Merlin Guesthouse
We had a wonderful stay at the Merlin Guesthouse. Our first room #18 was spacious with a full kitchen including all appliances. It was beautifully appointed and spotless with a king sized bed. Great room. We decided to stay an extra night and were given another room #13 which overlooked the pool. What a lovely room!! We loved the private deck! We had a great experience with the other guests at the hotel. We met and had long conversations with several couples who were staying there, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We are hoping to come back next April or May and experience it again. Loved this place and their sister property The Lighthouse. We were given a coupon for a free drink there and enjoyed it very much. The people running and working for both properties couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating to us. Thank you for a wonderful Key West experience!!

We enjoyed all the shops and the sunset celebration. At the south end of Duval is a great butterfly conservatory and I would say that was our favorite experience at Key West. We hoped to enjoy the Key West food tasting event, however we found it to be way too congested with few places to sit. We had wonderful food, however with so few tables, everyone had to stand and eat almost elbow to elbow. We left the event after our first tasting.

Wonderful location – Very friendly and helpful staff! Rooms were very comfortable. Only drawback -parking. We were lucky to use one of the two spots out back, but we were afraid to use the car in case we lost the space. We did know before arrival that there was only street parking. Maybe Merlin guests could park at one of your other properties nearby? Just a thought. Otherwise – we really loved Merlin!

We were pleasantly surprised with Camille’s – located on 1202 Simonton Street. The food was terrific. We enjoyed a lovely lunch – try the soup of the day! We also had the Chicken Salad. Another great spot was Luigi’s – 521 Fleming Street Key West, FL 33040 – the food was excellent. Of course – one has to try the Key Lime Pie – Key West Key Lime Pie Co.

The crews at Fury Water Adventures were fantastic, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We participated in the scuba diving and jet ski adventure. The Key West Butterfly and Nature Conservatory – 1316 Duvall Street is a must. We also enjoyed the guided tours – we took the Ghost Tour and the Trolley Tour. This was a great way to hear of the history of the island and site see at the same time. Wish we had more time to visit the museums – we ran out of time – so much to do!
