I visited Key West for the first time ever over my Dec 17 birthday. We stayed from Dec 16 to the 20th. This was the perfect place to stay for my “introductory” visit. The location cannot be beat. It was very easy to find upon driving into Key West, and has plenty of spacious parking situated centrally in all its cottages. It is literally just a few minutes’ walk to many of the things people come to Key West to do: the Hemingway house, Southernmost Point, the Butterfly house, Duval St. We brought bikes with us and used them to ride to things which would have been a little bit of a longer walk, like Mallory Square and the aquarium and the Conch Train tour.
I loved the rooms. The dark wood floors, the high ceilings, the numerous windows, the soothing paint colors. Had a very “old southern house” feel to it. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping the bed made and neat, and keeping the room clean while we were out and about during the day. I loved the community feel of all the cottages grouped together, while still maintaining privacy. The continental breakfast each morning had plenty to offer, and was really nice to enjoy while sitting out by the pool in the morning light. The pool was also nice to lounge by during the evening while enjoying a drink and some music (all of which we brought with us).
Staff was very pleasant, welcoming, and efficient in getting us checked in and out. Upon arriving we were given multiple tickets with discounts on them for places around the area.
I would definitely recommend Key Lime Inn as a place to stay for anyone wanting to take a trip to Key West. I also hope that I can stay there again on my next visit, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later!By: Elizabeth Ring on December 22, 2015
