My wife and I planned our visit to Key West last fall. We found the Chelsea House Hotel online and investigated. We were interested in staying close to downtown and the idea of a historic hotel sounded great. We liked the vibe from the first phone call to get information, and decided to book 5 nights in February in a suite. We checked in 2/18. The process was easy and the staff excellent.

The room was generous in size and on the second floor.  As far as the comfort in the room, no complaints. We asked for softer pillows and Dennis accommodated. The breakfast offered all the usual choices in a continental set up, and we enjoyed eating around the pool. The office staff was helpful with information about sites to visit, and we did hit the main attractions; Hemingway House, Truman’s White House, Mel Fisher’s museum, Sunset at Mallory Square, Conch Trolley, all the music offerings at the local taverns, and the Lighthouse Museum. We enjoyed a couple drinks and Key Lime Pie at their sister Lighthouse Court Hotel, and the beach at Fort Zachery.

The housekeeping staff were very friendly and did a great job with the room. We rested in our room when we needed a quiet break and sat on the balcony. Key West was fun and funky with great historical presence. So the Chelsea was ideal for us. We walked everywhere, except to Fort Zachery. We do recommend the Chelsea House Hotel and would stay there again. Hopefully we will get another chance to visit KW!

We really enjoyed our stay, our whole group was booked in rooms near each other, which was nice. The employees were great and eager to help in any way! We came in on the Key West Express which was only a few blocks over, easily in walking distance. Everyday we had breakfast by the pool, and afternoons we took breaks by the pool as well during the heat of the day. Then back out for more fun in the evening! This is our 3rd trip to Key West and staying in one of their Historic Key West Inns hotels. They have all been great! Looking forward to our next trip! Thanks for our “Great Experience!”

We were in Key West for our 5th Anniversary. We had not made plans and we’re just going day by day. We found this place on our second day and stayed two nights. The room was very nice and clean. Hubby loved the breakfast spread. It was close enough to all the spots. We were on our Harley so parking was easy.

Can’t wait till our next trip!

Everything was very good! Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Would be extremely advantageous if our room had a micro_wave in it, or accessible in food area.

All in all, great time, good value, I would definately recommend to others.

Our stay was everything we hoped for and more.  Location of the Lighthouse Court Hotel was perfect, waking up each day to the crowing of roosters and opening our door to see the lighthouse was delightful.  We were welcomed on Monday evening by Hubert, who was welcoming, helpful, and informative on activities and suggestions.  When arriving at our room we were delighted to see the sitting room and refrigerator.  Our first day was spent relaxing at the pool and the staff was friendly and offered suggestions and help on several occasions.  The woman at the bar offered us fantastic rum punch and brought us a snack or two throughout the day, it was like she read our mind.  As evening came, we took Hubert’s suggestion and rented bikes rather than driving, it was the perfect suggestion for the duration of our stay.  When looking for a boat occasion/ snorkeling the next day, Laura was incredibly informative in providing options, booking our day-trip for us (Danger Boat tours was wonderful!), and she made sure we had towels, sunscreen, and directions to the dock.  We could not have had a better day, excursion and trip thanks to your staff.

Two suggestions though… Our room really did need a dresser.  Storing clothing for 5 days for two people was challenging without drawers, even under-the-bed storage would have solved this dilemma.  Also, the layout of the room should be changed or that room reserved for only one person.

Suffice to say that even without these conveniences, our trip was fantastic and we will be staying at the Lighthouse Court Hotel when we return to Key West next year.

This was our first time at this location and we enjoyed our stay very much.  Also, Lila at the mojito bar was fantastic.  She made great drinks and gave us recommendations for dinner on the island.

This was our 4th year staying at Cypress House Hotel and we have absolutely loved it every single time. The people running it are super nice and always very helpful and responsive to our needs. The rooms are always really clean with just a warm and inviting atmosphere. They have given us good advice as to what Sunset Sailboat Cruise to go on and it’s right down the street from our favorite breakfast place PePe’s! It’s also a great location from Duval Street and we have recommended it to many of our friends.

It was a great place to stay. Location was one block off of Duval. Very quiet. Excellent staff, great breakfasts in the pool area. Room was clean and served it’s purpose well for our stay. The little Mojito bar was great. Nice women working there. Very helpful. Front desk staff were nice and very helpful. Loved Gary the black cat. Thanks for a great couple of nights. Hope to return.

I have done my fair share of traveling. Stayed in hotels in cities all over the country. I have never had such an amazing experience as my stay at the Chelsea House Hotel. My boyfriend and I traveled to Florida for a work trip and drove down to Key West for the last few days of our visit. This was my first time in Key West. Even though the weather didn’t always cooperate, it was well worth it. The best part, our hotel was in the perfect location! We walked everywhere. To bars on Duval, to restaurants on the south side of the island, to the sunset pier on the north shore. We went to amazing restaurants just blocks from our hotel.

The grounds of the hotel were beautifully maintained, great pool and fantastic breakfasts each morning. It felt like we were house guests at a beautiful old island property.

I fell in love with this Hotel and I honestly can’t wait to go back.
