We stayed for a couple of nights at this lovely hotel. Warmly greeted by the receptionist, who had all our details ready for us (always a nice touch), we checked in quickly and made our way to the room (room 11). What a room, beautiful decor with all the facilities you would expect from a high end hotel, it was actually a shame we were only staying for two nights. Nice balcony attached to the room where we could sit out with a cold beverage. The view could have been better (The tin roof of a historic building next door) but we were surrounded by lush vegetation that screened us from the road – very peaceful indeed, sitting there in the evening listening to the crickets chirping.
The car park is onsite and there is more parking available nearby, and the directions given were very clear.
Taking a stroll down to breakfast in the morning we were impressed at the good order of the property – all very clean, tidy and well maintained. Bark chippings on the walkways helps to soften noise and adds to the sense of peace and tranquillity that Key Lime Inn engenders. Although only a few blocks from the mayhem of Duval Street, it is a very serene and peaceful place. Breakfast itself, whilst simple, is made interesting by the inclusion of local produce such as the Ham and Cheese Croissants – very moreish 🙂
Check out was just as slick and efficient as the check-in. Although we never had any issues or complaints I get the impression that the team here really care about the place and its guests and would respond quickly and positively to any problems.
Overall, it was a lovely, if far too brief stay at Key Lime Inn. We will be back one day (that’s a promise) and have already recommended it to people we have met on our travels.
