We so enjoyed our visit to the Chelsea House. Everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable on the area and giving directions when needed. Our room was comfortable, always cleaned when we came back. Loved the porch on the front and the lovely pool area for breakfast. We will definitely return for another visit when back in Key West.

We stayed at Chelsea House for our first visit to Key West that coincided with our 10th Anniversary.  The location was great and the amenities were exactly as expected.  We definitely plan to stay there during our next visit to Key West!

Great location!

Great pool! (so lush and tropical)

Great breakfast! (those ham and cheese mini-croissants are quite tasty)

Really great staff!

We really enjoyed our stay at Chelsea House. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The room we had was roomy, the bed comfy, the showers perfect after a day of play and exploration. We tend to like to try out different accommodations when making multiple visit to our favorite travel spots (Key West is our all-time favorite). However, we will stick with you all with our future trips to the Keys.

Thank you Chelsea House for helping make our recent Key West stay an awesome one!

We had planned our trip to Key West for an overnight stay. When friends went before us and stayed at Chelsea House, we immediately booked a room there. We drove down from Pompano Beach on a Wednesday morning, arriving at Chelsea House around 1PM. Check in was not until 4, so we received a parking permit and walked down Duval Street, visiting several local attractions. We arrived back at the Chelsea House, checked in and found a very nice, clean room with a comfortable Queen bed. The bath had a tile shower, toilet and vessel sink, very cute. The room was more than adequate, as most of the time will be spent seeing the sights in Key West and enjoying the food and drink that is available. The highlight of our visit was going to “Better Than Sex”, a dessert restaurant. We thought that the restaurant was closed on a Wednesday, but saw a sign that they opened at 6. We were able to make a reservation for late evening, so dinner was light. We hope to visit Key West again, and would love to stay at the Chelsea House once again.

We included an overnight stay at Chelsea House Pool and Gardens during our 2 week stay in Fort Lauderdale. The gem at the end of the drive was a good find. We arrived about 3 hours early for check-in but were professionally and kindly welcomed. We were able to leave our car in the parking lot and start our experience in KW. The check-in went smoothly and Room 8 was in top notch condition; clean and all the necessary amenities needed. The breakfast was sufficient and delicious. We were very happy that everything was within walking distance, so location couldn’t be better. The highly recommended and anticipated key lime pie did not disappoint. All the staff were helpful and friendly, particularly the house keeping supervisor. We had dinner at Conch Republic Seafood restaurant followed by going to Mallory square to watch the sunset. You live in a very beautiful part of the USA. Two days was not quite long enough. I would definitely recommend your hotel to our friends and we would return as well.

Gail during my check- in process was extremely helpful and friendly. We were lucky to have found parking right across from our room, but I see how easily it could be disappointing for some. Pool was great, peaceful, and relaxing. We had it basically to ourselves. Rooms were a descent size, bathroom small but clean. It had a ceiling fan and ac unit. Short 10 min walk to duval. Towels were really good. Pillows are firm which some people like them that way. Nice size mini fridge. No microwave. Breakfast includes local ham and cheese croissants, cereal, fruits, bagels and toast. Will be willing to stay again.

Every time we come to Key West, we stay at a Historic Key West Inns hotel. It was the first time we stayed at the Cypress House though, and it definitely didn’t disappoint!

Everyone was so pleasant from check-in right through check-out. Breakfast was amazing every morning and the pool was perfect. We stayed in a king room, and it was extremely spacious. We really couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Location was perfect — just a block off of Duval on the north side of the island. There were plenty of great restaurants and shops within walking distance.

You guys have a repeat customer for life here! Thanks again!

Talk about a relaxing and wonderful stay! If you’re looking for a place to stay in Key West look no further!! The Merlin Guesthouse exceeded our expectations. The room was immaculate, the location was ideal and the staff was very friendly and professional. The Free breakfast in the morning couldn’t be more relaxing and yummy. I would give Merlin Guesthouse 10 stars if I could. I will most def be booking with them again, they make me want to visit key west again and again just to stay there!!

The property overall is charming and well-maintained. The pool and breakfast area are pleasant. It would have been helpful if the awning-covered area had been explicitly mentioned at check-in, as we didn’t realize it was accessible until our second day! Other guests mentioned they had made the same oversight (or maybe they were just being polite).

The room itself was quaint and charming. The squeaky wooden floors didn’t bother us, but I don’t know about the guests below us. I was surprised that there was no iron and ironing board in a hotel of this quality. It is a handy item after a long trip. The staff were uniformly pleasant and helpful whenever asked. A suggestion, based on a stay at a competing hotel, would be to offer a late-afternoon wine and cheese plate by the pool. Overall, a very pleasant stay. The main attractions for us were the peacefulness and quaintness of the property.
