I really enjoyed my stay and wanted to stay longer.  Both the office managers were very helpful and friendly as well as everyone I encountered on my trip.  My favorite excursion was my snorkeling/ocean kayaking trip.  Had the weather been nicer I would have spent more time on the water; but, I’m not complaining!  I have recommended your hotel to my friends.

The only criticism I have is that the TV was mounted flush to the wall, which made the screen too dark to see the picture while either sitting or lying on the bed.  I found it frustrating.

My husband & I  just left the Merlin Guesthouse yesterday after a 3 night stay with 4 other couples. Each room is unique & clean & gorgeous; loved the fridge; loved the pool, all of the places to enjoy the outdoors; the breakfast outdoors, the location (walked everywhere) & everyone at the Merlin Guesthouse was so friendly & so so accommodating. I would recommend the place to anyone heading to Key West. If we return to Key West we will absolutely stay at the Merlin. Thanks so much!!

This is our 3rd or 4th time to stay at Merlin Guesthouse.  The location is perfect –not to close to the noise, not too far from the fun at either end of Duval.  The rooms are clean, the staff is great, and we enjoy the relaxing breakfast.

One SNAFU.  There were three of us using the cottage with the pull-out sofa.  We were not told (until we were leaving) that there was a pad that we could have gotten to put on top of the uncomfortable mattress (which was more like a box spring).

We had a king suite, room 22, which was in the very back of the property. The room was very large with nice, upgraded tile floors and a kitchenette area with a small modern fridge, and stone tile bath. We had absolutely no issue with street or neighbor noise. The location is excellent – just one block off Duval. You can walk everywhere. We walked to the famous Blue Heaven for brunch just up the same block, but I did go see what was out for breakfast – big muffins, breads, yogurts, fruit, hard boiled eggs…it was displayed attractively too. I didn’t try to connect to wi-fi so I can’t comment on that, although the front desk will tell you that it only works in the common areas. Every room is different here. The queen room is small, no frills, but clean. The one-bedroom suite is quite lovely with a full kitchen, big table, etc. Nice for a family. Not many guest houses are kid-friendly – this one is. I had my child with me and we were totally comfortable and felt very welcome. The only downside is parking is on the street. If you can’t find parking, they can direct you to the city garage.

From our initial check in with Kenneth to our check out, everything at the Merlin Guesthouse was perfect…great employees, clean and well appointed room, great continental breakfast. Even the house cat Jordan was a pleasure.

Thanks for the extraordinary service!

Excellent and extremely friendly personnel (especially Kenneth and the elder Lady whom I do not remember the name) and service, nice pool. Cool heater and fridge quite loud and noticable in Cottage 15.

Dear Julia and staff,

This was the first trip for my girlfriend to Key West and it was a memorable one. I asked her to marry me while vacationing there. The staff, in particular (Linda) was outstanding. When our Ferry back to Ft. Myers was canceled she called my cell phone directly to let me know and made arrangements at a discounted price for us to stay another night. This is HUGE customer service that seems to have disappeared with the times. I appreciated it immensely. The facility was clean, breakfast was very pleasant and other guest were polite and kind. The only suggestion that I believe customers looking to stay there is that rooms 1-6 are located on a main road and the noise is a bit much. Other than that our stay was incredible and we are happy to announce that thanks to our friends Alexis and Charla over at the Floridays we are engaged to be married!

Last year I stayed at Albury Court and was impressed with their facilities as well. I would recommend all of the Historic Key West Inns to friends and family. Thanks for a memorable stay.

My wife and I had a 3 day getaway and stayed in room 16. The room, amenities,  and staff were great. We will definitely be visiting again!

My wife and I had never been to Key West before but after the experience we had at the Merlin Guesthouse we are DEFINITELY coming back!

The staff were amazing (Linda at the front desk was very sweet), the room was perfect and the relaxation we achieved laying by the pool was top notch! And they even have an amazing mascot/pet/inn cat named Jordan del Gato, who we are pretty sure is Ernest Hemingway reincarnated.

Do yourself a favor and stay here when in Key West.
