I’ll admit, I made reservations while slightly inebriated one night. My main goal that night was to find a hotel in Key West that was affordable and within walking distance of the main attractions. The next day, I checked to make sure I didn’t reserve a nightmare, and what I saw seemed too good to be true.
Upon arriving I noticed the hotel was just as picturesque as its website portrays. The main building, pool area, and individual rooms all exhibit Key West’s unique personality. It was so relaxing at the pool area that my girlfriend and I commented that we wish we had an extra day to do nothing but lounge at the pool.
The hotel is located almost halfway between the South marker and Mallory Square. It is a few blocks from Duval Street, which is far enough away to keep its location quiet. It’s also a very safe area. I felt comfortable keeping my car in the parking lot. I recommend renting a bike, there’s a shop one block away that has $10/day rentals. One of our favorite activities was riding our bikes through the nearby graveyard.
The staff was very nice and accommodating. The continental breakfast was wonderful, I miss the chocolate chocolate-chip muffins.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. I will consider this hotel in the future, though I would love to check out their other Historic Key West Inns hotels as well.
