The location on Simonton is great just one block away from Duval and short distance to Truman. We stayed 3 nights and had only 1 where some other guests were a little loud with their issue but I don’t think that is normal for this place. The people working there were very friendly and made our reservation for a cab very early in the morning to the airport. The room was a cute and non-traditional as we expect and fun and clean every day. The pool is small so if you expect big, don’t be surprised. The pool area and garden with tables where you can eat a light breakfast is beautiful. We have also had our Uncle stay at their Chelsea House Hotel so we may choose it or this one next time.

We had a great time in the Keys and most of the fun was at the Merlin Guesthouse.   From check in to check out, the staff at Merlin were wonderful. A special shout out to Kenneth. He was very knowledgeable about the area and his suggestions of food and activities were prefect.  My wife loved Jordon the cat and has friended him on Facebook. The chilled pool was my favorite. We will be back soon. Thanks

The Merlin Guesthouse exceeded my expectations. The staff was unbelievably hospitable and helpful, the rooms and the hotel itself was clean and very nice, everything was well kept and maintained. Would actually look forward to going back to the hotel room. Definitely will be staying at the Merlin Guesthouse in the future.

From the moment Janice picked up the phone to take my reservation till even today at my desk, my thoughts and strive for serenity comes from the experience i had at Merlins was exceptional. I stayed there over 35 yrs ago and found it still the charming, pleasant, well located enchanting hideaway it was then. You know you don’t remember the place as much as the time, well this place is designed to remember the time better each time you come. The managers are approachable and hip as if they all are artists of some grand scheme to capture zen in a bottle at Merlins. Congratulations and i can’t  wait to come back and have some more tea at the pool and absorb the energy.

My wife and I stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse for our Anniversary last week.  We were very impressed and very happy with our stay.  We checked in with Lee and Kenneth.  Both were EXTREMELY helpful!!  We had originally booked for one night.  After a extremely long day of driving (did not realize it would take us so long to get to KW), there was no way we were going to get to see anything of what we had planned.  So when my wife checked us in, Lee and Kenneth were able to find us another room, upgrade us, and gave us the same price we had paid for the first night.  They certainly did not have to do this and we were so appreciative.  When we got into our room, it was warm.  We knew if was the heat of the day, but it was cool in the room.  We went back to the office to talk with Lee.  We did not want to complain since Lee had been so helpful and accommodating, but the room was just too warm.  She said ‘we’ll take care of it’…it will be fixed before you return!  Wow!  And it was!!  We we returned later that evening, the air was cold when we went into the room.  We ended up staying the 2 nights and were able to relax, knowing that we had more time to see everything.  We knew breakfast was included, but what was offered exceeded our expectations.  A nice array of breakfast items were available to choose from…started our day off perfectly.  In the afternoon, when it got to be just too hot, we headed back to the Guesthouse to swim.  Even with 22 rooms…we rarely saw other people.  And so, we had the swimming pool to ourselves.  And we were pleasantly surpirsed with ice tea under the pergola.   The Merlin Guesthouse is in the perfect location too.  1 block from Duval street and pretty much right in the middle of town.  We will definitely be back and we will recommend the Merlin Guesthouse to our friends and family.  Thank you for making our Anniversary trip a very memorable one.

The Merlin Guesthouse was very cozy and peaceful, considering it was the 4th of July weekend that we stayed there. It was within walking distance to all the attractions. We stayed in the King room suite and I would highly recommend this place and will stay there again.

While researching places to stay I did a lot of homework and stumbled on the Merlin Guesthouse.  The location was perfect, the room beautiful and the place kept clean.   I asked for help with local recommendations and got just the perfect insight from staff.   We could not have been more pleased.  The Conti’s  from Orlando….highly recommend.  I only hope we can visit more often.

This was our first visit to Key West, so we really didn’t know what to expect.  We made our reservation after finding Merlin Guesthouse on the internet.

The check-in/check-out process was so easy! The staff was very competent and professional.  The grounds were just beautiful and so well kept.  Merlin Guesthouse was a perfect choice for us. Next time we would love to stay longer.
