Without exaggeration, this is the most beautiful hotel room I have stayed in. The happy hour was a welcome surprise. The upgrade to the king with balcony exceeded anything I could have imagined. The bed was comfy and the balcony was the highlight. The extra space, well, that was a bonus. Thank you so much.
The architecture of the building is so beautiful. I recall walking past this historic building on one of my first trips to the island knowing that some day I NEEDED to stay there. I loved sitting on the balcony at night and staring at the weathered posts and square nails in the morning. I have lots of images in my mind about what they have witnessed since being placed there. I would have loved a little write up on the history of the house that I could read in the room.
IF I had to be picky about something it was 1) modern commode required having to hold the button down. It took me a bit to figure that out. 2) the parking situation. Due to (very noisy) road construction (completely out of your control) we had to schlep our luggage four blocks on a sweltering day. Unpleasant. 3) I would have loved to been able to relax in the pool past 10:00 pm.By: LauraLee on May 24, 2016
