I found this hotel when we decided at the last minute to take the Key West Express from Ft. Myers.  We decided to stay one night to give us more time on the island and were delighted with the accommodations. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we were allowed to leave our one small suitcase in the hotel for the 5 hour stretch between check-out and catching the boat back.  The hotel is walking distance to most tourist attractions (a short block to Duval Street) if you like to walk like we do.  The room was perfect with a large, luxurious bathroom.  Great breakfast by the pool is included.

My wife and I just returned from a fantastic 5 night stay at the Cypress House. We read numerous reviews before booking the Cypress House and were not disappointed. Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfasts served by the pool in a private setting were a perfect way to start our day in Key West. The staff was courteous, friendly and responsive to our needs. The red rose placed on our bed on Valentine’s Day was a very nice touch!

The location to the waterfront and Duval Street was the clincher for us. We only had to walk two blocks to enjoy the nightlife that Duval Street offers. This was my 6th trip to Key West and my first time staying at the Cypress House. It will definitely not be our last. We plan to return to the Cypress House for future vacations.

The location of this property is fabulous. It’s 1 block off Duval Street and 4 or 5 blocks from the beach. There are only about 25 or so rooms at this property, which we really liked. The room that we stayed in (#3) was located at the front of the property which is on Simonton Street. It’s not too noisy, but there is some construction going on a few blocks down the street, and there are some big trucks going up and down the street. That being said, I think the reason for the trucks, is the removal of a firehouse demolition, so this will probably not be an issue within the next few days or a week. The room we had was cozy. But it was updated and clean. And the smallness of the room really didn’t bother us because we don’t spend much time in our room anyway. Also, our room did not have a closet, a coffee maker or a fridge. Not a big deal to us, but if it is to you, then you should ask for a different room type. Of course, I’m sure the price will be a little more.

NOW THE BATHROOM! I readily confess that I am a bathroom nazi. I am WAYYYY picky about the bathroom. And I am pleased to say that this one passed. The bathroom was a decent size and the lighting was bright and fabulous. There was a large mirror over the sink and a large full length mirror on one side of the room. There was also some room around the sink to place toiletries. My only minor issue was the water nozzle in the shower. I prefer a tight water stream and not a wide water stream. This one had a wide stream, although the pressure was decent. So overall the bathroom passed. They also have a really good continental breakfast each morning by the pool, serving hard boiled eggs, yogurt, fresh fruit (apples, oranges, bananas, etc.), local pastries, muffins, cereal, orange juice and coffee. The staff (especially Kenneth) was extremely helpful and very accommodating, providing great tips on various things around the area. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this guesthouse.

Great location as you are minutes away from every thing. Very nice pool area and good mini areas around the room to sit back and relax.

We stayed 4 nights at Chelsea House, 2 nights in a superior Queen room and 2 nights in a King room – while both rooms were great – the King room was larger and had a bigger shower. All the staff were excellent, housekeeping staff were very friendly and attentive. Rooms and grounds were clean and well maintained. Location was a few blocks to Duval Street, just a very short walk. We would also recommend renting a scooter during your stay – there was a scooter rental place 2 blocks from Chelsea House.

Me and my girlfriend stayed there for 2 nights. Room was very clean and spacious just like the bathroom. Breakfast was good. Generally I find something to complain about hotels but I just felt like home. Strongly recommended for key west visits.

We discovered Lighthouse Court three years ago (2012) as we competed in the annual Ragnar Relay Race from Miami to Key West. Every year since then we have stayed there the weekend after the race to both celebrate and recover from the race experience as well as enjoy Key West.

The staff has been awesome every time. They are friendly & gracious. The property & rooms are always very well maintained and the beds so comfy.

We love waking up and hanging out by the pool for the breakfast. What a great way to start each day.

The hotel is in a great location, right across the street from the Hemingway House and just one block off of noisy Duval. You can walk to almost everything but, if you desire a bike, scooter, or Pedi Cab the team at the front desk will take care of getting one for you.

See you again next year!

We took a spontaneous trip to the Keys unaware that trying to find overnight accommodations will be so difficult after trying several locations and everything was either sold out extremely expensive or extremely unacceptable living conditions. Then we ran across the Key Lime Inn which the room was extremely comfortable clean and reasonably priced but they only had one day available. We love the Key Lime Inn and believe me, we are very picky.

So with that being said the next day we had to move to the Merlin Guesthouse, another property of the Historic Key West Inns. We were blown away. The little cottage we stayed in was more than we ever expected to bet was bath full kitchen living room. Love the property only problem there is no television in the bedroom which probably shouldn’t of had anyways, it’s a vacation but so used to going to sleep with the television on.  Other than that perfect.  Anytime we go to the keys we will stay there and we have already recommended to all friends and family.  If you’re in the keys this is the PERECT place to stay. Not only for the accommodations but the prompt service. Had a problem with the Internet within two minutes they were at the door and within 30 seconds it was solved. Great location loved it.

We had a great stay at the Key Lime Inn. It was a pleasure to enter the breakfast area every morning to a warm, heart felt smile with a pleasant welcome. Danielle, the manager, was helpful, friendly, professional, extremely pleasant and deserves a raise. The entire staff there yet never under foot and always available for help if needed. I wish to thank the front desk clerk for help with the pool towels.  Thanks again for a relaxing and comfortable stay.
