We really enjoyed our stay at the Lighthouse Court. The pool and patio area were great for enjoying breakfast or a pre-dinner cocktail. The room was small but clean and nice. The only thing we would have changed is the ability to open windows (room was sometimes stuffy and letting in breeze in lieu of AC occasionally would’ve been nice). The property was completely full for a wedding, which meant the entrance and pool area were often packed with people. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Our friend recently relocated to Key West so my husband and I wanted to spend a few days with him to explore his new home. I blindly booked The Lighthouse Court Hotel not knowing anything about it or any of the other hotels in town. My choice was based on location, price, and description on their website. We parked in the back of the hotel temporarily to unload our baggage and check in, then moved the car to their lot within a convenient walking distance. Our room was small, but having traveled to Europe, it was more than adequate! It was very clean with all the necessary amenities. Some reviews mentioned thin walls, but our room was very quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the private courtyard space for the morning coffee and continental breakfast and at night for a quiet space to sit and have a cocktail from the bar after the bustle of Duval St. We are both vegans and found many restaurants with vegan menus! We took advantage of the coupon they gave us for bicycles so we biked everywhere and never had to use the car. We’ll be back!

Stayed at the Key Lime Inn for the first time. This was the first time at a local hotel in this area vs a chain hotel. I great quaint place, rooms nice and clean. Staff was very personable and helpful. Everything was in walking distance, great location.

My husband & I stayed at Cypress House from October 16-18 to celebrate our anniversary and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We live in South Florida and took a leisurely drive down the Overseas Highway, enjoying the beautiful vistas along the way. We had both been to Key West numerous times before, but never had the opportunity to visit together until now. The staff were exceedingly helpful, from helping to show us around the property, to recommendations for dinner and things to do around town. The room was beautifully appointed and we were given a 1st floor unit as had been requested. The hotel couldn’t have been in a better location as it is just a block from Duval Street. Needless to say, once we parked our car upon arrival, we never used it again until the morning we (reluctantly) checked out. They offered a nice assortment of food for breakfast, as well as the daily afternoon “liming” which one of the staff happily informed us that it is a Caribbean term for ‘the art of doing nothing’ and so agrees the Urban Dictionary:

The concept of liming encompasses any leisure activity entailing the sharing of food and drink, the exchange of tall stories, jokes and anecdotes etc., provided the activity has no explicit purpose beyond itself.

What more could we have asked for?? For those who know Key West, this is exactly the experience you want while visiting. We made some new friends, had many laughs, as well as great food & drinks and cannot wait until we have the chance to visit again.

This was our 3rd stay with the Historic Key West Inns hotels.  We loved our first stay at the Key Lime Inn but fell in love with the Cypress House and her staff.  You could not ask for a better location, better accommodations or better staff.  I know we will be back and will stay at the Cypress House again and again.

Thank you

We are a couple from Spain that just moved to the States. We wanted to know the Keys because we loved to visit every single “magical” place affordable and we found it at the Chelsea House Hotel. Everybody who works there has a smile and helps you.

Thank you,

Hope to see you soon!

Thanks for such a wonderful stay in Key West.  The staff was so friendly and accommodating.  We will definitely stay here again, loved the location. We were able to park the car a walk everywhere.  The breakfast was great, the room was spacious and clean, the pool was refreshing.

My wife and I traveled with a large group from 11/1 – 11/4.  We loved the boutique feel of the property and felt it resembled the essence of Key West.  The courtyard was the perfect gathering place to meet up with friends.

Although our room was small, it was very clean and well appointed.  The maid service was timely and of good quality.  The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions.  The same can be said of the bartenders at the Mojito bar.

The group  rented bikes for (2) days and were able to tour the island with ease.  The front desk suggested A&M Rentals.  It was close and reasonable priced.

One suggestion is to have some type of food option available by the pool.  Another suggestions is to be able to purchase something as simple as bottled water before and after the pool bar closes – need to stay hydrated due to the combination of heat and bar hoping!

Since returning home, I have said all positive things to family and friends about our stay. I would stay here again and recommend the hotel to others as well.
