My husband, brother and sister-in-law stayed in the 2bedroom guest cottage (#19) for an overnight in early December.

The unit was extremely clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable.  The little outdoor patio area was a plus, as was the quick walk to Duval St.

Our check-in and check-out was efficient and pleasant.  The people who we spoke to gave us lots of information and help getting around.

The pool was a wonderful plus and we welcomed it after the walk from the Key West Express dock.

The continental breakfast was delicious!

We would come and stay again and would recommend  it to friends and family.

Thanks Merlin Guesthouse for a wonderful stay in Key West!

Our family stayed in room 15. The room was huge!!! A full service kitchen that was a delight for a family! One quick block from Duval Street and really clean! The small pool was a bit cold, but refreshing after a long hot summer day! The continental breakfast was ok, but terrific strong coffee! Jordan the cat was our adopted cat for the stay and the decor of the room was modern and fresh! We were delighted and will definitely stay again!

This was our first time to Key West, we went for our honeymoon, and this was a wonderful bed and breakfast! We only stayed for one night before heading to Marathon, and Lee was awesome! After learning we were on our honeymoon she upgraded us to a nice little “suite”, room #16. It was beautiful and very secluded, we enjoyed a dip in the pool after a night on Duval St. (even though we were in the middle of town, with all the palm trees surrounding us it was a very tropical feeling!), and a nice little breakfast in the morning. It is only a block away from Duval St and with parking hard to find we could walk everywhere! We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Florida Keys!! Thanks again Lee!!

A group of us stayed here last weekend for a birthday celebration. This place was much more than I expected. We had a King suite room (#16) and the room was beautiful. Clean, looked newly renovated, had a leather couch, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and two air conditioners, and a private porch with tables and chairs. King bed was extremely comfortable. It was less than 2 blocks from Duval street so it was close enough but quiet at the guesthouse. They have a nice continental breakfast in the garden area by the pool. They don’t rush you out if you come down late. As long as people are still eating they will leave it open. Staff was very friendly. The only complaint I would have is bathroom was a little small and the stairs to get to that room.

We chose this guesthouse based on reviews we read for our 2nd anniversary. Everyone was attentive and kind. Ken was a pleasure in the mornings. Linda was perfect and wonderful for advice on places to go. Quaint, quiet and only a block off Duval. Perfect place to choose.

The hotel was great. It was clean. The location was great. We walked everywhere. Free parking on the side of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. Kenneth was working on our last day. He made us feel like at home. I will most definitive come back to the Merlin Guesthouse.

There were seven in our party staying in two different rooms, nineteen (19) and twenty one (21) respectively. The accommodations were very well received. Elegant and very well appointed. The rooms were available in a reasonable time frame and the staff was more than accommodating. We have been staying with your organization for five (5) or more years. I tend to forget how fast time passes these days. We will be back next year either at the Merlin Guesthouse or the Chelsea House, which we’ve stayed for several years.

Have a great year and we’ll see you next year.

My husband had to come to KW for work so I tagged along. I was really surprised when I walked in and saw that our room was small but I was happy about how clean everything was. We stayed 2 nights and realized that a cozy room was just fine. We stayed out and about all day so we didn’t need more space in the room. There is no closet but a nice hook on the wall where we hung our things which was fine. The pool is small, adds to the atmosphere and cool off if necessary. It is nice breakfast is offered ( toast, cereal, yogurt, pastries, coffee, oj etc). We sat in the area with table and chairs by the pool one afternoon and used the wifi and both did some work. There are a couple of bike rental places within walking distance and a bike rack at the guesthouse. We had fun exploring KW on bikes. The staff was very friendly.

Side note – We had a fantastic dinner at Blue Heaven. We were seated at an adorable spot under a giant tree with great blue lights around. Later we were told it is the honeymoon table (we have been married 23 years) We felt like honeymooners here. Our dinner was delicious and our server was great. She told us some history about the place and gave us accurate dinner suggestions. We can’t wait to go back

Overall, The Merlin Guesthouse was a great place to get away for a couple of days.
