We spent a few nights at the Merlin Guest House in May 2016 and had a delightful time. We checked in around at 8pm and were welcomed by name at the front desk. The staff was extremely helpful and welcoming and offered to let us park either in the lot for a fee, but also stated that if there was a spot on the street that would be free and was safe as well. We chose the street and our car was fine there.
We had a wonderful room with a nice boutique feel. The bed was comfortable and it was just right for what we needed. The pool looked nice, but we did not get a chance to use it. Breakfast was delicious each morning and we enjoyed the sunny patio area it was served on. The hotel cat was friendly, but not overly so, and kept away the neighborhood chickens. The area was not overly noisy, but close enough to walk to everything and we did not revisit our car during our entire stay. There is a wonderful restaurant directly across the street as well. I highly recommend the Merlin Guest House and we will likely revisit it.By: Nicki Puckett on May 24, 2016
