When my husband recently had to go to Miami for work, I took advantage of the opportunity and joined him in Florida.  We decided that our time together would best be spent in Key West!  So we headed down with our fingers crossed that we could get a hotel room.

I had read about the Key Lime Inn on-line was was hoping they had vacancies…..were we in luck!  The Key Lime Inn had a vacancy and after a fantastic check-in experience with Micheall and Melissa we went to our cottage room.  Everything was immaculate and cozy!  I wandered the grounds, taking pictures of the walkways and cottages, the pool and the main house.  I was enthralled with the ambiance and atmosphere of the Key Lime Inn!!

Plus, every time we had a question or needed help locating something in town, the office staff was always helpful and cheerful!

Thank you, Key Lime Inn, for welcoming two Alaskans into your beautiful home and helping us make our last minute getaway into a Great Escape!!

This was our first visit to Key West and we will definitely be back! We loved the Chelsea House. Great location, nice, quiet and perfect for us. Betsy was terrific! Friendly, fun and gave us some great suggestions for some “non-touristy” things to do! We have already told some friends to stay here and will definitely be back!

Our first visit to Key West. Stayed a week at Key Lime Inn, and really enjoyed it. Warm friendly staff, and nice clean room. We liked the fact that it is a smaller property — not crowded — and easy access to its pool, as well to the local activities and restaurants. Nice breakfast by the pool each morning was a great way to start the day.  :)

We chose to walk everywhere, but you can easily rent bicycles, mopeds, and golf carts just down the street.

We found many places to eat (everything is within a 10-15 minute walk). One in particular was worth repeat visits — a modest French café (the Banana Café) on Duval — it was away from the main crowds, and quite pleasant.

Looking forward to visiting Key West and the hotel again.

Check in and check out were very easy and fast. Staff was very knowlegeable about the area and things to see and do. Room was clean and comfortable, just a bit cozy. The breakfast was great, and seating around the pool for breakfast was fun. I would recommend this place to my friends. Seeing the southernmost point in the USA and the sunset at Mallory Square was fun.

My husband and I stayed 3 nights, we thought the staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We just wished there was a shelf or someplace to put our toiletries and the sheets were sort of like sandpaper. But other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and will probably return.

Let me start with WOW!!! My fiance and I came to Key West for the first time this past week and had an absolutely wonderful time and Cypress House was just the place for us.  We will be getting married in Key West in October and came to check on a few things and do some relaxing.  The staff at Cypress House (Dennis, Alex, etc) were so welcoming from the first moments there.  Our room was perfect and the bathroom was large and very nice.  Housekeeping did a great job of keeping everything very clean and neat!  I really enjoyed the beautiful pool.  Breakfast was delicious each morning and gave us a chance to start our day with a good meal sitting by the pool.  We also really enjoyed the 4:30 cocktail time.  Cypress House was a quick walk from everything we wanted to do.  I couldn’t think of anything that would have made our stay better.  Thank you and we will be back!

We came back to the Key Lime Inn because it was my wife’s birthday wish was to return to the Key Lime Inn.  We were greeted warmly and were given a suggestion for breakfast.  While we were out the staff went into our cottage and put birthday greeting post cards in different locations in the cottage.  Drawers, shower lamps and in the closet.  My wife was happily surprised.  Our room was ready early and it was immaculate.  We were treated like family not just guests.  We look forward to our next stay at the Key Lime Inn.

My recent stay at your hotel was very good. We loved the location and how clean the room was. There was plenty of parking and always had hot water.  The pool are was nice but we felt could use some music playing and if there was a bar it would be perfect. I will say I was disappointed in the breakfast so we decided to eat out instead. Another big negative was I felt I was rushed to check out. Over all it was very nice.

We visit Key West annually for a good friend’s birthday retreat, and usually everyone arrives and stays at the same hotel. This year, my girlfriend and myself decided to go a day early for some time to ourselves to enjoy the area and all it has to offer. I chose Chelsea House as our destination based on it’s vicinity to the activities we were looking for, and for the pool/deck and charming history the house portrays. When we arrived, the room was not quite ready for us (we got there a bit earlier than normal check-in) and the staff was delighted to see us. The young lady at the front desk was inviting and was more than happy to issue our parking pass and pool access while we waited for our room to be ready. Needless to say, it was a smooth transition from our 7 hour drive to the lovely pool and garden area. The pool has a great deck area, and is surrounded by beautiful trees (the most notable was the large palm overhanging the pool itself, awesome). Our room was ready right at 3pm, and we were delighted by the charm our ‘Butterfly Room’ shows. Lovely 4 post bed and beautiful flooring, small bathroom, closet, flatscreen and mini fridge. The house is old, so it comes with the amenities expected when staying in a ‘charming’ house. Most notably the small shower and lack of water pressure, but this is key west and we don’t need a pressure washer for a shower. The room had sufficient towels and pillows, and a comfortable bed- the only reason I submit a 4-star rating rather than a 5 was some small cleanliness issues. Nothing grotesque, mind you, just small subtle things I notice because I notice small subtle things. Overall the area is nice, right on the main road and easy access to Duval and all the shops. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family who love the classics, and am personally excited to check out some of the other properties Historic Key West Inns offers.
