Fantastic stay overall!  Room was clean and amenities were great.  Hotel team and housekeeping were very nice and helpful.  Kevin and Mike did a great job at the Mojito Bar.  Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.  Overall great stay and I can’t wait to come back!

I really liked the bungalow we stayed in. It was spotless and new.  Just a short walk to Duval and everything that’s happening in Key West. The staff was great, and we will definitely stay there again. We recommended The Key Lime Inn to my girlfriend’s parents and they will be checking in tomorrow! We told all of our friends about how great it was staying there and I know some of them will be staying there in the future.

A really good experience at Merlin’s. The staff were friendly and willing to direct me to attractions that I may have missed without local knowledge. I really like the vintage, historic appeal with all of the comfort of home. Parking in Key West  can be a real problem in the downtown area but at Merlin Guesthouse the Duval street attractions are a 2 minute walk away. I will be sure to include Merlin Guesthouse when making  future plans to visit the Keys.

My husband and I stayed over the 2014/2015 New Years week. We had a wonderful time. This was our 7th stay at the Key Lime Inn and we have stayed at, what once was called The Red Roaster, but is now The Chelsea House, one of their sister hotels. We love the breakfast and the staff at Key Lime Inn are always pleasant, take time to listen and respond quickly with anything they can do to make our stay the best ever. Looking forward to our next stay with one of the Historic Key West Inns – wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Key West.

My wife and I spent a great couple days and nights at Chelsea House for an anniversary trip.
We were delighted with everything about the premises, including the breakfast layout next to the pool, the location in the middle of the historic district with easy walking distance to Duval St and other Key West sites, the dog-friendly atmosphere and the other like-minded guests. I can recommend Chelsea House to people of all ages.

We just stayed at the Merlin from 12/21 through 12/29 (2014).  My husband and I are both a “young 62″ and we have lots of vacations in our lives.  I lived in Key West as a young teen (2 years) but only returned to vacation 10 years ago.  This was our 3rd trip.  We will RETURN to the Merlin.  We arrived after 10 our 1st nite and immediately a lovely and friendly woman came to greet us and give us our key/show us the basics and welcome us!  Sorry but can’t recall her name but she made some nice suggestions about where to get a late nite bite.

Next morning we met Kenneth and he was awesome.  Everyday when we sat out on the patio for the perfect breakfast (you had just the right combination of not too heavy choices—LOVED that!) he was right there with suggestions, answering our many questions and being a wonderful hands-on manager.  He got us hooked up right away with great bike rentals.  We compared prices later as we passed various bike-rental stands and he definitely got us a great deal!  We do not drive a car while there and we zoomed all over the island (usually wearing bathing suits or shorts as the weather was phenomenal)—going to FANTASTIC restaurants (Louie’s Backyard on C.Eve was a blast!!!  Mini monsoon made for a dramatic rush off the lower tiers inside but Louie’s had it all together and accommodated everybody immediately/smoothly into the festive foyer/living area with cozy tables/settings.  We were lucky enough to be farthest out on the awning-covered area where clear-plastic protective shades were undrawn as we sat with our dinner and watched the amazing lightening show!!!  Pouring rain suddenly stopped just as we were about to leave bikes and call a cab.  We pedaled back to Merlin just in the nick of time—4 minutes later the downpour revived.  It was great!)

We LOVED our room (the one with the big patio facing the pool)—everything was clean, comfortable and quiet!  My husband was inspired to buy us a new bed after returning from K.W. because he realized that he could be sleeping better after resting so well at the Merlin.

We were lucky enough to catch the local Christmas House Tour, see all the lighted houses from our bikes and checked out some new activities (to us) such as the ECO CENTER, the oldest house in Key West and the Women’s Club House (is that what it is called?).  Repeated some of our favs (Butterfly Sanctuary, Dante’s bar/pool/mojitos/cracked conch, El Sibonay) and loved going back for the 2nd time (this trip)to Santiago Bodega. Fun spot!

The staff at the Merlin were ALL so nice, professional and did great jobs!  The cleaning ladies were so cute and helpful if we needed extra towels or whatnot.  We just LOVED the location of the Merlin Guesthouse and were super excited to be introduced to “Off the Hook” (just kitty-corner) where we had lunch one day and dinner another—everything was EXCELLENT!

So I am working on trying to plan going back to Key West for next Christmas but hoping to stay at least a week longer….!   Thanks for helping to make this my FAVORITE VACATION & Christmas ever!!!   SINCERELY and I REALLY MEAN THAT!!!–Nancy

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Cypress House very much. Check in was fine. I was aware that parking is an issue and was ok with the fact we would be parking a few blocks away with additional charge. Kelly was friendly at check in and personally took us to our room a few houses away. Our room was clean, spacious and quiet. I would advise immobile people to request a ground floor room due to no elevator because is a historic house. We felt the pool area was lovely and a peaceful oasis. Breakfast was delicious. We loved the hotel and the location. We would recommend the hotel and hope to return soon!

Had a short stay, with family. Liked much the old fashioned atmosphere, although modern facilities. There was a great rush while arrival and we didn’t get rooms right away, but it was handled a nicely by the reception crew!!

Great time!!! First time to the island, and couldn’t have had a better time!!!  The whole staff, Nick at the front desk, Nick at the bar, and the cleaning staff were so friendly and attentive.  This location rocked because I brought my 4 grown daughters and being one block from Duval Street was ideal!! Thank you Cathi B!! Will definitely tell my  friends .. C u soon..

we arrived at Chelsea House after a terrible trip from Fort Lauderdale. as soon as I walked into the office area, my whole attitude  was changed.  the young lady had an accent and was the most gracious desk person I have ever met.  she made me feel like I was the only person staying there. she made sure that I understood everything and made sure that if we needed anything to let her know. the room was more than we expected. a huge private porch and all the amenities you could ask for. it was  a great way to end a horrible day. the breakfast area was unique and had a large variety of options. the pool was quite nice and it was a very  peaceful place. i would not hesitate to recommend Chelsea House to anyone. thanks for the excellent service. please give the young lady at the desk an atta girl. thanks again
