Absolutely enjoyed everything about this hotel…full of historic inn charm…staff very friendly…maintenance arrived 2 min. after we reported a possible problem w/toilet…room was always cleaned early so early afternoon naps were possible daily…very quiet and peaceful…will be staying here again as we travel to Key West once a year…would highly recommend to all.

Wonderful experience from check in to check out. The hotel staff is courteous and helpful. They offered terrific suggestions for area restaurants and local points of attraction. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Laid back atmosphere is perfect for relaxing. With the location a short walk from Duval Street, it is in a quiet area. The next time I plan a trip to Key West, I will look to the Key Lime Inn first!

We spent 4 nights in Cypress House in one of the rooms with a private porch overlooking the street.  The room was large and stylish with a huge and comfortable bed and a clean and modern bathroom.  The private front porch was delightful and the pool area also very pleasant. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we found it a particularly nice touch that they laid on free cocktails and nibbles by the pool at 4.30pm each day which was a nice way of getting to know the other guests.

The house is right in the heart of the beautiful historic district and is within a few minutes walk of Duval Street and Mallory Square which is where the majority of the restaurants and bars are located and is also not far from the harbour. Although this was very convenient the street could be a little noisy at night sometimes.  The only other downside was that the breakfast provided was adequate consisting of toast, cereal, local pastries and bagels with one ready prepared hot dish each day, for example burritos or omelettes. We thought that, for the price, there should have been more hot food available or a better selection of pastries and ready prepared fruit.

All in all we would have no hesitation in recommending Cypress Inn.

I have stayed in Key West many times and this was my first time staying at a guest house. The staff here will make you feel like you’re friends or family. Rooms are large, bedding is excellent and the pool is surprisingly large.

I will be back tinKey West sometime in May and I’ll be right back here to visit my friends.

This cozy, small hotel have a perfect location- near everything but still in a very quiet area. The rooms were small but very fresh. The pool area is quiet and great to just relax in. The drinks from the bar were great- especially the Key Lime Mojito! You can park your car in a parking lot the hotel has just a couple of blocks away. We will definitely come back again!

Das Hotel ist wunderschön und sehr zentral gelegen.  Aber abends dennoch ruhug. Der Pool u das Zimmer waren schön und sauber. Das Frühstück gab es am Pool.

Trite as though that review title sounds, the description fits Cypress House. From Chris (my crossword pal and past fellow Ohioan) to the housekeeping staff, everyone made us feel welcome, always had good suggestions for us, and in general made it a pleasure to return to Cypress House. The inn is really the heart of it all when we visit Key West: close to Smokin’ Tuna, Schooner’s Wharf, Conch Republic, Duval Street, and any other attraction that I may choose to visit. The liming (sp??) hour is a great way to relax, recharge, and visit with other guests and compare new restaurants, places to visit, etc. We have a favorite room on the first floor front with porch, very spacious, and a little sunburst mirror that I CRAVE. I have invited friends that are down the same time as we are to visit us and strongly encourage them to check out the Inn. This is the 3rd of the Historic Key West Inns hotels that we have stayed in (Chelsea House, Lighthouse Court). This is the favorite hands down and we look forward to returning next year.

My wife and I arrived at 10 P.M. on 10/31 and were warmly welcomed. The morning after, our complimentary breakfast was excellent; I loved the sesame bagels. At 10 A.M., breakfast was over, but we stayed at one of the many shaded tables by the swimming pool, I brought out my laptop; later on in the day, my wife enjoyed a pina colada at the poolside mojito bar.  We enjoyed socializing with other guests, all of whom loved the place; it was like a home away from home. Part of the premises can be used for concerts, receptions, etc…

The location is ideal — right across the street from Hemingway House, a block away from Duval Street, within easy walking distance from the Southernmost Point… To sum up: 1) comfort; 2) customer service; 3) amenities; 4) location.

P.S. The cleaning staff was highly responsive to our needs for service of the room; in a way, our schedule was their schedule!

My husband and I just returned from 5 nights at the Chelsea House. He is 82 and has been having knee issues lately so we knew we would need a first floor unit and a kitchenette. Your junior suite rm 32 fit the bill perfectly. We spent many hours on the private porch and I was able to cook dinner and most importantly NOT have to wash dishes! My favorite attraction was the butterfly farm. Soo beautiful. We also spent a great day at southernmost beach.
The room was large, the bed extremely comfortable with a better TV than we have at home! If I were to make any suggestions I would request dish towels and a cutting board for the kitchen and side tables for the couch, the ottoman makes the couch very comfortable but no place to put drinks. We particularly enjoyed the wonderful bagels at breakfast. Thank you for providing such a perfect oasis.
