Given that it would be spring break when I arrived at Key West, I insisted on a place to stay prior to arriving. It can be difficult to do this online but the website for the Historic Key West Inns hotels made this pretty easy.
One of the photos showed a series of motorcycles and since I would be traveling by motorcycle to Key West I called the hotel to get additional information. Not only are they friendly to motorcycle riders, they provide a board you can place beneath your kickstand to keep the bike from falling over in the mulch. So not only can you park close to your hotel room, but they help you to help keep your bike upright.
This really demonstrates their commitment to customer service and is one of the many reasons they earn a five star rating from me.
The room I stayed in had plenty of space, nice hardwood (or laminate) floors, a comfortable bed and nice shower. The location cannot be beat as you are close to Duvall street and all the action that happens. A big plus is that while close to Duval, you are far enough away from the marina where all the bars and tours are based so you don’t get the rowdy beach scene.
My future stays in Key West will also be at the Key Lime Inn or another one of their other Historic Key West Inns hotels.By: Greg Matty on March 22, 2016
