We stayed 5 nights at Cypress House 9/6 thru 9/11. We have been coming to the keys for many years, however this is our first stay at Cypress House and we will be back for sure. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. Melissa was especially helpful with finding a florist for my husband to surprise me on my birthday, answering questions about returning with our daughter, son-in-law and new baby (she suggested Merlin Guesthouse) and printing a Banana Republic coupon for us. The birthday cheer of champagne from Cypress House was a very nice surprise, thank you for a wonderful stay and birthday!

Amazing stay at the Merlin Guesthouse!!  The pool is icey cold and enjoyable!

The rooms are kept clean and stocked. The pool area is catered with continental breakfast as well as towels and ice tea.

Overall, a definite repeat visit is in order.

Hotel is located close to Key West Express and also Duval Street. Room was clean and Air Condition work great. Have already recommended this hotel to several friends. Price was reasonable for Key West Hotels.

We had a great stay at the Lighthouse Court. The staff was very friendly and very helpful.  It was our anniversary and when we got back to our room there was a complementary  bottle of champagne.  The room was very clean and comfortable.  The location of the hotel is great very close to everything. I would recommend this hotel to anybody and we will be staying there again.

We had a very smooth check in and out. Front desk staff was so helpful, gave suggestions and directions to restaurants and sights. One night we had trouble with our TV and a maintenance man came and we all fixed the problem right away. Staff was great and always helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and we enjoyed the café (bar) and pool. Could have added ice to the pool water to make it cool… just kidding was very hot the days we stayed… Only had one suggestion. If you could have a bigger coffee maker in the front office for coffee after 10:00 am. for the guests.

The minute we walked in the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The staff on duty helped me find a parking spot next to hotel and when she could not she insisted on us taking hers and she would find another one herself. We stayed in room 20, it was everything i thought it would be. It was super clean and cozy for me and my boyfriend romantic weekend. The best part was our private balcony and no other room surrounding ours. The hotel was very peaceful to stay at and also very close to all the restaurants and attractions.  I would definitely come back to this hotel when we visit Key West again.

My first visit to Key West, the hotel stay was comfortable, clean rooms, nice breakfast and courtyard. Five neighborhood blocks from Duval street, but still in a good area. May want to suggest to guests the Eco car rentals they are great.

We stayed in a freshly renovated unit all by itself with its own private porch and little white picket fence. We shared a courtyard and gate onto the side road with another unit so sometimes we interrupted their privacy as we passed by, but other than that we did not interfere with each other’s coming and goings. The unit we stayed in was spacious and had plenty of hangers in the closet for our things. The king size bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows to pick from for sleeping comfort. The air conditioner has a remote control which made it easy to change the temperature and fan speed. The AC worked great and made the room cold quickly as needed. We had a Keurig stocked with plenty of single servings. We were pleasantly surprised to have a small refrigerator in the room that kept our beverages ice cold. I had a slushy type drink I stored in the door before I went to bed and it was still icy the next day. I can’t tell you about the TV because we never turned it on.
The splash pool has jets you can turn on, but it was chilled cooler than we cared for to stay in it very long. They told us it is heated in the winter.
Breakfast outside around the pool and under the trees was cozy and comfortable with lots of available tables and chairs. They served local made muffins, bagels, and bread. Also, had an assortment of fresh fruit, yogurt and cereal. They kept up with the coffee – regular and decaf and had hot chocolate & hot tea also available. The orange juice tasted fresh squeezed. You had an option of using ceramic cups or paper to go cups.
Jordan the house cat is a sweetie and loves to lap up a coffee creamer straight from the little cup. He doesn’t jump up on you or beg for affection, so if you are cat adverse – he won’t bother you.

The location was awesome. Just one block behind Duval. Taking the side road from the hotel brought you to the 800 block of Duval which made it easy to go in either direction and get to everything. I would highly recommend a visit to the Wyland Art Gallery – stunning works of art with the artists actually working on their pieces in the Gallery. Also, the Olde Towne Trolley is a great way to see all of Key West and get some history at the same time. They stop in 13 different places and you can get on and off all day with the same ticket. Also, you can purchase a 2nd day for only $10.

I would definitely recommend the Merlin Guesthouse and ask for a unit away from Simonton Street. This gets you away from the traffic and the neighborhood roosters.
