Great location as it is within easy walking distance of Duval but still set away from the craziness if you want to escape it for a bit. Some rooms are small but if you do your research you should know that already, and honestly, you’re in Key West… if you’re spending enough time in your room to be annoyed then you’re doing something wrong. They weren’t super tiny though- definitely room for large bags and to walk around, I thought it was perfect. A/C unit worked great and kept the room nice and cool. No refrigerators in the queen rooms, so make note of that. The more expensive rooms have them.
Parking is $10.75 per day but honestly it’s worth it to not have to worry about a spot. Would it be nice if it were free? Yes. But it’s still nice to have an actual parking lot, unlike most other hotels in town. If the lot is full at the Key Lime Inn (which it was all weekend), there are two lots next door at their sister hotel, the Chelsea House Hotel, that you can park at. We didn’t get a chance to have the continental breakfast as we were up and out fishing before 7:00 AM every day.
Front desk staff was fantastic! Gail checked us in and was so friendly and welcoming. We had to check out early (5:45 AM) and it was easy to do, as well. I would stay here again.By: Mike D on August 15, 2016
