1 day to call it home :)
