The Cypress House is perfect for anyone that wants to be close to many of Key West’s best attractions while staying at a quiet, private location.  The rooms were modern & comfortable, the staff was amazing, and the location could not be beat. The breakfast was awesome and the free happy hour was the perfect way to end the day and start the evening.  This was my first stay at the Cypress House and will not be my last.  Stay here now!

This was our first stay and we were very happily surprised, from the great hospitality to relaxed and beautiful accommodations. With limited time to get away, this property was perfect to relax and get away while still being close to the downtown. Special thanks to Robbie (front desk) who went out of her way for me and my spouse.

From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. Location of the hotel is outstanding and couldn’t be closer to Duval while still the privacy and seclusion of a quiet weekend getaway. The staff is personable and friendly with good suggestions on anything you may want to do.  Our room was clean and had the perfect Key West decor and we couldn’t have enjoyed ourselves any more!

Recently took a short trip to Key West from Islamorada for a few days of relaxation from work and we picked the right place! Beautiful hotel with a great location, friendly staff, clean rooms and grounds, and fun pool!  Walking distance to so many fun places and just a short bike ride to the Southernmost Point. Can’t wait to return and visit my favorite restaurant Santiago Bodegas in September!  The only thing that would make this place perfect would be some type of shuttle to the parking ramp. Thanks for the great hospitality!

Ms. Fondriest,  I was going to send a letter before I received this e mail, that is how strongly my wife, friends and I felt about the way we are always treated by the staff at the Merlin.  My wife and I were residents of Key West for 12 years.  When it became necessary to leave Key West we knew we always wanted to return for lobster mini season.  We have a group of old friends that always accompany us.  We chose the Merlin simply because it had a room with a kitchen and had availability the year we moved. That was 5 mini seasons ago.

We have come back to the Merlin every year since and will return every year for the foreseeable future. The reason for this is the staff!  Especially Linda!  Each and every year any request we may make is satisfied with a smile.  My wife worked in the hotel business when we lived in Key West (the Hilton/Westin).  She has made the comment many times that we get better treatment at the Merlin than any hotel she has ever seen.  We are quite aware that there are many many choices for lodging in Key West but we always chose the Merlin because of the service and friendliness of the staff.

We said it ourselves, but please thank the staff at the Merlin once again for a great week.  We can’t wait for next year, that’s why we booked it already.  Thank you.

We stayed here for our friend’s bachelorette party!  It was a good choice for location and value.  We used the ferry to go to and from Fort Myers and the location was perfect to walk to and from the harbor.  All the staff we encountered were kind, accommodating, and genuinely warm.  The room was comfortable size for 4 women and we appreciated the wetbar area and mini fridge.  The pool was small and very warm as is the area around it with only 2 loungers but understandable for the size of the property.  The continental breakfast in the morning was convenient and sufficient to “hold us over” until we walked to a lunch spot.  We really enjoyed  Carolines on Duval for lunch, nearby Mangia Mangia for dinner, and grabbed lobster rolls from the Eaton Seafood Market for the ferry ride home.  We would love to try another Inn in the historic key west inns family for our next trip as we like the non-franchise, local-feel.  Thank you!

Traveling with an 8 month old is not the easiest, but staying at the Chelsea House Pool & Gardens made it a comfortable get away. The room was spacious enough for our little one to explore and sleep comfortably in the pack-n-play. The staff was extremely helpful from check-in to check-out. Every time we called the front desk for a request they responded immediately. The pool was a great place to cool off after a long day of exploring. We ate at a variety of restaurants (Louie’s Backyard, Firefly, Pepe’s & El Siboney to name a few) as well as drank (Hog’s Breath & all of the Duval bars). We would definitely stay at the Chelsea House Pool & Gardens again!

Phenomenal stay at the Albury!  Kaya and Malik were a terrific pair: hostess, greeter, and concierge team-extraordanairre(s).  Room was perfect for our first-ever Key West visit. Carpeting needs to be replaced, but other than that, super-clean with a great leisurely pool for soaking during a hot afternoon.  Location quiet, but close to everything we wanted (bars, restaurants, historical attractions, bars, beach, fishing, water sports, bars).  Harpoon Harry’s for a casual breakfast is recommended.  Be prepared to carry cash as some of the best places don’t accept plastic.  Bring comfortable walking shoes and don’t think about driving once you find a place to park.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Key Lime Inn.  The price was reasonable, the rooms and grounds were very nice and clean.  This was my 3rd trip to Key West and my first stay at Key Lime Inn.  I have recommended it to my friends who also travel to KW quite a bit.  The location was perfect.  My fave restaurant was Firefly’s which was one of the best meals I’ve had.  The really only complaint I would have is that the soap holders in the showers did not really fit with the shampoo/body wash containers provided….other than that small inconvenience, it was a perfect trip.

Thanks!
