Really enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House Hotel, such a great location only one block from Duval St. After stepping onto the property, you instantly feel relaxed and away from the bustle of Duval St, the pool area is great to relax and our room had a nice deck with lounge chairs right in front of it which, even though it was for all guests, felt like our own private deck.
Check in was quick and easy, the front desk receptionist personally walked us to our room after a brief tour of the property, a very nice touch.
The property is very close to everything, we had a fantastic breakfast at Les Chefs de France, the seafood eggs Benedict was out of this world.
The room was very comfortable, you could sense and history of the old house with its wooden floor boards and old Key West charm but the bedding was 4 Star and very comfortable. Air conditioning was ice cold, if also somewhat loud, but not that noticeable. The AC also had a remote control and lots of settings which was nice. The room also had a refrigerator and safe (safe is a bit too small to fit a laptop, but valuables and tablets should probably fit). I did like that the lamps on each night stand had to electric outlet ports built in, allowed us to charge our phones st night and keep them close. The one chair in the room really didn’t serve a purpose, it was small and not really to be used to relax, something a bit more inviting and comfortable could probably fit in the spot it was in and get more use.
Loved the skylight in the bathroom, and the rain shower head.
Would definitely recommend and stay at the Cypress House Hotel or one of its sister properties on my next visit.By: Chris Vallowe on November 8, 2017
