We’ve stayed for 2 nights at Merlin Guesthouse and had a fantastic time there. The hotel only is a block away from Duval Street. The staff was very nice, especially Kenneth who knows a lot about Key West and gives plenty of useful advices. We’ve stayed in room Nr. 5 which is small but comfortable and clean. We’d recommend this hotel to our friends and certainly consider to stay there next time we’ll going to Key West.

My wife and I stayed at the Merlin Guesthouse for our anniversary this year. We had an outstanding time.

The room we had was great. It has lots of character and was quite in spite of being directly next to another room. We loved the deck. It gave us the ability to people watch from our door step. The atmosphere of the pool and gathering area was outstanding. We loved the continental breakfast too.

We where a little surprised that there was no closet, but it really didn’t phase us. Parking was a little difficult at first, but we did find some parking on the back street behind the Inn.

Our stay at the Merlin Guesthouse was more than could be expected. All the amenities were way above anywhere we’ve stayed at before. The location was perfectly located to all the fun hot spots.  We will from now on stay at the Merlin Guesthouse.

I have to stay in Key West about every 3-4 months for business purposes. For my most recent trip, I booked my one night stay at the Merlin Guesthouse. I found the property to very nice, clean and comfortable. The staff was very welcoming upon check-in and very helpful in answering questions. I was even “upgraded” from Queen accommodations to King. This a great spot to stay if you plan on visiting Duval street, as it is only a short (one block) walk away. There is free wi-fi and complimentary breakfast (although i did not partake) included.

The only negative, was parking was very limited at the property itself. But, the staff member (think her name was Lee??) did make a point of showing me where I could park on the adjoining streets and even moved her car, freeing up a space on the street by the Merlin Guesthouse.

Overall, I would definitely return here on my next trip to Key West.

Our stay at Merlin Guesthouse was definitely a pleasure!  The staff was helpful and friendly.  The property was clean and well maintained.  The continental breakfast was fresh and tasty.

A special thanks to Cathy, the reservationist, for the extra help she gave us in reserving our room.

We won’t hesitate to recommend Historic Key West Inns, Merlin Guesthouse in particular, to our friends.

Thanks for everything!

The Judge family

My husband and I had a fantastic time in Key West and we can contribute it mostly to the Merlin Guesthouse!  As soon as we arrived the checkin was fast and easy and the lady helping us was very helpful in giving us a good recommendation for a scooter rental. She also gave us a fantastic recommendation for a restaurant, Nine One Five, which the food there was so good! We loved our room. It was quaint and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. The whole look and feel of the guesthouse is exactly what we were looking for, for our stay. We also loved the overall location. Just being one block from Duval Street is great!  The complimentary breakfast was delicious and not typical items you would get at some chain hotel. My husband and I will definitely be back to Merlin Guesthouse and we will recommend it to anyone! Thank you so much for the wonderful stay!

The staff was amazingly friendly, and only a block away from Duval street was great. I also really enjoyed the pool with jacuzzi jets and the outdoor continental breakfast. The only hiccup was that one outlet in the room was a little old so 2 prong plugs were loose and kept falling out.

The check-in was not only seamless, the man at the front desk actually walked me out to the car to show me where to park and offered plenty of suggestions for restaurants and tours during our stay.  The inn is adorable-  the rooms are clean, updated and quaint and ours had a beautiful four-post bed.  The breakfast and jetted-pool are a great touch, and the other guests were really nice to chat with.  Duval is a couple of blocks away so the location is perfect–centrally located and yet tucked far enough back that it’s not noisy at night.  We will definitely be back!

Hi,
I am so happy to have a chance to write a review regarding our recent vacation to the Merlin Guesthouse.  Our stay was for seven days and what a glorious seven days it was!  We were delighted with the friendliness of the Merlin staff.  They were always helpful and wanted to make sure we were always having a good time.  Merlin Guesthouse was the perfect setting for a “Key West” vacation.  Our room was very open and bright and well maintained.  The breakfast every morning around the pool always started our day off on a relaxed, casual note.  I can’t wait to come back to the Merlin Guesthouse.  It was the best vacation I have ever been on.
