Kenneth was an amazing host, since my friend and I got to the Guesthouse…He even came with me to help me find parking for my car.

The rooms are beautifully furnished and very, very comfortable.

Another PLUS is location. It is very close to Duval St, yet in a quiet street. It couldn’t have been a better stay.

I will be returning now in June and hopefully every month there after!

See you soon,

Christian Safie

Loved our stay at the Merlin Guesthouse located in the Historic District of Key West centrally located. Parking available a plus. The Merlin Guesthouse is a historic Inn with their rooms updated and comfortable. Quaint original big floor boards with a clean modern/minimalist design to the room. Beautiful gardens with a Jacuzzi/pool and coy fish pond in the center where a delicious continental breakfast is served every morning. Staff couldn’t have been more friendlier and helpful. The manager Linda went out of her way to help us with a airplane reservation nightmare and sent some helpful emails.

It was our first time in Key West – what a treasure and the staff at the Merlin Guesthouse (Kenneth and Linda) were welcoming and made it feel like coming home. We had planned on only staying one night but in the morning just knew we had to stay another night – luckily there was still room at the hotel.  Everything was amazing – the hospitality and location were unbeatable.  We have already started planning a get away with a group of friends and can’t imagine staying anywhere else.  Looking forward to our next visit to the Merlin Guesthouse and our new friend Jordan Del Gatto.

From the moment we booked the room we made a call and advised the front desk we would be doing a late check in around 10 PM. We received a comforting and assuring email in response regarding our room and what the steps would be since the office closed at 10 PM. Since the moment we walked in we were sure we were in for a real treat. The hotel is beautiful and so peaceful! We originally booked our room from Friday 5/22-Sunday 5/24. On Saturday we just couldn’t resist and decided we wanted to book an extra night. We stepped into the office and spoke to Linda who was of great help from the get-go! She managed to get us a bigger room with a king size bed for the same rate we paid the 2 previous nights which was amazing! We loved coming out by the pool for breakfast every morning and enjoying the delicious food and breeze. During the day we also loved the fact that we had pool towels available and tea to drink as we liked. On Sunday we asked Kenneth to turn down the pool temperature and he was also of great help. All staff we came across were extremely friendly and caring. All made sure our needs were met. Kenneth also guided us as to where we could go for dinner. I would definitely recommend the hotel to all my friends and family. We can’t wait to go back and really hope we can win!

My husband and I stayed at Merlin Guesthouse for two nights in May 2015 and we were not disappointed at all! Our room was super cute, just like the photo gallery showed, and it was CLEAN! Breakfast was available by the pool in the morning and flavored tea in the afternoon. And the pool was great as well, we spent one afternoon laying by the pool, it was so quiet and relaxing. Duval is literally a block over, so it was easy to walk over to find things to do and places to eat. Also I would like to recommend: Havana on Duval for breakfast, amazing breakfast potatoes and French toast, and you can’t beat Cuban coffee. AND Conch Republic for their fish sandwich and mojitos. Love Key West!!!!! And we will definitely stay at Merlin Guesthouse again!

What a great place to stay for our first visit to Key West. The staff was wonderful and each took time to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.  Parking was not an issue and with such a great location we were able to walk everywhere. We will be staying at the Merlin Guesthouse again the next time we visit.

This is the third time that we have stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse. Each time it gets better and better. Fantastic location, close to all the attractions, incredible rooms, laid back and cozy. The staff was tremendous, were able to answer all of our questions and suggest great attractions and places to eat and relax. I can honestly say that we will be back again and have recommended this location to all of our friends.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, there isn’t much they won’t do for you, if they hadn’t done it just ask. The Merlin Guesthouse is clean and pleasant, very relaxing, and close to Duval St.

I stayed here the week prior to Memorial Day. I generally do not stay so close to Duval but upon a friends recommendation booked online. Merlin Guesthouse location could not be more perfect in location right around the corner from Hemingway house and the lighthouse. Just a few blocks from Mel fisher museum and arts and history museum. A few blocks another direction I’m in the pier where all my snorkeling, jet ski, and parasailing activities were. Last but not least one block off Duval. I walked everywhere on this trip I feel like I got to see so much more just based on the central location.

The room itself was perfect the bed was very comfortable, spotless, just a great place to go back to after all day out and about! I particularly love the traditions of the house they kept rafter ceilings, true hardwood floors I love the character just adorable. I stayed in a standard queen room and was very impressed. One evening I returned and enjoyed the pool in the very private secluded courtyard.

Right accross the street was deuces off the hook grill  it is a quaint place across the street with 2for1 mimosas the food and wine I had there was great!

I will be back very soon!
