Our family spent 2 nights in your Lighthouse Court Hotel just this past Easter holiday. We were concerned the room would be too small for us (2 adults and 2 teenagers who are used to staying in a suite when we travel) but were pleasantly surprised when we walked into room 6C….the room was plenty big with 2 queen beds (one in the loft area), a sitting area, fridge and microwave, and large flat screen TV. We knew we wouldn’t spend that much time in the room, but we still concerned about our space. We enjoyed sitting just outside our room in the 2 chairs provided, reading our books and having a drink. The brick sidewalks, the tropical plants and trees, even the roosters running around, added the charm of the place. Complimentary breakfast around the pool was an added bonus.
Parking was not an issue, even though the lot was a block away. It’s just nice knowing you have a place to park should you choose to or need to drive somewhere. Although the hotel is on one of the main roads in Old Key West, you are secluded enough to not even notice. Everything we did, we did on foot. Almost everything is within walking distance. Checking in and out was a breeze and we were pleased with the recommendations given to us on things to do and places to eat.
We enjoyed the Hemingway House right across the street, Zachary Taylor State Park, Mallory square for the sunsets, the cemetery, which is totally different than cemeteries in Pennsylvania, and our favorite, the Harry S. Truman Little White House. On our next visit we plan to do some water activities and hopefully go to Dry Tortugas for a day. We would absolutely recommend your hotel to family and friends! We look forward to coming back!By: christina strunk on April 24, 2017
