My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chelsea House. We often stay in bed and breakfasts, and the charm of the older restored home, the great location (with parking), and the nice conveniences of private balconies, an ample continental breakfast, and private pool added to the value. I would stay here again.

Due to an ice storm in Atlanta, we were “forced” to spend an additional night in Key West. The hotel where we had previously spent the night was full, so they referred us to the Chelsea House. I’m sorry I didn’t get the gentleman’s name who was working the front desk because he was very good at his job. He secured us a king room that was perfect! Upon arrival, check in was very easy and thorough. The Chelsea House is very conveniently located to Duval Street. The complementary breakfast by the pool had a great variety of options. I also really wish I had gotten the name of the petite girl who we saw frequently going from house to house. She always checked to see if we needed anything and volunteered to make a follow up call to the taxi when she thought we had been waiting a long time.

I stayed at the Lighthouse Court Hotel the week of 2/21/15 and had a delightful time.  The entire team was professional, pleasant and helpful.  I stayed in one of the “conch” cottages, and while the room was small, it was comfortable and suited my needs very well…we explored the area so much that all we really needed was a comfortable bed and a hot shower.  We got both.

If you have the chance an excellent day trip is the ferry to the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson.  A bit expensive but a great trip.

We didn’t have a bad meal in any restaurant or bar.  In fact, the best meals were when we explored off the main drag of Duval Street.  The highlight was Latitudes on Sunset Key.  If you want to sit outside on the beach to watch the sunset make a reservation WEEKS in advance.

We had an evening flight out of Key West and during check out we arranged to leave our luggage at the hotel to pick up later.  The staff was very helpful and eager to help.  I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Key West.  You do need to remember that these are historic inns and they may not have all the posh of the Westin but for the real flavor of Key West you can’t beat it.

My husband and I took my big sister here because it was on her bucket list to one day visit Key West. I am so happy we decided to stay here because it couldn’t of been more perfect.  The rooms were very clean, the facility was very clean and tranquil.  Thank you for making our time in the Keys at your beautiful B&B so wonderful.  We hope to be back soon.

My wife and I were totally delighted with our recent stay. Great location near all the restaurants and historical sites yet a very quiet setting. Staff was very helpful and professional. Great suggestions on eating spots and things to do.
Would stay again in a heartbeat.

If you’re looking for a charming, low-key place to stay in Key West, this is it.  The location in the heart of old town and a short walk from Duval Street can’t be beat. Yet despite being close to all the action, the Key Lime Inn was very restful.  My Superior Queen room was nicely appointed with modern furniture and bright, tropical colors and had all the amenities one would expect from a much pricier hotel: a refrigerator and K-cup coffee-maker, large flat screen t.v., generous bedding, and an abundance of fluffy towels.  The included breakfast was tops with a variety of breads and pastries from local bakeries.  Though not large, the pool area was attractive and peaceful. The free, on-site parking was a further plus.  In all, I had a wonderful stay and heartily recommend the Key Lime Inn to those looking for comfort and value in a superb location.

We love Key West and decided to try an Inn for this couples getaway.  Obviously just escaping the snow and cold is wonderful but a comfortable and pleasant base is an additional reward.  The staff at Chelsea House were all very nice, accommodating and strove to answer questions or to provide requests.  Suggestions: more hooks and a shelf in bathroom, coffee in rooms for us early birds and a little variety in breakfast offering.  These are not criticisms just food for thought, I am a veteran resort manager and my stay was excellent!

Your staff was lovely, made it cozy:).    Location is great, walked to almost everything.  My weather wasn’t what I wanted the first 2 days (but next 2 days sooo enjoyed.)  One suggestion, different pillows please.

Thank you for an enjoyable visit to your Paradise, I like the way you share.

Room was clean and modern. Delicious continental breakfast in hotel courtyard by small pool/relaxing fountain. We definitely felt spoiled! Only thing we would change is Eaton St we had to cross from the office/pool to room. (Our first time to Key West so we were unaware of busyness of this street.). Also, the price of the room is high but along the same price point of most rooms on the island.

Having made our reservation after a web search, what a lovely surprise when we arrived and received  such an enthusiastic “welcome” by Anthony.  Upon arriving at #21, nestled among the palms and coleus, we were surprised at the spacious quarters and instantly noticed the cleanliness of the rooms.  Poolside created a quiet area for my reading and loving Jordan, the cat.  Of course your breakfast was generous and thoughtful with the variety of items from which to choose.

Thank you for welcoming us to the Merlin Guesthouse.
