I had a couple weeks of vacation to use and already had plans to visit friends in North Carolina, and head for the coast from there. I was thinking the outer banks, I wanted to be by the ocean for a few days…well hurricane Juacin totaled those plans along with much of the Carolina coast I quess…so what to do? I don’t remember exactly how I ended up calling the Albury Court..I just picked it out and called the 800 number and talked to a guy named Rod…he was great. Really gave me a lot of info about their Historic Key West Inns hotels and info about Key West in general.
I had booked a flight and a car and luckily I talked with him, and was able to cancel the car and save some cash…I had no idea all I would need was a bike to get around. I told him I what I was looking for was a more quiet setting to get away from work and wasn’t into the night life and he recommended their Albury Court Hotel. My room was just right really, very clean and comfortable…I wish I could bring the bed home with me actually…I’m looking into buying a memory foam mattress now.
I gotta put in a good word for Jim and the lady with the big smile…I don’t recall her name at the front desk. They made me feel at home, and were so nice… Jim helped me get copies of some paperwork I needed…and arranged for my cab ride to the airport on the day I left…good people!
Good Coffee in the morning…pretty good breakfast, pool was clean and the fresh towels were awesome. My room was well taken care of each day…I really don’t have anything negative to say about my stay except it wasn’t long enough.
