The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast by the pool was great. A little annoyed at the sign saying we shouldn’t take ice to fill our cooler. Most guests probably don’t even travel with their coolers, but we do, and splurged for just one night in Key West. Surely you could happily dispense ice for those who try to economize by keeping food and drinks in coolers! Nice plantings, comfortable beds, great location, and appreciated the late checkout.

Me, my husband, and 8-year old daughter stayed at Lighthouse Court 12/28-1/3 and had a fantastic time.  Although the hotel is tailored to couples, we felt completely welcome with our daughter.  Service was excellent.  We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and housekeeping was always on point and never obtrusive. It was lovely to relax around the pool–which was never too crowded even during the busy week.  Lighthouse Court is in a really great location.  We loved being across the street from the Hemingway House and close to Blue Heaven (our favorite Key West experience). We had an amazing time and cannot wait to return.

We had such an amazing time in Key West! Enhanced by our stay at Merlin Guest House. I could tell you many of the things I liked about The Merlin but I think this story pretty much sums up the level of care you receive from the staff.  We were three old friends meeting up in Key West for New Years. I forgot to make dinner reservations. I called many places which were, of course, all full. I called the Merlin and asked if they had any suggestions of what I might do. Kenneth said there was a place right across the street that they really liked, would I like him to go over and see what he could do? I said yes! Kenneth actually went across the street to see if he might be able to secure us a New Years Eve dinner. He called me back to say that the problem was solved, we had seats at the time we had hoped for! The food and service at Deuces Off the Hook was top notch!  Donna was at The Merlin to greet us when we checked in. She was so friendly and happy to see us! Everything was already in order. Check in took just a couple of minutes!  She walked back to our room with us, assisted us with our parking area, showed us where breakfast would be served, where to get ice and soda… she didn’t just tell us. She personally showed us! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Key West! I would also like to commend Leela, the bartender at their sister property the Lighthouse Court Hotel. The best margarita I have ever had! She was delightful and knew her business! I look forward to returning to The Merlin Guest House again and again.

We stayed at Chelsea House for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. The location is perfect, close to Duval street. The rooms were very clean and the front desk was very courteous and helpful.

There was a lot of rain during our stay and we had  a small leak in our room. We were offered another room right away.

The pool area is nice. One suggestion is to add some lounge chairs which are comfortable and the pool is small, but serves its purpose nicely.

I would stay there again and recommend to friends.

This was my third visit to Key West, but the best hotel experience of all!  The front office staff (especially Jim) were nice, knowledgeable and had excellent suggestions for bike rentals, restaurants, jet skis and ground transportation.  Our room was clean and much more than we expected.  I was traveling with my husband, daughter and her friend.  Our room has 2 queen beds but they are in separate spaces so it was like having two bedrooms without doors.  The hotel grounds were clean and well kept.  The breakfast by the pool was fresh and well stocked.  Our room was ready when we got there, around 2:00, and we were able to check in early.  Check out was a breeze.  I have already recommended Albury Court to all my friends that visit Key West!

The Cypress House is a beautiful Key West home built in 1888 that is perfectly charming and has beautifully renovated interiors. It is an adults only hotel and a perfect romantic getaway. My husband and I had a king deluxe room with a porch which was a great place to hang in the evenings before and after going to dinner. Our room had high ceilings that were painted with a really lovely floral border and a tasteful chandelier. They also have complimentary “liming hour” with a nightly cocktail and appetizer before the sunset and breakfast included in the am. Couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to go back!

It was my second time staying at the Merlin Guest House but the first time my girlfriend had ever even been to the Keys. First of, I reserved the room before getting approved by work for my vacation, so when it came down to it, I actually had an extra day to spend in KW but no room, the staff at Merlin spent a few minutes on the phone with me, and ended the conversation with, “No worries. For you, we’ll find something.” We upgraded our room to a King, and boy was it amazing. My girlfriend spent hours in the hammock Friday night in the crisp breeze. Saturday rolled around and it rained. and rained… and briefly stopped, then rained some more. Again, the staff was amazing, they relocated the breakfast to keep us dry, offered us umbrellas and ponchos to stay dry, and told us where to hang out to still have fun on the island. My girlfriend has done nothing but brag about our stay with Merlin. Thank you all.

We stayed at the Merlin Guest House for new year’s and it was exactly what we needed.  Perfect location and great staff.  After the craziness of Duval street – the Merlin Guest House was a wonderful quiet location to recoup after evening festivities.

Highly recommended!
